Detweiler, Willis G.

Willis G. Detweiler; 72, of Ephrata, Lancaster County and formerly of Harleysville, died Sunday morning (1/12/1992) after being stricken while attending church.
He was the husband of Sara A. (Moyer) Detweiler. They had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last September.
Born (4/5/1919) in Plumstead Township, Bucks County, he was the son of the late Edward W. and Mary (Gross) Detweiler.
From age 16 until retirement in 1984 at age 65, he was a knitter for the former Granite Hosiery Mill, Souderton and the former Jocque Deloux, Inc., of Sellersville.
Since moving to Ephrata three and a half years ago, he attended the Faith Mennpnite Fellowship in Denver, Lancaster County. He was a member of the Lansdale Mennonite Church. Throughout his life, he served as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bi-ble School teacher and Sunday School superintendent.
He was active in gospel tract and cassette distribution and church visitation of the elderly. During the past three years he participated in the annual weeklong revival ministry in Altmore, Alabama sponsored by the We Care program.
He enjoyed doing mechanical repair and restoration work.
