Also surviving are 6 daughters and one son (Martha - Mrs. Louis Costell, Dorothy - Mrs. Louis Boynton, Louella - Mrs. Roger Alexander, Kenneth, Anna Rose - Mrs. Chauncey Beck, Pauline, and Shirley, at home), 6 grandchildren, one sister (Mary - Mrs. Oscar Beck), and a large number of other relatives and friends. One son (Henry, Jr.) preceded him in death. In youth he accepted Christ as his Saviour and united with the Central Mennonite Church, of which he was a member until death. His parting words were: "Children, I am going to leave you now. I am going to heaven. Will you promise to meet me there? Good-bye." Funeral services were held at the Central Church, near Archbold, in charge of Jesse Short and P. L. Frey.
