Richer, Walter H.

Walter H. Richer, 87, rural Wauseon , died Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 1997, at Fulton Manor, in Wauseon, where he had resided about one month.
    Born Nov. 26, 1909, in Allen County, Indiana, he was a son of Henry and Mary (Aeschliman) Richer, and married Alice Wyse on Dec. 22, 1931. He lived his lifetime in the Wauseon area, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the West Clinton Mennonite Church near Pettisville.
    Surviving are his wife, Alice; two sons, Virgil (Sharon) Richer, Archbold; and Leonard (Donelda) Richer, Wauseon; three daughters, Mrs. Orville (LaJane) Yoder, Goshen, Ind.; Mrs. Darwin (Ilene) Nofziger, Wauseon; and Mrs. Roger (Shirley) Martin, Mt. Joy, Pa.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Willard Richer, Archbold; and one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Florence) Aschliman, Archbold.
    Memorial services were Friday, 11 a.m. at the West Clinton Mennonite Church with James Roynon and Edward Diener as the officiating pastors. Burial was in the Pettisville Cemetery.
