Thierry, Lucie V. Hartman

(1905-2004)

ARCHBOLD - Lucie V. Thierry, 98, of Archbold, died early Sunday morning, Jan. 18, 2004, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold, where she had lived since Dec. 15, 1994.
Born Nov. 29, 1905, at Cullom, Ill., she was the daughter of Magdalena (Blosser) and Emanuel Hartman. She married Kores Thierry on Feb. 26, 1925, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1975. A resident of the Fayette area many years, she was a homemaker, and a member of the Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold.
Surviving are a son, Carl (and wife Marcie) Thierry of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leonard (Lois) King of Archbold; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Barnes of Tampa, Fla.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul Thierry; five brothers, Wayland, Herman, Elias, DeWitt and David Hartman; and a sister, Emma Poorman. Friends may call at the Fairlawn Chapel from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Services will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Fairlawn Chapel with Pastors Charles Gautsche and Anne Stuckey officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Fairlawn Haven or the donor's favorite charity.

Troyer, Ordo
, 92, Lindsborg, KS, son of Roy S. and Nora (Miller) Troyer, died Saturday, June 19, 2004. Ordo was born May 1, 1912, in Inman, KS. He graduated from Hesston Academy and attended Hesston College, Hesston, KS. He married Frances Ekholm on November 16, 1940. He was a retired aircraft employee having worked as a machinest of very tiny parts. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1979, and a son, Russell, in 2001.

Survivors include a sister, Vesta Gingerich of Hesston, and a grandson, Richard. A memorial service was held at the Andover Lutheran Church, Windom, KS with interment in the church cemetery.
