  ROCKE, Reuben;   ROPP, Mary Gerber;   Roth, Minnie Miller;   

ROCKE.- Reuben, son of Jerry and Lena (Kaufman) Rocke, was born Dec. 6, 1963, and died May 30, 1977, at the age of 13 years, 5 months and 24 days. He leaves to mourn his early departure, 4 brothers Daniel, David, Larry and Paul, his twin sister Ruth, and also Rosanna, all at home; his grandparents, Dan and Fannie Kaufman of Arthur, Ill., and Lawrence and Helen Roche of Eureka, Ill.; 7 aunts, 2 uncles, and 52 cousins. Services were held in the home June 2, by Min. Fred J. Yoder of Milton, Iowa, Min. David D. Schrock and Bish. Edward E. Nisley of Arthur, Ill., and in a tent by Min. Alvin D. Mast of Jamesport, Mo., and Min. Alva Raber of Mont-gomery, Ind. Burial in Otto Cemetery south of Arthur, Illinois.

ROPP.- Mary (Gerber)
Ropp, daughter of the late Joseph R. and Mary (Wagler) Gerber, was born Apr. 24, 1918, in Water-loo County, Ontario, Canada, and died in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Ont., after a lingering illness of cancer. She attained the age of 58 years, 10 months and 27 days. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour and upon confession of her faith she was baptized and became a member of the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Con-gregation, remaining faithful to the end. On Oct. 3, 1940, she was united in mar-riage to Emanuel Ropp with whom she shared life's joys and sorrows for over 36 years. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Edith) Martin, Kitchener, Mrs. Paul (Irene) Hansen, Walkerton, Ontario; and one son David at home; also 3 grandchildren; and three brothers, Noah, Ezra and Emanuel all of R.R. 1, Millbank; 4 sisters, Barbara, widow of the late John J. Jantzi, Wellesley, Mrs. Amos (Nancy) Jantzi, Mrs. Dan W. (Tena) Erb of Wellesley, and Mrs. Sam N. (Katie) Jantzi of Millbank. Services were held at the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite meeting house by Melvin Jantzi and Melvin Roes. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Roth, Minnie Miller

Minnie (Miller) Roth, daughter of William and Tillie (Troyer) Miller was born near Beaver Crossing, Nebraska on July 23, 1903 and departed this life on September 19, 1977 at the home of her daughter, Faye, at the age of 74 years, one month, and 26 days. In her youth she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of West Fairview Mennonite Church, where she was faithful until the Lord called her home.

On February 11, 1923, she was united in marriage to Alvin Roth. This union was blessed with three daughters, Opal (Mrs. Leonard Lichti), Hesston, Kansas; Faye (Mrs. Lloyal Burkey) Beaver Crossing, and Donna Vogt, Hesston, Kansas.

Those who remain are her husband Alvin, her three daughters, seven brothers: Henry of Oak Harbor, Washington; Homer, Lloyd, Floyd, Leslie, Wilbur, and Lyle all of Beaver Crossing, two sisters, Laura Otto of Beaver Crossing and Wilma Dolan of McCook, Nebraska. Also 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Proceeding her in death were her parents and one sister, Clara Smetter.
