Donald V.
Donald V. Beck, 79, Archbold, died Monday, July 3, 2000, in
his home after an extended illness. Prior to his retirement he had
worked as a
farm machinery meechanic at Rich Tractor Sales.
Born in Henry County, Ohio, on Oct. 14, 1920, he was a son
of Edward and Anna (Yoder) Beck. He married Berneda Short, and she
survives. He
was a member of the Lockport
Mennonite Church
near Stryker.
Surviving besides his wife, Berneda, is one son Rex Beck,
Archhbold; one daughter, Dianne M. Roth, Archbold; three
grandchilldren; four
great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Maurice Beck, Archhbold; and
Herbert
Beck, Laguana Hills,
Calif.
A memorial service was held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Lockport Mennonite Church.
Allen G. Rutter was the. officiating pastor. Burial was in the Lockport Cemetery.

Mary E. Ensman
Mary E. Beck, 77, Ridgeville Comers, died Thursday, Oct. 12,
2000, in her home.
Born Dec. 5, 1922, in Putnam
County,
she was a daughter of George and Mary (Werner) Ensman. In
1941, she married Joseph Beck, who died in
1988. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic
Church, Defiance.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Jr., Ridgeville Comers and
Richhard, Defiance; two daughters, Mrs.
Gary
(Mary) Leibrock, Jonesboro, Ark.,
and Mrs. Ronnie (Cecelia) Zimmerman, Marysville,
Wash.; a sister, Bernadine Light, Colonial Heights, Va.;
and 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. David Tscherne
was the officiating pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.
