Aeschliman, Luella King

            Luella King Aeschliman, 73, rural Archbold, died Friday, Aug. 28, 1998, at Harborside Healthcare, Bryan, where she resided since July 27, 1998.

            Born Feb. 9, 1925, near Leo, Ind., she was the daughter of Peter and Martha (Yoder) Liechty.  On June 2, 1946, she married Orville King, who died on Aug. 7, 1989.  On Nov. 16, 1991, she married Kenneth Aeschliman, who survives.  She lived most of her lifetime in Archbold and was a homemaker, and a member of Central Mennonite Church, Archbold.

            Also surviving are two sons, Gary (Joan) and Ron (Cathy) King, both of Archbold; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Charlene) Starry, Stryker; and Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Seiler, Pettisville; two brothers, Clifford Liechty, Leo-Grabill, Ind., and Herbert Liechty, Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Irene Miller and Mrs. Willard (Marilyn) Grieser, both of Wauseon; and six stepchildren, 11 grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren and two great-step-grandchildren.           

            Services were 3:30 p.m. Monday in Central Mennonite Church, with Dee Swartz and Wayne Pipkin as officiating pastors. Burial was in Pettisville Cemetery.

Aeschliman, Ora C.

            Ora C. Aeschliman, 74, Archbold, died Thursday morning, April 9, 1998.

            Born Aug 4, 1923, near Wauseon, he was a son of Benjamin and Mary (Conrad) Aeschliman.  He married Lillian Short on May 13, 1947, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1992.  He lived in the Fayette area for 42 years before moving to Archbold in 1989, and was a farmer in the Fayette area.  He was a charter member of the Zion Mennonite Church, Archbold.

            Surviving are one son, Mike (Heidi) Aeschliman, Archbold; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Jane) Konold, Maumee; and Mrs. Troy (Jan) Roth, Fayette; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Elton (Florence) Aeschliman, Wauseon; and Waldo (Barb) Aeschliman, Archbold; two sisters, Mrs. Ezra (Martha) Schmucker, Tangent, Ore., and Mrs. Sanford (Maxine) Thomas, Archbold.  

            Memorial services were Monday, 11 a.m., at the Zion Mennonite Church with Ron Guengerich and Dee Swartz as the officiating pastors.  Burial preceded in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Baer, Cora M.

            Cora M. Baer, 90, Archbold, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold, where she had resided since April 21, 1998.

            Born Aug. 25, 1908, near Pettisville, she was a daughter of Joseph and Katie (Schrock) Baer.  She worked at the West Liberty (Ohio) Orphan's Home and in that community.  Later she was a nurse's aide at the former Vernier Nursing Home, Archbold, and at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold.  She was involved in mission work at Meadville, Pa., and Fairpoint, Ohio.  A volunteer cherry coat at the Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon, she was also a writer for church publications from 1933 to 1945.  Her memberships included the West Clinton Mennonite Church, near Pettisville, and the Archbold Garden Club.    Surviving are a sister, Rosella Schell, Milledgeville, Ill.

            Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at the West Clinton Mennonite Church, with James Roynon, Herman Myers and Edward Diener as the officiating pastors. Burial was in Pettisville Cemetery.
