Britsch, Olen L.
Olen L. Britsch, 63, of 100 Union St., died Saturday morning at Fulton County Health Center where he was admitted Oct. 31 after suffering a heart attack.
He was born near Archbold and spent his entire lifetime in this community. He was one of the founders and owners of Bil-Jax, Inc., Archbold, which began July 1, 1947. He was the secretary-treasurer at the time of his death.
He was active in civic and religious affairs, was a member of the Fulton County Health Center Board 13 1/2 years, and vice president in 1978; served on the Board of Little Eden Camp at Onekama, Mich., and was secretary since 1955. Britsch was on the Board of MEDA, Inc. (Mennonite Economic Development Association) serving as treasurer for many years.
He was active with Central Mennonite Church and for the past 32 years served with Bancroft Mennonite Church at Toledo. He was a member of Gideons 13 years serving as president of the Fulton County Camp at present. He was a member of Archbold Community Commercial Club, and a member of other local organizations.
Survived by his wife, Irene; one son Calvin, Akron, Pa. ; one daughter, Mrs. Arlin (Maretta) Buller, Salida, Colo; three grandchildren; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Britsch; Archbo1d; and one sister Mrs. Dale (Meredith) Beck, Pettisville.
A family service was held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Short Funeral Home with burial following in the Pettisville cemetery. A Memorial service was held Monday at 3 p.m., at Central Mennonite Church, conducted by Rev. Peter Dyck, Rev. Charles
Gautsche, and Rev. Ellis Croyle.
