On April 1st., in Somerset County, Pa., Margaret, consort of Jacob Sumy, aged 59 years, 11 months and 24 days. Her disease was Cholera Morbus, from which she suffered severe pains during nine days. She leaves a husband and thirteen children to mourn her loss. She was buried on Sunday following April 3d. A large concourse of people were present. Funeral sermon was preached by the writer from Matthew 24:42. H. H. BAUCH.

In Philadelphia, Pa., on April 8th, after a lingering illness, Edward, son of John and Esther Frick, aged 2 years.

Weep not! for Edward is not dead,
But on his Saviours breast
Has gently laid his infant head,
And sweetly sunk to rest.

Weep not for Edward! he will rise
At the great judgment day,
When Christ, descending from the skies,
Awakes his sleeping clay.

Weep not for Edward! but prepare
To join his song above
Where saints and angels form the choir,
And every note is love.

On April 6th, at his residence in Lancaster County, Joseph Leaman, aged 72 years, 7 months and 28 days.

Dearest father; thou art sleeping;
In the narrow house of gloom;
Heedest not thy children weeping
Round thy sad and silent tomb.

Yet, ah! wherefore should we mourn thee?
Thou art happy now above;
Angel guards have come and borne thee,
'Mid the scenes of deathless love.

Thou art happy now, and round thee
Are the spirits of the blest;
They that here in love once bound thee,
Welcome thee to heavenly rest.

Thou art blest, no longer weeping,
Thou hast sought thy home of love;
Though thy dust in dust is sleeping,
Thou art hymning songs above.
