On the 11th of June 1871, in Fayette county, Pa., Chauncey B. son of Jacob J. and --- Johnson, aged 10 years and 4 months. He was buried on the 13th. Services by David Johnson and Hugh O. Rosborough.

On the 27th of September, in Summit township Somerset county, Pa., Bro. Christian Sagler, aged 78 years, 3 months and 4 days. He suffered about 4 weeks, which he bore with christian fortitude, praying for his time here to end. He was a brother in the Mennonite church for many years. His departure is deeply felt by the brethren and sisters. He was buried on the 29th in the family burying-ground. Funeral services by the writer in German and by C. Lint in English from Eccl. 9:10.

On the 28th of September, Charles Franklin, son of William C. Livengood, aged 21 days. He was buried at the same time and place as the above. Services by the writer in German and --- Koplin in English from Rev. 20:6.

On the 4th of October, in Jordan, Canada, Barbara Albrecht, aged 38 years, 5 months and 15 days.

On the 24th of October, in Hilltown, Bucks county, Pa., Christian Young, at the advanced age of 84 years, less 4 days. On the 27th his lifeless remains were interred in Line Lexington burying- ground. Funeral discourses at the house by John Walter and Samuel Leatherman, and at the Meeting-house by John Holdeman and Samuel Gottschall.

On the 2nd of November in the same place, John Beachtel, aged about 76 years. Buried at Line Lexington. Discourses were delivered by S. Leatherman, John Allebach and J.M. Haldeman.

On the 8th of November, 1871, in Wakarusa, Elkhart county, Ind., of erysipelas, Joseph Brubaker, aged 49 years, 2 months and 26 days. He was buried on the 10th. Funeral discourse by Jacob Beidler and J.F. Funk. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn their loss.

On the 9th of November, in Hilltown, Samuel Funk, at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 25 days. He was buried on the 11th at the Perquasie burying-ground. Funeral addresses by Isaac Oberholtzer and Abrm. F. Moyer.

On the 10th of November, in Elkhart county, Ind., Allen, twin son of John and Esther Walter, aged 1 month, 2 weeks and 5 days. Funeral discourse by J.F. Funk.

On the 11th of November, in Sharon township, Johnson county, Iowa, after 4 days suffering of putrid sore throat Nancy, daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth Marner. Her body was consigned to the grave on the 12th at Christian Shoetler's burying-ground, followed by a large concourse of friends and acquaintances, mourning her early departure. Funeral address by Paul P. Harshberger, from Matt. 24:42-44.

On the 12th of November, in New Britian* township, Bucks county, Pa., at the residence of William Haldeman, where she had been living since she was a small girl, and was much beloved by the family, Catharine Ann, daughter of Jacob Lapp, of Hilltown, aged 21 years and 12 days. Her disease wa typhoid fever. Interred at Line Lexington. Funeral discourses by J.M. Haldeman and Isaac Richert. She was s sister in the Mennonite church.

On the 11th of November, in Carroll county, Ill., Martin Eshelman, aged 60 years, 2 months and 1 day. His remains were interred the 13th. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn their loss. Funeral services by the Rev. Trump from Heb. 9:27, and 14:13.
Father sweetly rest thee now,
Undisturbed by pain or woe;
In submission thou didst bow,
To the ills of life below.

Now from all thy labors rest
In the bosom of the Lord;
Now enjoy that state so blest,
God has promised by his word.

On the 27th of October, in Paint township, Somerset county, Pa., Bro. Joseph Lehman, aged 70 years and 11 months. He was buried on the 31st in Henry Foust's grave-yard, followed by his aged companion, seven sons and four daughters, and a large concourse of friends and relatives to mourn his loss. They need not mourn as those who have no hope, for he has put his trust in Jesus. He bore his sickness with patience, till death released him. Funeral sermon by the aged brethren Samuel and Jacob Blaugh.

On the 7th of November, in Conemaugh township, Somerset county, Pa., Noah, son of John Thomas, aged 11 years, 10 months and 11 days. He was buried on the 9th. Funeral discourse by Daniel Brenneman of Elkhart, Indiana to a large concourse of relatives and friends, from a part of the eleventh chapter of St . John.
