Waughtel, Leroy M., Sr.
February 2, 1920 - February 2, 1975

Leroy M. Waughtel Sr., 55, of 241 Hummel St., Harrisburg, PA died Sunday 02 Feb 1975, Harrisburg Hospital after an illness of eight months. He was the husband of Martha Homsher Waughtel. A retired self-employed auto mechanic and salesman, Waughtel sold automobiles in Lancaster about six years ago. Previously he had been employed at Conestoga View.

Waughtel was a member of Charlotte Street Mennonite Church, Lancaster, PA and during World War II he served in the U. S. Army. Born 02 Feb 1920 in Hummelstown, he was a son of the late Elmer and Ida Dickel Waughtel.

Besides his widow, he is survived by six children. Shirley Ann, wife of Nicholas Sallese, Harrisburg; Leroy M. Jr., Lancaster; Edward E., Harrisburg; Peggy Lee Waughtel, Steelton; Dorothy Elizabeth and Ida Elizabeth. both at home. He also is survived by 12 grandchildren, one brother, Guy Waughtel, Harrisburg, and one sister, Margaret, wife of Richard G. White, Lancaster, PA.

He was predeceased by four infant children

YODER. - Wilma, daughter of Obie E. and Betty (Miller) Yoder, of Arthur, Ill., was born Oct. 29, 1975, and died 2 days later. She leaves to mourn, her parents and one brother, and also her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ervin J. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin J. Yoder. Services were held in the home on Nov. 1, 1975, by Bish. David J. Beachy; burial in Yoder Cemetery.
