May 5th, in Mount Joy, Lancaster Co., Pa., Mary, wife of Chr. Grube, aged 62 years, 4 months and 4 days. Funeral on the 8 th. Text, Psalm 39:5,5.

May 13 th, near Salunga, Lancaster Co., Pa., Anna Hornberger, aged 8months, 8days. Funeral on the 15 th, Text, Acts 17:30, 31.

May 13 th., near Junction, Lancaster Co., Pa., David S., son of Bro. Chr. and Sister Fanny Gingrich., aged 21 years, 5 months and 29 days. Funeral on the 16 th. Text: Psalm 103:15-18. Brethren John B. and John L. Landis officiated. A large number of friends and assembled to pat the last tribute of respect to the deceased. A loud call to the young.

May 31 st, near Landisville, Lancaster Co., Pa., Sister Eliza Kline, aged 83 years, 2 months and 4 days. Funeral on the 2 nd of June. Text: 1 Chron. 29:15. Peace to her ashes.

June 2 nd , in Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., Pa., Sister Anna Leicht, aged 15 years, 3 mos. and 15 days. Funeral on the 5 th. Text: Phil 1:21. A large number of friends and acquaintances assembled to pay the last tribute of respect. Though the deceased sister was young, yet she fully embraced Jesus by faith and died assured that her Redeemer liveth.

June 14 th, near Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., Pa., of lock-jaw, Abraham Gish, aged 50 years, 7 months, 11 days. Funeral on the 17 th. Text: Heb. 9:27,28.

June 17 th, near Landisville, Lancaster Co., Pa., Ella, infant child of John E. Hostetter, aged 10 months and 18 days. Funeral on the 20 th. Text, Gal 3:26.

June 24 th, near Peter Horst's mills, Lancaster Co., Pa., Hannah Wickel, widow, in her 75 th year. Funeral on the 26 th. Text: 119 Psalm, 96.

June 25 th, near Newton, Lancaster Co., Pa., Sister Catharine Witmer, aged 43 years. Funeral on the 27 th. Text: John 5:24.

July 11 th, near Landisville, Lancaster Co., Pa., Emma, daughter of Wm. and --- Bowers, aged 3 years, 2 months and 8 days. Funeral on 13 th. Text: Psalm 16:6.

July 13 th, in Lancaster City, of paralysis, Bishop John Moseman, aged 81 years, 2 mos., and 26 days. Funeral the 16 th. Text: Ezek. 3:17-19. A large concourse of people assembled to pay the last tribute of respect to his remains. Bro. Moseman was born in Baden, Germany, ordained to the ministry in 1822, and to the office of bishop in 1825. Emigrated to America in 1853 and served the church at Muddy Creek. In the evening of life he retired to Lancaster City, where he died. Peace to his ashes.

July 16 th, near Rohrerstown, Lancaster Co., Pa., Sister Susan Brubacher, aged 61 years, 9 months and 2 days. Funeral on the 19 th. Text: Psalm 90:82. One of her daughters will be buried on the 20 th.

July 26 th, near Lancaster City, Pa., Minerva M. Brenneman, aged 10 months, 11 days. Funeral on 28 th. Text: Heb. 4:7.

March 18 th, in Berlin, Canada, of typhoid fever, Susanna, daughter of Henry Brubaker, aged 20 years, 7 months and 17 days.

April 8 th, in Waterloo Co., Ont., of the infirmities of age, Bro. Jacob Clemmens, at the advanced age of 88 years and one month.

April 16 th, of the same place, wife of Bro. Moses Weber, aged 26 years 11 months and 1 day. Her babe died two days before her.

April 23 rd, of the same place, Leah, widow of David Schneider, (who died 4 months previous), aged 71 years, 10 months and 18 days.

May 20 th, at the home of her parents in St. Jacobs, Anna, wife of F. Schwalm, aged 33 years, 7 months and 3 days.

July 21 st, in Waterloo co., Ont., Bro. Jacob Martin, aged 46 years, 2 months and 29 days. He was painting 18 miles from home. He complained of indisposition in the morning, and died in the afternoon at 4. He leaves a wife and 7 children.

July 25, same place, of typhoid fever, --- wife of Benjamin Eby, aged 45 years, 9 mos. and 27 days.

July 26 th, same place, of typhoid fever, Veronica, daughter of Benjamin Eby, aged 22 years and 3 months.

July 23 rd, same place, Sister Elizabeth Scherrick, widow, aged 73 years, 4 months.

July 23 rd, same place, of various diseases, Sister Rebecca Martin, wife of deacon David Martin, aged 61 years, 8 months and 20 days.

July 27 th, in Waterloo, of dropsy, Susanna Koehler, aged 47 years, 4 months and 5 days.

July 27 th, same place, of fever, ---, son of Frederic Brand, aged 15 years.

Aug 10 th, near Orrville, Wayne Co., Ohio, of heart disease, David Martin, aged 73 years, 3 months and 12 days. Funeral sermon by Jacob Kilmer in English and John K. Yoder in German, from 2 Tim 4: 7,8.

July 27 th, in Waterloo Co., Ont., of paralysis, Sister Veronica Biehn, aged 86 years, 8 months and 13 days.

July 28 th, in same place, of great suffering from cancer, Sister Mary Ann Schumacher, aged 51 years, 8 months and 13 days.

Aug 2 nd, in Berlin, Ont., of the infirmities of age and consumption, Bro. ---- Richert, aged 86 years, 3 months and 2 days. He selected the text Job 16:22 and 18:1.

Aug 8 th, in Waterloo Co., Ont., Bro. Noah Schantz, aged 57 years and 6 months. He was removing a wall, when a portion of it fell upon him, and broke both legs, three ribs, and crushed in body considerably; although suffering excrutiating pain, he survived 5 hours. He leaves a wife and 9 children to mourn their loss.

April 14 th, in Livingston Co., Ill., Sister Anna Roth, aged 17 years, 7 months and 23 days. Her remains were interred the 15 th, at which time many assembled to pay the last tribute of respect. She was a member of the Amish Mennonite church. During her sickness she said that she was making a journey to a great city. We hope she is now rejoicing in that great city whose builder and maker is God. Funeral services conducted by Joseph Gascho, Christian Schlagel and John P. Schmitt.

June 16 th, in Livingston Co., Ill, of croup, Martha, daughter of David and Catherine Stalter, aged 1 year and 6 months. Buried the 17 th. Services by Joseph Gascho, Christian Schlagel and J. P. Schmitt.

July 30 th, in Livingston Co., Ill., of diarhoea* and whooping cough , Frany, daughter of John and Magdalena King, lately from Butler county, Ohio, aged 1 year 10 months and 16 days. Impressive remarks were made by Chr. Schlagel and J. P. Schmitt.

Aug 6 th, in ---- Co., Ill., of cholera infantum, Susanna, daughter of Jacob and Catherine Sutter, aged 5 months and 18 days. Funeral services by Christian Schlegel and J. P. Schmitt.

June 2 nd, in Hilltown, Bucks Co., Pa., of consumption, Charles T. Shattinger, aged 25 years, 11 months and 17 days. Buried the 4 th in the Deep Run burying-ground. Sermon by I. Overholt and I. Moyer.

July 14 th, in Elkhart Co., Ind., of the infirmities of age, Martin Stauffer, aged 74 years, 4 months and 25 days. He was formerly from West Earl, Lancaster Co., Pa.

July 25 th, in East Earl, Lancaster Co., Pa., Daniel Weidman, aged 85 years, 8 months and 7 days.

July 30 th, in East Lampeter, Lancaster Co., Pa., John G. Kindig, aged 70 years, 10 months and 10 days. Interred in the Strasburg burying-ground in the presence of many relatives and friends, on which occasion impressive remarks were made by John L. Landis from Luke 4:16-19.

July 18 th, in Upper Salford township, Montgomery Co., Pa., after a long illness, of palsy, Minnie, wife of Jacob Cassel, aged 76 years, 1 month and 24 days. Buries at Salford Men. Meeting-house.

On the 29 th of July, in Franconia township, Montmomery Co., Pa., of disease of the kidneys, Joseph Freed, aged 73 years, 1 month and 11 days. Buried at Franconia Men. Meeting-house. Services by Josiah Clemmer and Jacob Loux.

On the 11 th of July, in Bedminster township, Bucks Co., Pa., of bilious colic, of which he suffered two days, Joseph Moyer, aged 44 years, 8 months and 1 day. He was married to Anna Kratz with whom he lived 22 years, and was the father of six children.

On the 22 nd of July in Bedminster township, Bucks Co., Pa., John High, aged 62 years and 11 months. He was born in 1813, in later years married Veronica Fretz, with whom he lived 37 years and had three children, of whom the oldest daughter died some 14 years ago.

Jult 24 th , in Bedminster, Bucks Co., Pa., Barbara, daughter of Jacob Leatherman, aged about 9 years. Buried at Deep Run burying-ground. Services by Samuel Godshalk and Issac Moyer.

Aug 5 th, in Elkhart Co., Ind., Sister Magdalena Blyly, maiden name Stahley, aged 33 years, 11 months and 7 days. She leaves a husband and 3 children to mourn their loss. Funeral services by Jonathan Smucker, from 1 Peter 1:24,25; further remarks were made by Isaac Smucker, M.E. Krieder and D. Wysong.

Aug 6 th, in Hancock Co., Ohio, of spinal disease, Henry, son of Joel and Christina Baumgartner, aged 1 year, 3 months and 6 days. Services by Abr. Steiner and C. B. Brenneman.

Aug 11 th, in Allen Co., Ohio, of palsy, Sister Nancy, wife of John Brenneman, aged 75 years and 11 months. She was confined to her bed nearly three years, yet bore her suffering with patience. She leaves 8 children and 39 grand-children to mourn their loss. Buried the 12 th, followed by a large concourse of relatives and friends. Services by C. Culp and C. B. Brenneman.

Aug. 6 th, near Churchtown, Lancaster Co., Pa., Bro. Martin C. Weaver, aged 71 years, 9 months and 6 days. Interred at Weaverland burying-ground. He leaves a widow and two grand-children to mourn their loss. Services by Emmanuel Newswanger and Amos Herr, from Rev. 14:12,13.

Aug. 1 st, in Plumstead, Bucks Co., Pa., of palsy, Jacob Leatherman, in his 64 th year. Buried the 3rd, in the Deep Run burying-ground, at which opportunity words of comfort were presented by Samuel Godshalk and Jarob* Loux.

Aug. 1 st, in Bedminster, Bucks Co., Pa., Sarah, daughter of Jonathan Shelly, aged 17 years, 11 months and 27 days. Services by John Allabach and Isaac Moyer.

June 15 th, in Lawrence Co., Pa., Sister Margaret Zook, wife of Christian K. Zook, aged 67 years, 10 months and 27 days. She was a faithful sister in the Amish church. Appropriate remarks were made on the funeral occasion by Jonathan Lantz.

July 25 th, in McLean Co., Ill., N. King, aged 52 years and 8 months. He leaves a wife and 3 children to mourn their loss. Buried the 28 th, at which time approprate remarks were made by Christian Rupp, P. E. and Joseph Stuckey.

July 20 th, in Cumberland Co., Pa., after a lingering illness, Abraham Weber, aged 74 years, 7 months and 17 days. Buried on Sunday the 23 rd. Many friends were present. Funeral services by Geo. Rupp and Abm. Burghart in German, Nathaniel Shope and J. M. Herr in English. Buried at Slate Hill. He was a shining light in the church militant, having a hope; he has entered the church triphant where the
"The wicked cease from troubling
And the weary are at rest."
