Armstrong, Esther Faye, daughter of Jesse and Beulah (Beck) Armstrong, was stillborn at Wauseon, Ohio, May 16, 1963. Surviving are the parents, 2 sisters (Donna and Grace), one brother (Marvin), and grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Armstrong, and Mrs. Solomon Beck). Graveside services were held at the Pettisville Cemetery, May 17, in charge of Charles H. Gautsche.

Becker, Gladys Martha (Weaver), was born at Atwood, Kans., April 7, 1913; died at her home in Salem, Oreg., May 11, 1963; aged 50 y. 1 m. 4 d. After taking nurses' training, she served in India as a missionary. On July 11, 1943, she was married to Henry D. Becker, who survives. Also surviving are 5 children (Elaine, Paul, Ruth, James, and Mary), her stepmother, one sister, and 5 brothers. They served two terms on the Bihar, India, mission field. Since returning to the Sates in 1959, she taught health classes and served as school nurse at Western Mennonite School. Preced-ing her in death were her parents and one brother. Funeral services were held at the Zion Church, May 13, in charge of Wilbert Nafziger, Marcus Lind, and John M. Lederach.

Bender, Amelius D., son of Daniel and Louisa (Sindlinger) Bender, was born at Wellman, Iowa, July 23, 1878; died at Iowa City, Iowa, April 12, 1963; aged 84 y. 8 m. 21 d. In 1904 he was married to Emma Gunden, who died in 1934. Surviving are 2 children (Lola-Mrs. Harry Showalter and Lloyd). He was a member of the West Union Church, where funeral services were held April 15, in charge of Herman E. Ropp and Paul T. Guengerich.

Blosser, Chester H., son of Jacob and Har-riet (Christophel) Blosser, was born in Elkhart Co., Ind., Dec. 19, 1891; died at the Elkhart General Hospital, May 3, 1963; aged 71 y. 4 m. 14 d. On Feb. 7, 1914, he was married to Mabel Hoover, who died May 31, 1916. On April 14, 1917, he was married to Florence Gongwer, who died July 13, 1954. To this union 2 daughters were born. On June 16, 1956, he was married to Myrtle (Dils) Mattmiller, who survives. Also surviving are his 2 daughters (Gladys-Mrs. Floyd Brandeberry and Vera-Mrs. Lamar Loucks), 4 grandchil-dren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters (Harve, Oscar, Mrs. Amos Weldy, and Mrs. Mahlon S. Wea-ver). He was a member of the Olive Church. Funeral services were held at the Yellow Creek Church, May 5, in charge of Elno Steiner and Carl Gongwer.

Carpenter, Fannie, daughter of Peter J. and Lavina (Schartz) Eicher, was born at Berne, Ind., Oct. 15, 1894; died at her home near Centreville, Mich., May 7, 1963; aged 68 y. 6 m. 22 d. On Aug. 28, 1919, she was married to Joseph D. Carpenter, who survives. Also surviving are 8 children (Joseph, Jr., Marcus, Bertha-Mrs. David Bontrager, Esther-Mrs. Ralph Troyer, James, Mary, Ann, and Edna), 22 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 5 broth-ers (Mrs. Elizabeth McNall, Mrs. Rachael Harbeson, Mrs. Leah Kauffman, Peter, Jacob, Samuel, John, and Joseph). She was a member of the Locust Grove Church, Burr Oak, Mich., where funeral services were held May 10, in charge of 0. H. Hooley, William Hooley, and Willard Sommers.

Dallas, Gwendolyn, daughter of Mrs. Helen and the late William Dallas, was born July 18, 1948; death came by drowning on April 28, 1963; aged 14 y. 9 m. 10 d. Surviving are 7 brothers and sisters (Betty Jean Fortson, Herman L., William, Alfred, James, Eliza-beth Marie, and Ronnie). She was a member of and a faithful teacher at the College Hill Mennonite Church, Tampa, Fla., where funeral services were held May 4, in charge of Amos Sweigart, Alvin Weaver, and Martin Lehman.

Kilheffer, Harold Richard, son of Harold M. and Nora Mae (Shaub) Kilheffer, was born at Lancaster, Pa., April 20, 1963; died of a congenital heart condition at St. Christopher's Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., May 3, 1963; aged 13 d. Surviving are his parents, one brother (Kenneth Eugene), 2 sisters (Patricia Ann and Cynthia Mae), and grandparents (Samuel Z. and Nora M. Shaub; and Abram K. Kilheffer). Services were held at the Oscar Gundel Funer-al Home, with Abram Charles, Jr., in charge; interment in Millersville Cemetery.

Kuhns, Inez, daughter of Emanuel and Anna Shupe, was born at Marion, Kans., July 16, 1888; died at the Pueblo (Colo.) Hospital, April 2, 1963; aged 74 y. 8 m. 16 d. In 1907 she was married to Allen W. Kuhns, who preceded her in death. Two sons also preceded her in death. Surviving are 7 children (James, Helen-Mrs. Clarence Freeman, Hazel-Mrs. John Hershberger, Eunice-Mrs. Wal-lace Shellenberger, Lois-Mrs. Woodrow Ramseyer, Inez-Mrs. Herbert Fry, and Miriam-Mrs. Robert Liechty) and 27 grandchildren. Mrs. Kuhns was owner of The Better Book-room in La Junta, Colo., for many years. Funeral services were held at the La Junta Mennonite Church, April 5, with Paul Martin and Menno Troyer in charge; interment in Hol-brook Cemetery, Cheraw, Colo.

Lehman, Daniel, son of Peter and Cath-erine (Widrick) Lehman, was born at Beaver Falls, N.Y., July 27, 1876; died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Schaefer, Norwich, Conn., April 26, 1963; aged 86 y. 8. m. 30 d. On Oct. 16, 1902, he was married to Mary Yousey, who died Jan. 28, 1949. Surviving, besides his daughter, are 2 sons (Mahlon and Wilbur) and 7 grandchildren. He was a mem-ber of the Conservative Mennonite Church, Croghan, N.Y., where funeral services were conducted April 29, by Leon Martin, Richard Zehr, and Elias Zehr.

Martin, Howard Daniel, son of George and Amanda Martin, was born in Stark Co., Ohio, July 30, 1912; died May 6, 1963, at the Telfree Memorial Hospital, West Branch, Mich., after a long illness; aged 50 y. 9 m. 6 d. On Dec. 24, 1936, he was married to Clara Neff, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Jerry), one daughter (Karen), and 3 sisters (Mrs. Edith Calkins, Mrs. Clara Boegli, and Mrs. George Breneman). He was a member of the Fairview Church, where funeral services were held May 9, in charge of Harvey Handrich.

Shumaker, Grant, son of Levi and Mary (Sowers) Shumaker, was born near Stryker, Ohio, Dec. 22, 1886; died at his home in West Unity, Ohio, March 11, 1963; aged 76 y. 2 m. 17 d. On April 2, 1907, he was married to Mertie May Ansley, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter (Helen-Mrs. Bob Sapp), 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and one sister (Mrs. Mable Chapman). One son, one brother, and one sister preceded him in death. On Oct. 25, 1960, he accepted Christ as Saviour and became a member of the Salem Church, Waldron, Mich. Funeral services were held at Grisier's Funeral Home, March 14, in charge of Earl Stuckey.

Smith, Emma K., daughter of Jacob and Dena Becker, was born at Sterling, Ill., Nov. 3, 1897; died at the Hill Rest Home, Nov. 17, 1962; aged 65 y. 14 d. In 1915 she was married to Harry 0. Smith, who died June 27, 1956. Also preceding her were 4 sons, one daughter, and 5 brothers. Surviving are 3 sons (Orville O., Harold, and Earl), one daughter (Lois Jean-Mrs. Robert Haubmaier), 2 sisters (Mrs. Orris Fowler and Mrs. Harry Drury), and 5 grandchildren. She was a member of the West Sterling Mennonite Church, which she faith-fully attended until failing health made it no longer possible.

Smith, Martha, daughter of Mannasseh R. and Mary Ann (Cober) Fretz, was born at Markham, Ont., Jan. 16, 1888; died at Kitch-ener, Ont., April 23, 1963; aged 75 y. 3 m. 7 d. On Dec. 28, 1909, she was married to Chris-topher Smith, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sisters (Nancy-Mrs. Elvon Snider, Ella-Mrs. Orval Weber, and Mabel-Mrs. Vernice Hoover) and 4 brothers (Oran, Lewis, Fred, and Edward). She was a member of the Rainham congregation. Funeral services were held at the Wideman Church, April 26, in charge of Newton L. Gingrich and Robert Johnson.

Snyder, Anna Mary, daughter of Christian and Elizabeth (Shupe) Snyder, was born near Roseland, Nebr., Dec. 23, 1896; died at the Mennonite Home for the Aged, Albany, Oreg., April 29, 1963; aged 66 y. 4 m. 6 d. She was very active in the work of the church since her youth. She was a pioneer in promoting the vacation Bible schools in rural communi-ties, was an active member of the Pacific Coast Sewing Circle, and had spent several years working at the Akron, Pa., and Reedley, Calif., MCC centers. For the last four and one-half years she had been a resident of the Home for the Aged; due to illness she was greatly restricted in her activity. Death was due to respiratory infection together with chronic conditions. Two sisters and one brother pre-ceded her in death. Surviving are 2 sisters (Mrs. Alta Gingerich and Matilda-Mrs. Omar Miller) and 5 brothers (Menno, Albert, John, Paul, and Allen). Funeral services were held at the Hopewell Church, Hubbard, Oreg., May 1, in charge of Melvin Schrock, Sam Shrock, and Jonathan Zook.

Sommer, Emma, daughter of Peter C. and Anna (Gerber) Sommer, died at the Dunlap Memorial Hospital, Orrville, Ohio, where she had been a patient for 3 days; aged 79 y. For many years she and her sister Fanny cared for their invalid mother. Following the death of their mother, they moved to Orrville. Surviving are her sister (Fanny), who at 82 years of age is confined to the Wayne County Hos-pital, one brother (Joel), and 25 nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Mennon-ite Church since her youth. Funeral services were held at the Kidron Church, May 3, in charge of Reuben Hofstetter, Bill Detweiler, and Lester Graybill.

Sommers, Helen, daughter of Simeon and Mattie (Amstutz) Lehman, was born at Dalton, Ohio, March 20, 1891; died at the Sara-sota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital, April 28, 1963; aged 72 y. 1 m. 8 d. On Dec. 9, 1909, she was married to Joel Sommers, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters (Mrs. Ralph Fetter and Mrs. Clark Yoder), 3 brothers (Bert, Men-no, and Fred), 8 grandchildren, and 11 great--grandchildren. One son preceded her in death. She was a member of the Kidron (Ohio) Church. Funeral services were held at the Bay Shore Church, Sarasota, May 2, with T. H. Brenneman in charge; interment in Manasota Cemetery.

Springer, Mary, daughter of John and Fan-nie (Birkey) Litwiller, was born near Hopedale, Ill., Feb. 2, 1878; died at the Hopedale Hospital, May 5, 1963; aged 85 y. 3 m. 3 d. On Feb. 9, 1896, she was married to Joseph W. Springer, who died Nov. 28, 1956. Surviving are 6 children (Laura-Mrs. Silas Nafziger, Martha, Allan, Simon, Elmer, and Ada-Mrs. Paul Schertz), 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 brothers (Amos, John, and Aaron). She was a member of the Hopedale Church, where funeral services were held May 7, in charge of Ivan Kauffmann and Bob Detweiler.

Stutzman, Silas, son of Samuel and Martha (Hartzler) Stutzman, was born at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, May 21, 1878; died at the Pleasant View Rest Home, Harrisonville, Mo., April 17, 1963; aged 84 y. 10 m. 27 d. On Dec. 2, 1900, he was married to Salome Kenagy, who died Feb. 13, 1944. One daughter and one son also preceded him in death. Surviving are 7 chil-dren (Fred, Ruby-Mrs. John A. Kauffman, Lydia, Carl, Ralph, Glen, and Homer), 27 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Sycamore Grove Church, where funeral services were held April 20, in charge of Leonard Garber; interment in Clearfork Cemetery.

Sweigart, Hannah G., daughter of Christian and Louisa (Garman) Shirk, was born in Lan-caster Co., Pa., Aug. 7, 1881; died at the Bethel Hospital, Newton, Kans., May 11, 1963; aged 81 y. 9 m. 4 d. On Feb. 10, 1900, she was married to Jacob R. Sweigart, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons and 7 daughters (Joseph S., Milton, Alice Manning, Laura Thompson, Ada Bricker, Simon S., Lee S., Margaret Baker, Minnie Pippinger, Jane (Jen-nie) Kauffman, and Esther Fenno), 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters (Lena Martin and Anna Sweigart), and one brother (Noah). One son preceded her in death. They moved to Kansas from Perryton, Texas, in 1937. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Church, Hesston, Kans., where funeral services were held May 14, in charge of Donald King and Earl Buckwalter.

Thomas, Lawrence, son of Daniel J. and Elizabeth (Saylor) Thomas, was born in Somerset Co., Pa., March 4, 1880; died at his home April 1, 1963; aged 83 y. 28 d. On May 10, 1903, he was married to Lizzie Johns, who sur-vives. Also surviving are 3 children (Oscar, Sem, and Fannie), 7 grandchildren, 7 great--grandchildren, and 4 sisters (Mrs. Ellen Thom-as, Mrs. Salome Figge, Mrs. Susanna Keafer, and Mrs. Katie Mishler). One brother pre-ceded him in death. He was a member of the Thomas Church, where funeral services were held, in charge of Sanford G. Shetler and Aldus J. Wingard.

Umble, Ada S., daughter of Michael and Mary (Stoltzfus) Kauffman, was born at Gordonville, Pa., Aug. 4, 1885; was killed instantly when struck by a car near her home at Gap, Pa., Nov. 19, 1962; aged 77 y. 3 m. 15 d. On Jan. 28, 1909, she was married to John G. Umble, who died Oct. 13, 1932. To this union 10 children were born, one of whom preceded her in death. On Nov 8, 1936, she was married to Samuel G. Umble, who died June 11, 1952. Surviving are 9 children (Henry K., Leon H., Omar K., Willis D., John M., Leroy D., Samuel K., Mary Ann-Mrs. Vernon Smoker, and Ada Ruth-Mrs. Melvin Lapp), 54 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers (Michael, Samuel, and Daniel), 2 sisters (Mrs. Rebecca Fisher and Emma-Mrs. John A. Kennel), and 6 stepchildren. She was a member of the Maple Grove Church, where funeral services were held Nov. 23, in charge of Aaron F. Stoltzfus and Abner G. Stoltzfus; interment in Millwood Cemetery, Gap, Pa.

Weber, Israel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Weber, was born in Woolwich Twp., Ont., Jan. 18, 1873; died at Elmira, Ont., May 2, 1963; aged 90 y. 3 m. 14 d. On Feb. 23, 1898, he was married to Elizabeth Wanner, who died in 1957. Surviving are one daughter (Mrs. Honore Klink) and 2 grandchildren. He was a member of the Elmira Church, where funeral services were held May 5, with Howard Bauman officiating.

Weber, Noah S., was born near Waterloo, Ont., Jan. 11, 1868; died at Waterloo, April 16, 1963; aged 95 y. 3 m. 5 d. His first wife, Catherine Brubacher, his second wife, Ellen Stauffer, and his third wife, Adah Burkholder, all preceded him in death. Surviving are 3 daughters (Nora-Mrs. Ivan Groh, Mary-Mrs. Gordon Snyder, and Eva-Mrs. Angus Snider), one son (Lorne), 2 stepsons, 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death. He was ordained as deacon for the Erb Street Church in 1908, and served until be retired in 1944. He also served on the Conference Welfare Board, and loyally supported other work of the church. Funeral services were conducted at the church, April 18, by J. B. Martin.

Wenger, Margaret V. (Maggie), daughter of Jacob C. and Virginia (Suter) Wenger, was born at Edom, Va., May 4, 1888; died at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, Va., April 20, 1963; aged 74 y. 10 m. 16 d. She was an invalid since early child-hood and unable to walk alone, but was always busy, cheerful, and thoughtful of others. She made many quilts and other things for friends and for children. Surviving are 12 brothers and sisters (Mary, Florence, Katie, John R., Homer D., Mrs. R. J. Shenk, Mrs. P. S. Martin, Mrs. H. D. Weaver, Mrs. Jacob Shenk, Mrs. Moffett Faught, Luther, and P. G.). One brother and one sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Lindale Church, where funeral services were held April 24, in charge of Moses Slabaugh and John R. Mumaw.

Yoder, Bertha Ann, daughter of Joseph and Mary Hartzler, was born at East Lynne, Mo., July 25, 1886; died at the Iowa City, Iowa, Hospital, May 2, 1963; aged 76 y. 9 m. 7 d. On July 4, 1908, she was married to J. Roy Yoder. Surviving are her husband, 3 brothers (J. E., Joe G., and Herbert L.), and one sister (Fannie Breneman). Four brothers and one sister pre-ceded her in death. She was a member of the Methodist church in Garden City, Mo. Memo-rial services were held at Sharon Center, Iowa, May 4, and funeral services were held at Garden City, Mo., May 5, in charge of Troy Gardner; interment in Clearfork Cemetery.

Yoder, Ezra L., son of Levi and Lydia (Schwartzendruber) Yoder, was born near Iowa City, Iowa, Sept. 26, 1894; died at the Oliver Hospital, April 30, 1963; aged 68 y. 7 m. 4 d. On March 21, 1918, he was married to Millie Stauffer, who survives. Also surviving are 4 children (Gladys Viola, Marjorie Mae-Mrs. Eldon Boettger, Kenneth Donald, and Fern Marie-Mrs. Harley Lehman), 11 grandchil-dren, 6 brothers (Dave, Henry, Jake, John, Ray, and Vernon), and 2 sisters (Katie-Mrs. Joe Kauffman and Mary-Mrs. Schwartzendruber). He was a member of the Salem Church, Tofield, Alta., where funeral services were held May 4, in charge of Harold Boettger and Paul Voegtlin.

Yoder, Ruth A., daughter of Alta (Hostetler) and the late John A. Crownover, was born at Belleville, Pa., July 16, 1931; died of cancer at Lewistown, Pa., May 13, 1963; aged 31 y. 9 m. 27 d. On Sept. 10, 1919, she was married to Warren J. Yoder, who survives. Also sur-viving are 3 children (Brenda, Cheryl, and Cedric), her mother (Mrs. Alta Crownover Haffershon), 6 sisters (Arlene-Mrs. Merle Yoder, Virgie, Donna-Mrs. Robert Pry, Carol, Athelda-Mrs. Lee Curry, and Darlis-Mrs. James Dell), 2 half sisters and one half brother (Mildred-Mrs. Rush Stuck, Evelyn-Mrs. Don Packard, and Jesse Crownover). She was a member of the Maple Grove Church, where funeral services were held May 15, in charge of Waldo E. Miller; interment in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Beachy, Neil, son of Eli C. and Maryann (Kaufman) Beachy, was born at Plain City, Ohio, April 2, 1922; was killed instantly in an auto accident near Odell, Ill., while en route to Peoria, Ill., May 18, 1963; aged 41 y. 1 m. 16 d. On April 26, 1942, he was married to Emma Kramer, who survives. He was director of Field Services for Mennonite Mutual Aid. On June 28, 1953, he was ordained to the ministry at Owl Creek, Beaver, Ohio, by Abram Kaufman. He served here and also at Belmont, Elkhart, Ind. Surviving also are 6 children (Leah Pauline, Roger Neil, Ver-onica, Phillip Dean, Jeffrey LaMar, and Ken-neth Dale), 5 brothers (Jonas, John, Noah, Alvin, and Eli, Jr.), and 4 sisters (Florence-Mrs. Mark Hostetler, Elizabeth-Mrs. Reed Lyles, Anna-Mrs. Willis Christner, and Lena-Mrs. Norman Yutzy). He was a member of the College Mennonite Church, Goshen, Ind., where funeral services were held May 21, in charge of John H. Mosemann, Howard J. Zehr, and J. Robert Detweiler; interment in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Boshart, Joseph C., son of Jacob and Mary (Beck) Boshart, was born at Milford, Nebr., Oct. 18, 1893; died at his home in Milford of a heart condition; aged 69 y. 5 m. 15 d. On June 26, 1923, he was married to Faye Stutz-man, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Burdette, Robert, Elwood, and Don), 8 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Elmer and Dave), and 3 sisters (Bertha-Mrs. Henry Gerig, Ida Gerig, and Katie Riel). One daughter, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Milford Mennonite Church. He had served as rural mail carrier for 38 years. Funeral services were held April 5, in charge of Milton Troyer and John D. Springer.

Brubacher, Rodney Lynn, eight-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Amsey Brubacher, Elmira, Ont., died May 28, 1963. Surviving are his parents, and grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Brubacher, and Mr. and Mrs. Menno Bru-bacher). Funeral services were held at the Elmira Church, May 31, with Howard Bauman officiating.

Dombach, Ruth, daughter of Adam and Annie (Huber) Shenk, was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., Nov. 24, 1899; died at her home, Lancaster, Pa., May 13, 1963; aged 63 y. 5 m. 19 d. She was married to Lloyd B. Dombach, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter (Catherine-Mrs. Roy M. Eshleman), 2 sons (Lloyd, Jr., and Robert S.), 7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one brother (Lee M.). She was a member of the New Danville Church. Funeral services were held at the Bear Funeral Home, Millersville, Pa., May 16, in charge of Frank Enck, Elias Groff, and Jacob Harnish; interment in Byerland Men-nonite Cemetery.

Erb, Samuel L., son of Jacob and Barbara (Lichti) Erb, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Nov. 11, 1905; died after a long illness at the K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., April 18, 1963; aged 57 y. 5 m. 7 d. On June 20, 1929, he was married to Lydia Wagler, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Vernon and Edmund), 2 daughters (Vera and Erma), 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers (David and John), and 2 sisters (Nancy-Mrs. Clayton Steinman and Mary). Two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Maple View A.M. Church, where funeral services were held April 21, in charge of Christian Streicher and Alvin Leis.

Gehman, Eli H., son of Enos and Sarah (Histand) Gehman, was born at Bally, Pa., Jan. 1, 1889; died after a long illness at his home in Bally, May 22, 1963; aged 74 y. 4 m. 21 d. On April 21, 1921, he was married to Mary Moyer, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter (Sarah), 2 sons (Noah and Roland), 9 grandchildren, 3 sisters (Bertha, Lizzie, and Elsie-Mrs. Abram Godshall), and 3 brothers (Harvey, Jacob, and David). He was a watchmaker and optometrist, and operated a business with his brother Harvey. He was a member of the Bally Church, where funeral services were held May 25, in charge of Paul E. Longacre, Elias W. KuIp, and Winfield Ruth.

Grove, Florence, daughter of Christian R. and Ella (Binkley) Strite, was born near Cear-foss, Md., Feb. 9, 1886; died at her home in Hagerstown, Md., May 9, 1963; aged 77 y. 3 m. On Nov. 20, 1906, she was married to Jacob A. Grove, who survives. Also surviving are 6 children (Irvin, Ella-Mrs. Irvin Baer, Mary-Mrs. Leonard Ebersole, Harold, Roy, and Mildred-Mrs. Chester Sollenberger), 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one brother (Edgar I.). She was a member of the Cedar Grove Church, where funeral services were held May 12, in charge of Nelson L. Martin, Harold Lehman, and Ray Keim.

Hess, Anna M., daughter of Samuel L. and Annie (Risser) Miller, was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., Sept. 17, 1887; died at her home near Mt. Joy, Pa., March 15, 1963; aged 75 y. 5 m. 26 d. On June 16, 1908, she was married to Elam S. Hess, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter (Elva M.-Mrs. Elmer B. Siegrist) and one son (Miller M.). She was a member of the Mt. Joy Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held March 18, in charge of Christian Frank and Henry Frank; interment in Kraybill's Cemetery.

Jackson, John P., son of John C. and Mary (Harlan) Jackson, was born at Kokomo, Ind., June 6, 1903; died at the Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, Mich., May 8, 1963; aged 59 y. 11 m. 2 d. On Nov. 21, 1934, he was married to Lorene Birkey, who preceded him in death on Dec. 6, 1957. Surviving are 4 daughters (Mary, Norma Jean, Betty, and Sheryl), one son (Ralph), 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. He was a member of the Bowne Church, where fu-neral services were held May 11, with D. A. Yoder, Dan Zook, and T. E. Schrock officiating.

Keener, Ada W., daughter of Simon and Sarah (Wolf) Hess, was born at Lincoln, Pa., Dec. 18, 1881; died after a short illness at the Lancaster (Pa.) General Hospital, May 17, 1963; aged 81 y. 4 m. 29 d. She was married to Jacob R. Keener, who died in 1955. For the past five years she lived at the Lancaster Mennonite Home. She was a charter member of the Lititz Mennonite Church (1907), and contributed much in years past to the quality of the congregational singing. Surviving are one son (Howard H.), one daughter (Irene-Mrs. Henry F. Sturgis), 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 3 sisters (Eva-Mrs. E. Roy Hess, Irene-Mrs. Jason Mellinger, and Helen-Mrs. Reed Overholser). Services were in charge of Lester B. Wenger and Melvin
H. Lauver; burial in Moravian Cemetery, Lititz.

Keller, Elsie, daughter of Clayton and Lydia (Hunsberger) Ruth, was born at Lederach, Pa., Sept. 26, 1915; died at her home, Harleys-ville, Pa., May 24, 1963, of a heart attack; aged 47 y. 7 m. 28 d. Surviving are her husband, 2 children (Kay Leatherman and Larry), 2 grandchildren, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers. She was a member of the Rockhill Church, where funeral services were held May 27, in charge of Clinton D. Landis and Merrill B. Landis.

King, Goldie E., daughter of Isaac and Sarah Elisabeth (Landis) Grove, was born at Weyers Cave, Va., Dec. 13, 1899; died at the Morningside Hospital, Los Angeles, Calif., May 26, 1963; aged 63 y. 5 m. 13 d. On Aug. 8, 1924, she was married to Elbert G. King, who died in 1936. Surviving are 4 children (Leo E., Hazel A.-Mrs. Lorne Kremer, Helen M., and Donald G.), 3 brothers (Charles M., Orie C., and Earl L.). and 8 grandchildren. One infant son, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Calvary Church. Funeral services were held May 29, in charge of LeRoy Bechler and John T. Kreider; interment in Inglewood Park Cemetery.

Kinsinger, Margaret Mary, daughter of Wil-liam and Rebecca (Davis) Lawrence, was born near Fishertown, Pa., May 10, 1899; died at her home in Grantsville, Md., June 3, 1963; aged 64 y. 24 d. On Nov. 25, 1926, she was married to Roy Kinsinger, who survives. Also surviving are 2 children (Evelyn and Dale), one sister (Mrs. J. W. Clark), and one grand-son. She served faithfully as a pastor's wife as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the Casselman Church. Funeral services were held at the Springs Church, in charge of Paul Bender.

Metz, Annie Bergey, daughter of Ruben and Mary (Bergey) Gehman, was born in Fran-conia Twp., Pa., March 5, 1880; died at Har-leysville, Pa., May 7, 1963; aged 83 y. 2 m. 2 d. In 1899 she was married to Herman A. Metz, who survives. Also surviving are one son (George) and 2 foster children (Allen God-shall and Mrs. Anna Kulp). One son preceded her in death. She was a member of the Towamencin Church, where funeral services were held May 12, in charge of Ellis Mack and Harold Fly.

Mishler, Oscar N., son of John M. and Lydia (Hershberger) Mishler, was born in Howard Co., Ind., Sept. 16, 1890; died at his home, Hollsopple, Pa., May 25, 1963; aged 72 y. 8 m. 9 d. His first wife, Emma Miller, died Jan. 27, 1920. Also preceding him in death were one grandchild, 2 brothers, and one sister. On Nov. 1, 1921, he was married to Carrie Stahl, who survives. Also surviving are 3 children (Harold K., Retha R.-Mrs. J. P. Alger, and M. Pauline-Mrs. Ford R. Kreider), one step-son (Leo H. Nelson), one brother (Frank), 2 sisters (Delsie-Mrs. Earley Bontrager and Susie-Mrs. Harold Alexander), 7 grandchildren, and his stepmother (Mrs. Clarence Bon-trager). He was a member of the Blough Church, and in recent years was active in the Mennonite Mission at Seanor. Services were held at the Blough Church, May 28, in charge of Harry C. Blough and Clayton Shetler.

Neff, Rosa C., was born near Garden City, Mo., Nov. 19, 1890; died at the Tolfree Me-morial Hospital, West Branch, Mich., May 22, 1963; aged 72 y. 6 m. 3 d. On April 7, 1912, she was married to Henry Neff, who preceded her in death. Surviving are 2 daughters (Mrs. Clara Martin and Mrs. Mae Marie Belinsky), 5 sons (Carl, Elmer, John, Rolla, and Curtis), 2 brothers (Ed and Joe), one sister (Martha), and 17 grandchildren. One son also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Fairview Church, where funeral services were held, in charge of Harvey Handrich and M. S. Steiner.

Nyman, Katie E., daughter of Isaac and Mary (Lambert) Scheaffer, was born at Blue Marsh, Pa., Nov. 4, 1877; died at the Pottstown (Pa.) Memorial Hospital, May 12, 1963; aged 85 y. 6 m. 8 d. On June 26, 1898, she was married to Charles W. Nyman, who died May 14, 1948. Surviving are one daughter (Katherine-Mrs. Samuel Aurand), 2 sons (C. Duer and Paul A.), 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one sister (Mrs. Mary Sell). She was a member of the Boyertown Church, where funeral services were held May 15, in charge of Paul D. Yoder and Winfield M. Ruth; interment in Fairview Cemetery.

Richer, Henry H., son of Christ and Kath-erine (Lugbill) Richer, was born in Daviess Co., Ind., Sept. 29, 1883; died at his home, Wauseon, Ohio, March 14, 1963; aged 79 y. 5 m. 14 d. On March 19, 1908, he was married to Mary Aeschliman, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter and 2 sons (Florence-Mrs. Kenneth Aeschliman, Walter, and Wil-lard), 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one brother (Samuel). Two sons, one brother, one sister, 3 half brothers, and 4 half sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the North Clinton Church. Funeral services were in charge of Olen Nofziger, Dan Sommers, and E. B. Frey; interment in Pettis-ville Cemetery.

Ross, Henry David, son of Walter and Fannie (Good) Ross, was born at Elida, Ohio, March 23, 1901; died at his home, Columbiana, Ohio, May 22, 1963; aged 62 y. 1 m. 29 d. On July 14, 1923, he was married to Naomi Brene-man, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter (Carolyn-Mrs. Richard Beck), one son (Robert R.), 7 grandchildren, one sister (Mrs. Raymond Heatwole), and 4 brothers (Burdette, Adam, Rolland, and Richard). Be-sides serving in many ways in the several churches where he was a member as he lived in different communities, he was also active as a Gideon and as a member of the Christian Business Men's Committee. He was a member of the Midway Church. Funeral services were held at the Seederly-Beilhart Funeral Home, in charge of Ernest Martin, assisted by Paul Yoder.

Roth, Clarence Junior, son of Katie and the late Clarence C. Roth, was born in Seward Co., Nebr., Nov. 13, 1932; died of injuries received in a two car accident at Unionville, Mo., May 30, 1963; aged 30 y. 6 m. 17 d. On June 22, 1952, he was married to Carol Wolk who survives. Also surviving are 4 children (Gary, Cohen, LaMount, and Marda), his mother, and 4 brothers (Daniel, Roger, Loren, and Mervin). Since 1957 he and his family lived near Fairfield, Iowa. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Church, Wayland, Iowa, where funeral services were held June 2, in charge of Vernon S. Gerig and Vernon E. Roth.

Runkles, Lola, daughter of Oliver and Kate Stallings, was born near Mt. Airy, Md., July 9, 1890; died May 23, 1963; aged 72 y. 10 m. 14 d. She was married to Joseph Runkles, who preceded her in death. Surviving are 5 sons and 2 daughters (Francis, Charles L., Norman F., James E., Albert L., Mrs. Sarah Underwood, and Mrs. Emma Fleming), 23 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Mt. Airy Church. Funeral services were held at the Molesworth Funeral Home, in charge of Ivan Martin.

Rupp, Jacob H., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rupp, was born May 8, 1886; died after a long illness at the Detwiler Memorial Hos-pital, May 11, 1963; aged 77 y. 3 d. On Feb. 18, 1909, he was married to Elizabeth Vonier, who survives. They spent over 54 years of their active lives together in the Pettisville area. Surviving also are 4 sons and 3 daughters (Wilmer, Claude, Ray W., Delmar, Meredith-Mrs. William Yeager, Betty-Mrs. Joseph Allerding, and Marthella - Mrs. John Graf), 28 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one sister (Mrs. Aaron Frey), and one brother (Harvey B.). He was a member of the Men-nonite Church from his youth, and the founder of the Rupp Lumber Co., Pettisville. Funeral services were held at the North Clinton Church, in charge of Olen Nofziger and E. B. Frey; burial in Pettisville Cemetery.

Schrock, Emmanuel, son of Andrew and Barbara (Bachman) Schrock, was born at Metamora, Ill., Oct. 28, 1888; died at Washburn, Ill., May 22, 1963; aged 74 y. 6 m. 24 d. On Dec. 1, 1910, he was married to Anna Garber, who survives. Also surviving are 4 children (Alvin, Ruth Beschorner, Francis Yoder, and Eunice Miller), 12 grandchildren, and 6 broth-ers and sisters (William, Elizabeth, Daniel, David, Andrew, and Katherine). One son and one brother preceded him in death. He was a member of the Metamora Church, where fu-neral services were held May 25, in charge of Roy Bucher and Joseph Atherton; interment in Stewart Harmony Cemetery.

Snyder, William H., son of John and Louisa (Selzer) Snyder, was born in Holmes Co., Ohio, Sept. 16, 1881; died after surgery at Iowa City, Iowa, May 20, 1963; aged 81 y. 8 m. 4 d. On Jan. 9, 1911, he was married to Clara Bender, who survives. Also surviving are 12 children (Andrew, Delbert, William, Paul, Ver-ton, John, Magdalene-Mrs. R. A. Boudreaux, Nellie-Mrs. Kenneth Vitosh, Arvilla-Mrs. Floyd Zook, Darlene-Mrs. Merle Peer, Ruby-Mrs. Leo Greazel, and Lucille), 41 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one brother (John). One son preceded him in death. He was a member of the East Union Church, where funeral services were held May 22, in charge of J. John J. Miller and Wilbur Nachti-gall.

Stahl, John Henry, son of John and Eliza Stahl, was born near Freeport, Mich., May 18, 1889; died at his home near Clarksville, Mich., Apri1 15, 1963; aged 73 y. 10 m. 28 d. On May 10, 1913, he was married to Gertrude L. Heffelbower, who survives. Also surviving are four children (Marvin, Melvon, Mary-Mrs. Melvin Martin, and Adeline-Mrs. Merle Schlonege-r), 13 grandchildren, 2 foster grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers (Alvin, Ray, Floyd, and George), and one sister (Naomi Miller). He was a member of the Bowne Church, where funeral services were held April 18, in charge of T. E. Schrock and Daniel Zook.

Stutzman, Merlin Dean, son of Wes and Ida (Kennel) Stutzman was born at Milford, Nebr., Nov. 22, 1924; died of a disease of the liver at his home in Lincoln, Nebr., May 10, 1963; aged 38 y. 5 m. 18 d. On Nov. 22, 1945, he was married to Arlene Roth, who survives. Also surviving are 2 children (Gary Lee and Mavis Jean), his parents, one brother (Cleve), and 3 sisters (Demaris-Mrs. Robert Kremer, Jean-Mrs. Ervin Stutzman, and Veryl-Mrs. Dennis Stutzman). He was a member of the Beth-El Church, Milford. Services were held at Milford, May 12, in charge of Warren Eicher and T. O. McWilliams; interment in Blue Mount Cemetery.

Swartz, Lydia, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Yoder) Stoll, was born in Daviess Co., Ind., June 6, 1880; died at the Daviess County Hos-pital, March 14, 1963; aged 82 y. 9 m. 8 d. On Sept. 2, 1897, she was married to Jacob Swartz, who preceded her in death. Surviving are 9 children (Mrs. Louis Swartzentruber, Mrs. Harry Stoll, Henry, Peter, Mrs. John McCrary, Mrs. Chas. Summers, Alvin, Roy, and Mrs. Noble Harding), 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and one brother (Peter J.). Two children preceded her in death. She was a member of the Berea Church, where funeral services were held March 17, in charge of David Graber.
