Geiser, Martha Steiner,
81, of Apple Creek, Ohio, died Oct. 7, 1998 at her home.

Surviving are four children and their spouses, Larry L. and Shirley Geiser of Orrville, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Sawysgood of Dillon, Mont., Mrs. Larry (Carolyn) Riegsecker of Goshen, Ind., and Kenneth D. Geiser of Orrville; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ella Steiner of Apple Creek, Mrs. Earl J. (Rosina) Amstutz of Orrville, Mrs. Albert (Annie) Neuenschwander and Mrs. Irvin (Idella) Snavely, both of Dalton and three brothers, Samuel, Lester, and Menno Steiner, all of Dalton.

Memorial service was Oct 12, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sonnenberg Mennonite Church near Kidron with the Revs. Raul Tadeo and Richard Ross officiating. A burial service was Oct 12, 1998 at 10 a.m. in the Maple Grove Memorial Park at the Salem Mennonite Church near Wooster.

Gerber, Loyal D.

Loyal D. Gerber, 64, Archbold, died Monday, March 23, 1998, in his home, following a battle with cancer.
    Born March 7, 1934, in Holmes County, Ohio, he was the son of Clyde and Fannie (Sommers) Gerber. He married Shirley P. Short on March 24, 1957.
    A resident of the Archbold area 41 years, he worked at Sauder Manufacturing Co., in Archbold, for 24 years, and was previously employed at Short's Cabinet Shop, Fayette; former Dinner Bell Meats, Archbold; and the former Elmira Block plant.
    He was also a part-time employee at Sauder Village, and a charter member of the Zion Mennonite Church, where he was active in the church choir.
    He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Linda Gerber, Orangeburg, S.C.; Sharon Gerber, Sugarcreek; and Mrs. Garry (Judy) Snyder, Quincy, Mich.; a verbally adopted son, Gary (Cyndi) Tubby, Louisville, Miss.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Paul (Marilyn) Hershberger, Akron, Pa.
    Memorial services are tomorrow, Thursday, 4 p.m. at Zion Mennonite Church with Ron Guengerich and Dee Swartz as the officiating pastors.
    Burial precedes the memorial in the Pettisville Cemetery.
    Friends may call in the fellowship hall of the church from 2-9 p.m. today, Wednesday.

Grieser, Chauncy E.

Chauncy E. Grieser, 80, Pedro, Ohio, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at his home.

        Born Dec. 16, 1917, in Wauseon, he was a son of Daniel and Rosa (Beck) Grieser, and married Ilva M. Nofziger on March 17, 1942.  He lived in the Lawrence county area since 1954.  He was the pastor of Wayside Chapel Mennonite Church at Pedro fro 35, years, and also a self-employed carpenter.  He worked for Habitat for Humanity in the Ironton and Ashland area, and was a member of the Wayside Chapel Mennonite Church.

        Survivors include his wife, Ilva; two sons, David (Kathleen) Grieser, Wauseon, and Dana (Sharon) Grieser, Winston-Salem, N.C.; two daughters, Hazel Shifflett, Harrisonburg, Va.; and Mrs. Jerry (Judith) Kelly, South Webster, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan (Kathryn) Grieser, Archbold, and Marvin (Estelle) Grieser, Murphey, N.C.; four sisters, Dorothy Grieser and Lucile Grieser, both of Archbold; Arlene Grieser, LaJunta, Colo.; and Doris Liechty, Archbold.

        Memorial services were Monday, 11 a.m. at the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Marvin Grieser, Robert Schloneger, and Lester Roth, the officiating pastor.  Burial preceded the service in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Grieser, Dale E.

 Dale E. Grieser, 72, Archbold, died Tuesday, Aug 4, 1998, in his home from multiple myeloma.

        Born June 7, 1926, near Wauseon, he was a son of Daniel and Rosa (Beck) Grieser, and married Dorothy Burkholder on April 9, 1950.  A lifelong resident of the Wauseon/Archbold area, he worked at Wauseon Woodworking for 18 years, and in 1965 he started Grieser construction which he operated until his health began to fail.  He was a member of the West Clinton Mennonite Church, near Pettisville,

         Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; four daughters, Mrs. John Chipka (Kathleen) Grieser, Cleveland; Mrs. Charles (Cynthia) Williams, Trenton, Mich.; Barbara Grieser, San Jose, Calif., and Sara Grieser, Woodruff, S.C.; one son, D. Jonathon (Corrie) Grieser, Sewanee, Tenn.; two grandson; three brothers, Chauncey (Ilva) Grieser, Pedro; Ivan (Kathryn) Grieser, Archbold; and Marvin, (Estelle) Grieser, Murphy, N.C.; four sisters, Dorothy Grieser and Lucile Grieser, both of Archbold, Arlene Grieser, LaJunta, Colo.; and Doris Liechty, Archbold.

        Memorial services were Sunday, 3 p.m., West Clinton Mennonite Church with James Roynon, Marvin Grieser., D. Jonathan Grieser, and Edward Diener as the officiating pastors.  He donated his body to Medical College of Ohio Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology for research or medical education.
