Survivors: Sister, Emma B. Landis of Lancaster, Pa.; and a brother,
Ira B. (Ruth M. Weaver) Landis of Manheim, Pa.
Preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Jacob & John.
Miss Landis was a registered nurse and served as a nurse-midwife
for Eastern Mennonite Missions from 1949-1996 in Tanzania. She
also raised several African children while serving.
She was a graduate of Manhiem Twp. High School in Lancaster, Pa.
and Eastern Mennonite College. She received her RN degree from
Women's Hospital of Philadelphia.
She was a member of Landis Valley Mennonite Church.
Services: Landis Valley Mennonite Church, 2420 Kissel Hill Road,
Lancaster,
Pa. on Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Horst,
the
Rev. A. Richard Weaver, and the Rev. Don Jacobs officiating.
Interment in
the adjoining cemetery.

Preceded in death by a sister Rachel, a stepsister, Sarah Huyard; and a
