heart
failure. She was born February 20, 1914 at Flanagan, IL to Paul
& Edith (Urban) Ummel.
On February 20, 1936 she was married to Wayne Erb Raber, who is
deceased.
Surviving are children, William, Ronald, and Merlyn; 7 grandchildren,
and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held September 27, 2005 at Meadows Mennonite Church,
Chenoa, IL
with burial in Waldo Township Cemetary, Livingston Co., IL.
She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Riegsecker,
Nancy Jane Short, 70, Upland, Calif.,
died
Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at the Anderson
Cancer Center,
University of Texas,
Houston.
Born April 15, 1935, in Archbold, she
was a daughter of Jesse and Lucille (Lantz) Short.
On June 4, 1954, she married Marlin
Riegsecker, who survives.
A 1953 graduate of Archbold High
School, she earned an undergraduate degree at Pitzer College, Clarmont,
Calif.,
and did graduate work at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasedena, Calif. She was a member of the Messiah College Board
of Trustees, Grantham, Pa., Ten Thousand Villages board (an
international fair
trade organization); other corporate and non-profit boards; and Peace
Mennonite/Brethren in Christ Church, Clarmont.
She and her husband traveled world-wide offering consultation
services
for Mennonite Economic Development Association (MEDA).
Additional survivors include her
mother, Lucille, Archbold; a daughter, Mrs. Phil (Laura) Stephenson;
three
sons, Timothy Riegsecker, Jeff, (Michelle) Riegsecker, and Joel
(Cynthia)
Riegsecker; seven grandchildren; a sister, Linda Rychener, Glendale, Ariz.,
and two brothers, James Short and Greg Short, Archbold.
Services were Saturday, Sept. 17, at
Upland Brethren in Christ
Church. David Augsburger was the officiating
pastor.

Rittenhouse,
Henry L., 78, of
Souderton, Pennsylvania died August 12,
2005 at Grand View hospital. He was born to Harvey & Mary
(Lapp) Rittenhouse.
He was married to Beulah Hendricks, who survives.
Also survived by three sons, Dennis and his wife, Mary, of
Bowmansville; Dale of Schwenksville; and Dean and his wife, Beth,
of Green Lane and 8 grandchildren.
A son, Donald is deceased.
Surviving siblings are a brother, Lester and his wife, Rhoda, of
Earlington; and a sister, Mary
Schwartzendruber and her husband, Hubert, of Telford.
The funeral was held August 16, 2005 at Rocky Ridge Mennonite Church,
Quakertown, PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Rodgers, Daniel D., 22 of
Elkhart, IN died September 16,
2005. He
was born August 28, 1983 to Dwight & Kathryn (Weckerle)
Rodgers.
Surviving are his parents and a sister, Emily Rodgers, Pittsburgh PA.
The funeral was held September 23, 2005 at Associated Mennonite
Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, IN with burial in Prairie Street Cemetery,
Elkhart, IN.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Rogers,
Gabriella Rose, 14,
died September 3, 2005 peacefully in her
sleep. She was born to Darrell & Rena (Rogers) Martin, who
survive.
Also surviving are two sisters, Callie Rogers Martin and Geneva Rogers
Martin.
The funeral was held September 4, 2005 at Nokomis Church, Minneapolis,
Minnesota with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Roth,
Thomas L., 60, of
Archbold, Fulton Co., Ohio died November 22,
2005 of cancer. He was to Glen & Wilma (Stamm) Roth. He
was married to Sally Short, who survives.
Surviving are children, Corey Roth, Carrie Kruse, and Christian Roth.
The funeral was held November 26, 2005 at Lockport MennoniteChurch,
Stryker, Williams Co., Ohio with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Rowe, Jewel Ivel Eby
Of Fairview Mennonite, Cambridge, Jewel died on Wednesday, April 20,
2005, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, after a battle with cancer. Jewel
was predeceased by her first husband, Stewart Ivel in 1971, second
husband Pearson Eby in 1992, son Eric Ivel in 1996, brothers Harry and
Nile Shantz; sister-in-law Althea Shantz and her parents Della
(Cressman) and Abiah Shantz. Survived by her loving husband Purvis
Rowe; step-children Art and Carol Eby, Al and Karen Eby, Don and Mary
Rowe and Jim and Lillian Rowe. She is also survived by Judy Stewart;
six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren
and six step-great-grandchildren. Jewel will he remembered by her
brother Cameron Shantz and wife Marjorie and sister-in-law Wilma Shantz
and several nieces and nephews. Jewel was born in Plattsville, Ontario
and worked in the offices of MacDonald Electric, Fairway Lumber
and Ornamental Moulding, until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed
volunteering and knitting. She was a
member of Preston Mennonite Church, Cambridge. Friends are invited to
share their memories of Jewel with her family at the Edward R. Good
Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, today (Saturday) from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Jewel's life and faith will be
held at Preston
Mennonite Church, 791 Concession Road, Cambridge, on Sunday, April 24,
2005, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Claire Osinkosky officiating. Interment will
take place in Calvary United Cemetery, St. Jacobs. In memory of Jewel,
donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Preston Mennonite Church would
be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged through
the funeral home. Jewel's family would like to extend their sincere
thanks to the 5th floor nursing staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital

Bueta Yoder, 72,
of Pettisville, Ohio, died August
15, 2005 at Wauseon, OH. She was born in Wauseon, OH on December
10, 1932, daughter of Oscar & Frieda (Zaerr) Yoder.
On October 18, 1952 at West Clinton Mennonite Church, Wauseon, OH, she
was married to Marlin Rupp, who survives.
Also surviving:
Children - Monica (Dennis)Zimmerman; Gary (Audrey) Rupp; Jean
Rupp; Diane (Mike) Kempf; Carol (Sam) Hines; Eileen Rufenacht; Arnie
(Ronda) Rupp; and Tom (Deanna) Rupp. Siblings - LaMar (Dianne)
Yoder. Grandchildren – 18
Predeceased by siblings - Robert (Avon Wyse) Yoder and Charles Yoder.
Funeral services were held on August 18, 2005 at North Clinton
Mennonite Church in Wauseon, OH with burial in the Pettisville
Cemetery, Pettisville, OH.
She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

PETTISVILLE - Bueta M. Rupp,
72, of Pettisville, died Monday
afternoon, Aug. 15, 2005, at the Fulton County
Health Center in Wauseon, where
she had been admitted Monday morning.
Born Dec. 10, 1932, near Wauseon, to Frieda (Zaerr) and
Oscar Yoder, she married Marlin Rupp on Oct. 18, 1952, and he survives.
A lifelong resident of the Pettisville area, she was
involved in the HOSTS Program at Pettisville
School and was a volunteer
quilter at Sauder
Village
near Archbold. She was an active charter member of the North Clinton Mennonite
Church
at Wauseon.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Gary
(and wife, Audrey) Rupp, Arnie (Ronda) Rupp and Tom (Deanna) Rupp, all
of
Pettisville; five daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Monica) Zimmerman of Wauseon;
Jeanne
Rupp and Mrs. Mike (Diane) Kempf, of Pettisville; Mrs. Sam (Carol)
Hines of
Gossel, Kansas and Eileen Rufenacht of Archbold; 18 grandchildren; a
brother,
LaMar (Dianne) Yoder of Pettisville; and a sister-in-law, Avon Wyse of
Pettisville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers,
Robert and Charles Yoder.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. in the North Clinton Mennonite
Church.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the
church with Pastors Brad Faler and Dale Wyse to officiate. Interment
will
precede in the Pettisville
Cemetery. Short

Home in Archbold is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the North Clinton
Mennonite Church.

Rupp, Leroy J.
(1931- 2005)
WAUSEON -
Leroy J. Rupp, 73,
of Wauseon, died Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 2005, at the University
Medical Center in Toledo, where he had been a patient since Friday.
Born July 27, 1931, near Archbold, to Lydia (Stuckey) and Eldon Rupp,
he married Annabelle Schrock on Oct. 14, 1951, and she survives.
A resident of the Wauseon area for over 50 years, he was a carpenter
and, since retirement, he was the custodian at Tedrow Mennonite Church
for 10 years. He did volunteer work for Mennonite Disaster Service and
was a member of the Tedrow Mennonite Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Wesley L. (and wife,
Kathy) Rupp of Wauseon and Keith L. Rupp of Archbold; two daughters,
Mrs. Richard (Darlene) Rufenacht of Wauseon and Judy York of Lake
Seneca; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald
(Beth) Rupp and his twin Leon (Clara) Rupp, both of Wauseon; four
sisters, Doris Rupp, Velma Horst, Mrs. Dale L. (Arlene) Short and Ruth
Ann Rupp, all of Archbold.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be today from 2-9 p.m. in the Tedrow Mennonite Church.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastor
Randy Nafziger to officiate. Interment will precede in the Pettisville
Cemetery.
