- Anna C., daughter of Chris-tian and Lydia (Yoder) Ropp, was
born Jan. 29, 1901, and died on Oct. 5, 1972, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa
City, Iowa, following a lingering illness, at the age of 71 years, 8
months, 6 days. She united with the Old Order Amish Church in her youth
and remained faithful to, the end. On Nov. 30, 1920, she was united in
mar-riage to Edward G. Yoder near Kalona, Iowa, living in that vicinity
all her life.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, six sons, and four
daughters. Sylvanus L., Hayward, Wis.; Louis W., Nappanee, Ind.; Alton
D., Riverside, Iowa; Chriss R., John Edward, Marvin M., Mrs. Jacob
(Viola) Schlabach, Mrs. Eddie J. (Dorothy) Miller, Mrs. Herman E.
(Lydia Anna) Miller, all of Kalona, and Edna at home; also 52
grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers: Sol C., Joe C..
George C,. and Jeff C,. all of Kalona, and Chriss C. of Jamesport, MO.
She was pre-ceded in death by one son, Thomas, one grandchild, one
brother and four sisters.
Services were held on Oct. 8, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jacob
Schlabach, by William G. Miller of Arthur, Ill. and Truman Miller in
the house, and by Lester B. Miller and Tobias J. Miller in the shed.
Burial in East Union Cemetery.

YODER.-
Dan S. Yoder, son of Samuel D. and Lena (Hostetler) Yoder, was
born near Springs, Pa., on Feb. 27, 1904. He passed away, June 18,
1972, at his home in Kalona, Iowa, on Father's Day, after a lingering
illness, at the age of 68 years, 3 months, and 22 days.
In his youth he accepted Christ w Saviour -and Lord. After moving to
Iowa in 1926, he united with the Upper Deer Creek Conservative
Mennonite Church where he was a faithful member at the time of his
death.
On Nov. 9, 1930, he was united in marriage to Fannie Beachy.
His departure from this life was in peace, yet he leaves to mourn his
depar-ture, his companion, 4 sons, Delmar Ray, Madison; Wis.; Ezra
James, Hesston, Kan-sas; Robert Daniel, Iowa City, Iowa; Ray-mond Jay,
Kalona, Iowa; and 3 daughters, Velma Irene, Erma Mae (Mrs. Mike
Edwards) both of Iowa City; and Gloria Faye, Wichita, Kan.; and 8
grandchildren. Also 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Eli S. Yoder, Kalona;
Lena (Mrs. Jake Gingerich). Clark, Mo.; Nettie M. Yoder, Springs, Pa.;
and Jacob S. Yoder, Salisbury, Pa.
Brother Dan will be remembered for his kindness and patience and his
interest in seeing the advance of the Kingdom of God, and he enjoyed
and spent consider-able time in the work of the church.
Funeral services were held on June 21 at the Upper Deer Creek Church
with burial in the church ceme-tery.

ZEHR- Moses
Zehr was born in Oxford County, Ontario, Canada, on Sept. 18,
1892. Died March 14, 1972, in K.W. Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Can; at
the age of 79 years, 5 months and 26 days, after a brief illness.
In his youth he accepted Christ as his Saviour and was baptized in the
Amish Mennonite Church, remaining faithful to the end.
On Jan. 8, 1918, he was married to Fanny Lichti, who predeceased him on
March 5, 1965. He is survived by 4 sons, John and Jacob of R. 1,
Millbank, Ont., Norman of Brunner, Ont, and Elmer of Kitchener, Ont.; 4
daughters, Emma (wife of Allen Wagler) and Esther (wife of Ohmer
Jantzi) of R. 1, Wellesley, Ont., Mary (wife of Amos Gerber) and Laura
of R. 1, Millbank, Ont. Also 4 brothers, David and Jacob of R. 1.
Millbank, Ont., Aaron of Lewis County, New York, Amos of R. 3,
Wellesley, Ont., 1 sister, Mrs. Barbara Noftsier of Lewis County, New
York. 36 grandchildren and 1 great -grand-child. He was preceded in
death by one sister and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite meeting
house on March 17, conducted by Noah Gerber of the home congregation
and Noah Peachey and Alvin Peachey of Belleville, Penna. Interment in
adjoining cemetery.
