    Miller- Ezra J.;   Miller. Fannie Ropp;   Miller - Lena Ropp;   Miller - Mary Yoder;  

Miller- Ezra J., son of Joel and Amelia (Yoder) Miller, was born May, 10, 1896; died Apr. 5, 1971; aged 74 yr. 10 m 25 da., of a heart attack, in his home near Kalona, Iowa. He united with the O. O. Amish Church in his youth and remained faithful to the end. He was drafted into the army in World War I as a conscientious objector and endured many trials while in camp. He was married to Edna Miller Feb. 2, 1919, who survives. He is also survived by six sons and three daughters, 49 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one sister Mrs. John S. Yoder Jr. His parents and seven brothers preceded him in death. The services were held in his former home and in the home of his son Joe Jr. by the home ministers.

Miller. Fannie (Ropp) wife of David M. Miller, Riverside, Iowa, died Jan. 9, 1971, at her home at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 29 days. She had been in failing health the past year. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and married Sept. 11, 1924. She leaves besides her husband, 9 children, Christina, Harley, and Esther (Mrs. Daniel W. Miller) of Kalona, Ia., Manasse of Loogootee, Ind., William of Riverside, Raymond of Goshen, Ind., Lydia, Mary, and Ellen all at home; 20 grandchildren; 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Services were held in the home on Jan. 9, 1971, by Glen Bender and Enos C. Swartzentruber.

Miller - Lena (Ropp) Miller, daughter of Christian and Lydia (Yoder) Ropp, was born Feb. 1, 1899; and died June 8, 1971; aged 72 yr. 4 mo. 7 days. On Sept. 27, 1917, she was married to Joas Miller,who predeceased her May 12, 1966. In her youth she united with the O. O. Amish Church and remained a member until her death. She is survived by three sons and seven daughters, 38 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, five brothers and one sister. She was born and lived her entire life in the Kalona, Iowa, area. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held in the Levi Yoder home in Kalona.

Miller - Mary (Yoder) Miller was born July 4, 1888, near Yoder, Kansas, a daughter of Tobias T. and Magdalena Yoder. She died early Saturday morning June 12, 1971, at the home of her son, Tobias J. Miller, following a lingering illness of many years, at the age of 82 yr. 11 mo. and 8 days. She accepted Christ as her Saviour in her youth and united with the O. O. Amish Church. She was confined to her bed for many years, but always very cheerful.
On Dec. 8, 1908, she was united in marriage to Joni E. Miller, near Thomas, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1954. To this union two children were born, Edna (Mrs. Henry B. Miller), and Tobias, with whom she had made her home. She also leaves to mourn her departure 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, two brothers (Benedict T. Yoder of Kalona, and Mose W. Yoder, Nappanee, Ind.), and also many other friends and relatives. Funeral services were held in the home on June 15.
