died March 16, 2005 at Landis Homes, Lititz, PA. She was born in Manor
Township, Lancaster Co., PA to John C. and Anna M. Hess Forry. She was
the wife of the late Raymond E. Landis who died in June of 2002.
She was a member of Ephrata Mennonite Church, Ephrata, PA
Surviving are daughters, Esther Mae & Calvin Kurtz, Elverson, PA;
Lois Elaine & John Shenk, Lancaster, PA; and sons, John Ray Landis,
Lancaster, PA, and Dean & Deborah Landis, York, PA; 12
Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ruth
Forry, Philadelphia, PA
She was preceded in death by brothers, Jonas Forry, Abram Forry and
John Forry.
Funeral services were held March 28, 2005 at the Ephrata Mennonite
Church, 510 Stevens Road, Ephrata, PA with Pastor Jeff High officiating
with burial in Metzler's Mennonite Cemetery, West Earl Twp., Ephrata, PA

Faith Miriam, 66, of
Lititz, Lancaster CO, PA died November 6, 2005 at Lititz, Lancaster, PA
of complications from diabetes. She was born March 24, 1939 at
Lititz, Lancaster, PA to Ira D. & Mabel (Book) Landis.
The funeral was held November 10, 2005 at Landis Homes, Lancaster Co.,
PA with burial in the Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster Co.,
PA.
She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Landis, Ralph C., 68, of
Wadsworth, Medina, OH died August
11,
2005 at Medina, Medina Co., OH of Alzheimer’s disease. He
was born August 18, 1936 at Lancaster, PA to Clarence & Marjorie
(Rohrer) Landis, who are deceased. On January 18, 1958 he was
married to Shirley A. Veney, who survives.
Surviving are children, Diann (Ray) King, Joyce (Douglas) Byler, Brian
Landis, and 5 grandchildren.
The funeral was held August 15, 2005 at Bethel Mennonite, Rittman,
Wayne Co., OH with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Rittman, Medina Co.,
OH.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Lawrence-Janzen,
Iva Bauman,
86, of Mountain, MN died September
21, 2005 at Mountain Lake, MN of. She was born October 30, 1918
at Sibley, IA to Carl & Ida (Nachtigal) Bauman.
On June 10, 1936 she was married to Raymond Russell Lawrence who died
on December 18, 1988. On November 7, 1981 she was married to John
Janzen, who survives.
Surviving are children, Beverly June (Ben) Taylor Middleton; Raedelle
Jeanne (Scott)
Lawrence-Wallace; Ronald James (Karen) Lawrence; Jack (Margaret)
Janzen; Deborah Janzen (Terry Shoptaugh); and Jerry (Robin) Janzen; 9
grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister, Eva Faye Mishler.
Predeceased by grandson, David Lawrence Wallace.
The funeral was held September 24, 2005 at First Mennonite Church,
Mountain, MN with burial in Memory Gardens, Worthington, MN.

Lehman, Dorothy Burner, 84, of
Bluffton, OH died April 8,
2005 at
Toledo, OH. She was born October 2, 1920 at Blanchard
Twp.,Hancock Co., OH to Floyd & Bessie (Wittenmyer) Burner.
On June 24, 1945 she was married to Leland C. Lehman, who survives.
Surviving are children, Stephen Lehman, Philadelphia,Pa; Barbara (Ed)
Boldt, Reedley, CA; Cynthia (David) Linscheid, Newton, KS; and 4
grandchildren.
Predeceased by siblings: Harry Burner, Ralph Burner, Ray Burner, Howard
Burner, Lois Burner Light, and Ruth Collert.
The funeral was held April 13, 2005 at First Mennonite Church,
Bluffton, Allen Co., OH with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton,
Allen Co., OH.
She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Lehman,
Vesta Metzler, 85, of
Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died October 25,
2005 of heart failure. She was born April 8, 1920 at Wakarusa,
Elkhart Co., IN to Forest & Vera (Holdeman) Metzler.
On September 1, 1940 she was married to Verl O. Lehman, who survives.
Surviving are children, Larry Lehman, Jean Moyer, Carol Lehman Kampen,
Ruth Ann Yoder, and David Lehman; 12 grandchildren, and 15
great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held October 28, 2005 at Berkey Avenue Mennonite
Fellowship, Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN with burial in the Yellow Creek
Brick Cemetery, Elkhart Co., IN.
She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Leichty,
James Herman, 70, of
Wayland, Iowa died July 5, 2005 at
Washington, Iowa of an infection. He was born May 4, 1935 at
Wayland, Iowa to Herman & Florence (Christner) Leichty.
On June 4, 1955 he was marrried to Dorothy Schrock, who survives.
Surviving are children Joyce Schrock and husband Norman, Loran Leichty
and wife Chris, Janice Hostetler and husband Lynn, Brenda Roth and
husband Tom, Barbara Jones and husband Ron, Edward Leichty and wife Amy
and 12 grandchildren.
Predeceased by siblings: Vernon Leichty and wife Karen, Clarence
Leichty and wife Julie, Ronald Leichty and wife Karen, Leland Leichty
and wife Esther, Alice Roth and husband Mel, and Jeanene Roth.
The funeral was held July 8, 2005 at the Bethel Church, Wayland, Iowa
with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Long, Esther Mae Eby, 91, of Goshen, IN died November 20, 2005,
at Americare of Goshen. She was born November 30, 1913, in Litiz,
PA, to Elias and Anna (Yake) Eby. On April 3, 1964, she married
C. Warren Long. He died January 22, 1969. On June 23, 1979,
she married Raymond Long. He died September 22, 1987.
She was a member of College Church. From 1932 to 1945 she worked with
abused children in Philadelphia and worked as a Nanny for wealthy
families, including the DuPonts. Mrs. Long established the Goshen
College kindergarten in 1959 and taught there until 1962. She
then established and taught in a kindergarten in Tiskilwa, Illinois
from 1964 to 1980. She also served as a volunteer for MCC in Belgium
and France in children's homes.
Survived by a stepdaughter, Thelma Long Gibson of Goshen, IN a stepson,
William R. (Rosealene) Long of Middlebury, IN, eight grandchildren, 16
great-grandchidlren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer Eby, a sister, Janet Eby Miller
and a stepdaughter, Althea Albright.
A memorial service was December 10, 2005 at the College Mennonite
Church. Pastor Klaudia Smucker of College Mennonite Church will
officiate. Burial was in the Willow Springs Mennonite Church Cemetery,
Tiskilwa, Illinois.
