loans, circa 1945-1950, organized A-Z by name of individual. There was about $75,000 available to CPS men
after they were discharged. Similar to
the government's GI assistance program.
By 1950, this fund had grown to about $250,000.
-2 Correspondence about timber land as a
possible area to settle CPS men. John M.
Snyder, Guy F. Hershberger and C. L. Graber were involved in this.

This corporation
eventually carried life insurance, which was a sensitive issue in the church
for many years dating from the 1940s-1960s.
On July 13, 1966, it became a Fraternal Beneficiary Organization. This was the merger of the Survivor's Aid
not-for-profit Plan, and the Hospital Aid plan.
