TROYER, David A.;
TROYER.-
David A., son of Abraham and Sarah (Eash) Troyer, was born Aug.
29, 1880, in Newton County, Ind., and died at his home near Arthur,
Ill., on July 20, 1976; at the age of 95 yrs. 10 mo. and 21 days. He
was a member of the O.O. Amish Church, and was ordained a Deacon in
1921. He was first married to Mary D. Yutzy in 1904 near Arthur, Ill.;
she preceded him in death in 1950. He then married Anna Miller on Nov.
4, 1951, who survives. Also three sons and two daughters: Lewis of
Middlebury, Ind.; Daniel of Plain City, Ohio; Melvin of Garnett, Kans.;
Mrs. Rudy (Sovilla) Mast of Arthur, Ill.; and Mrs. Jonas (Ada)
Hostetler of Detroit, Mich. Also four stepsons and four stepdaughters:
John Miller of Middlebury, Ind.; William Miller of Arthur, Ill.; Fred
Miller of Riverside, Iowa; Ervin Miller of Sullivan, Ill.; Lizzie, Mrs.
Rudy ……….. ?,* Mrs. Joel (Sovilla) Schrock, Mrs. Fred (Esther) Schrock,
Mrs. Jacob M. (Edna) Miller, all of Arthur, Ill.; 37 grandchildren, 75
great-grandchildren; also quite a few nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Joe S. (Sarah) Graber, and
eight sisters. Services were held on the home place July 23, 1976, by
Bishop Lester Schlabach of Holmes County Ohio, and Bishop Jerry Yoder,
Garnett, Kan. Burial in Otto Cemetery south of Arthur, Illinois.
