Mast, Eloise (Bauman)
April 23, 1931 - December 14, 2025
Eloise (Bauman) Mast, 94, of Milford, passed on the morning of December 14,
2025, at 1:49 am, very peacefully, at Waterford Crossing in Goshen, Indiana,
where she had been a resident for the past two years. Eloise was born on
April 23, 1931 to Guy Eugene and Anna (Leichty) Bauman, in Fort Wayne,
Indiana, growing up in the Grabill and Leo areas.
Then at the young age of 18, she married the love of her life, Lester J.
Mast, on January 22, 1950. They were married for 68 years until his passing
in 2018. Her and Lester lived on a small farm west of Milford. This is where
they raised their four sons.
Eloise worked outside the home for over 25 years at Da-Lite Screen in Warsaw
in assembly. Upon retirement, she enjoyed her yard, front porch, camping,
and traveling. Her main priority was being a homemaker. The joy of her life
was her grandchildren. Their calls and visits made her day. It was the small
things that meant the most to her and filled her heart with great joy. Then
along came great grandchildren which were the apple of her eye. She loved so
deeply and always was concerned about them and what they were up to. She has
had the privilege of watching them grow. Some are adults now and others are
still working on it. She was very proud of each and every one of them and
she will continue to watch over them.
Eloise is survived by her four sons: Larry (Deb) Mast of Milford, Mike
(Terri) Mast of Goshen, Tom (Janie) Mast of Auburn, and Gary (Linda) Mast of
Warsaw, her grandchildren: Matthew (Jennifer) Mast, Scott (Denee`) Mast,
Stephanie (Mike) Lane, Angela (Chris) Bruszewski, Abbie (Tyler) DeLaMater,
Ashlie Mast, Jason (Danica) Mast, Meagan Mast, her great grandchildren:
Desiree (Kingley) Kantande, Logan Mast, Madilyn Lane, Connor Lane, Brianna
Bruszewski, Leighton Bruszewski, Grantham DeLaMater, Jonathan DeLaMater,
Jackson Mast, Emmalyn Mast, her great great grandchildren: Bomani Kantande,
Delsin Kantande, Tujaliwe Kantande, one sister-in-law, Barb Mast of Goshen,
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters: Mary
Jane King, Ilene Miller, and Elanore Yoder, six brothers-in-law, and two
sisters-in-law, and a grandson, Ryan Mast in 2024.
Her memory will linger on through the stories shared by her family and
friends.
A Gathering to honor Eloise's life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025
from 10-1:00 pm at Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Milford,
with services following at 1:00 pm with Neil Olson officiating. Burial will
