WAGLER. Emma;
WAGLER. Emma,
daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Erb) Brenneman, was born June 10,
1902, in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Canada, and died in her home in Lisbon,
Ont., Sept. 15, 1979, at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 4 days. In
her youth she accepted Christ and was baptized as a member of Cedar
Grove A. M. congregation, where she remained until her death. On Feb.
3, 1923, she was married to Amos Wagler, who predeceased her on May 27,
1945, leaving her a widow for over 34 years. She leaves to mourn her
departure 3 sons, Daniel of Stratford, Omer of Wellesley, and Norman of
Wellesley; also 7 daughters, Mrs. Earl (Marie) Bender, Crosshill; Mrs.
John (Vera) Dyck, Bancroft; Mrs. Elmer (Edna) Ropp, Brunner; Mrs. Roy
(Esther) Scherrer, Millbank; Mrs. Wayne (Florence) Borodula, Kamloops,
B.C.; and Eileen at home; 44 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren;
also 2 brothers, Ezra of Wellesley, Daniel of Lisbon, and 2 sisters,
Catherine, widow of the late Bishop Samuel Roth, and Bena of Lisbon.
She was predeceased by her husband, 1 brother Menno, and 1 sister in
infancy. Services were held on Sept. 18, at the Cedar Grove A. M.
church, by Bishop Arthur Gerber and Min. Melvin Jantzi. Burial in the
adjoining cemetery.
