Grieser,
Lizzie Nofziger
Lizzie Grieser, daughter of
David and Barbara Nofziger, was
born near Archbold, Ohio,
October 7, 1871, and departed this life at her home near Archbold, Ohio,
April 18, 1956, at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 11 days. On
December 2,
1894, she was united in marriage to Simon Grieser, who preceded her in
death
July 20, 1937. To this union were born seven children, four sons and
three
daughters, Elmer, Raymond. Clarence and Irene, all residing in this
vicinity.
One son and two daughters preceded her in death. In her youth she
accepted
Christ as her Savior, and united with .the Mennonite Church,
and remained faithful until the end. She was regular in her church
attendance,
and her place was seldom vacant. She was interested in the spiritual
welfare of
her family and the church.
Her departure is mourned by four children, four
grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Short and Sarah Nofziger, besides
a host
of relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, three children six
grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Rest on dear Mother your labor is o'er:
Your willing hands will toil no more;
A faithful Mother, true and kind,
No friend on earth like you we''ll find.
Card Of Thanks
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all neighbors,
friends and relatives for their flowers, cards and many acts of
kindness during
our bereavement. We wish to especially thank the ministers for their
consoling
words. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Grieser and Family, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
Grieser and
Family, Clarence and Irene Grieser.
