RABER, Abe
A.;
RABER- Abe A., son of Abraham and
Magdalena (Miller) Raber, was born Jan. 20, 1891. Died June 28, 1973,
at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 9 days. He was married to Abigail
Miller Jan. 16, 1913. She died April 11, 1938. He was married a second
time, Jan. 23, 1941, to Mattie Beachy who survives. Also, surviving are
three sons, Levi of Route 4. Millersburg, Ohio, and Roman and Joseph of
Route 5, Millersburg, Ohio; a brother, Jonathan of Route 1, Lakeville,
Ohio,; and a sister, Mrs. Christ C. (Mattie) Yoder. Nine grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish church. Services were held at
the home on Sunday, July 1, 1973, by Min. Andrew B. Raber of
Shipshewana, Ind., Bishop Roy L. Schlabach and Bishop John Frey of the
home community. Burial was in the Raber Cemetery in Walnut Creek
township.
