not sure. She was born February 11, 1924 at Topeka, LaGrange County,
Indiana to the late, George Y. and Sylvia Jane (Miller) Miller.
On September 25, 1943 she was married to Maurice E, Garber, who
survives.
Surviving are children, Karen (Verlin) Troyer, Millersburg, IN; Craig
D. (JoAnn) Garber, Goshen, IN; Joan (Wayne) Gingerich, Hudson, IN;
Gretchen (Verl) Weaver, Goshen, IN; 13 grandchildren, and 12
great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by three brothers: Roscoe Y. (Christa) Miller; Amzie
Y. (Josephine & Eula) Miller; and Holly Y. (Eva) Miller.
Memorial services were held December 5, 2006 at Clinton Frame Mennonite
Church, Goshen, Indiana with burial in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen,
Elkhart County, Indiana.
She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Hubbard, OR died April 4, 2006 at Hubbard, OR of natural causes.
He was born November 14, 1923 at Alpha, Minnesota to Lewis & Olive
(Miller) Garber. Olive was born April 29, 1899 and died May 1,
1996.
On 1946 John was married to Vera Lais, who survives.
Surviving are children, Phyllis Early, Paul Garber, John Garber, Mary
Garber-Saleh, David Garber, Joy Yoder, Ruth Claassen, Richard
Garber, 26 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are siblings, William and Donita Garber, Richard and
Elsie Mengershausen, Alice and Harold Bender, Goldie and Keith Heyerly,
and Jewell and Les Nelson.
He was predeceased by siblingsWayne Garber, and Hugh Garber.
The funeral was held April 9, 2006 at Zion Mennonite Church, Hubbard,
Clackamas, Co., OR with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Lyndell Mervin 17, of 1004 Challenge Drive, Lebanon,[PA] died
Thursday, May 12, 2006, in his home. He was born May 27, 1988, in
Flora, Illinois, a son of Jason and Donna Ebersole Gehman and will be
sadly and dearly missed.
He was a member of the Miners Village Mennonite Church of Cornwall,
[PA] and was employed by Weaver’s Insulators of Myerstown, [PA].
Surviving in addition to his parents are maternal grandparents Paul and
Arlene Hertzler Ebersole, Xenia, Ill.; a brother, Joshua L. Gehman,
Greensburg, PA; a sister, Emily J. Gehman, at home.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. from the Miners Village
Mennonite Church, 108 Rexmont Road, Cornwall [PA]. Interment will be
held privately. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the
Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, Jackson Road, Lebanon, [PA].

Bluffton, OH died July 5, 2006. She was born June 19, 1918 to
Harry and Cleah (Cummans) Ewing. She was married to Paul Geiser,
who survives.

grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Georges, Grace Eby, age 76, of
Hudson, MA passed away Friday,
Nov. 3, 2006 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was the
wife of Christos Georges of Hudson.
Born on Dec. 25 1929 in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of the
late Enos R. and Ruth (Sommers) Eby. She attended Miami Jackson High
School, studied at Trevecca Nazarene College and graduated from Easter
Nazarene
College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Boston
University with a Masters degree in Education.
Grace and Chris met as teachers in the Norton School System and married
in 1958. They settled in Hudson in 1965 where they raised their two
daughters. Grace was an elementary school teacher at the Jaworek School
in Marlborough for 30 years. Grace was a long-time member of the First
United Methodist Church of Hudson where she was committed to mission
both at home and abroad. She was a strong supporter of the United
Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) because 100% of the donated
monies are used directly for relief efforts. During her spare time and
retirement, Grace enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time
with her family, genealogy and scrap-booking.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Gail Hernandez
and her husband Ed of Minneapolis, MN and Pam Georges and her
fiancé Dennis Sherman of Marlborough. She leaves two sisters:
Helen Fahringer (Husband Lester, deceased) of KY, Mildred McKeehan
(Husband Emory) of FL and three Brothers: Ray Evy (wife Karen) of NC,
C. Lee Eby (Wife Carol Anne of TN and Frank Eby (wife) Barbara) of FL.
A memorial service celebrating her life was held on Sunday, November
19, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church, 34 Felton

2006 at Massillon, OH of congestive heart failure. She was born
November 17, 1918 at Kidron, OH to Sam & Lina (Amstutz)
Nussbaum. On January 28, 1940 she was married to Leo Franklin
Gerber, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Jean Steffen, Connie Zuercher, Linda Miller,
Linda Renee Himes, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters and one brother: Esther Steffen, Edna
Hilty, Willie Nussbaum, and Verena Steiner. She was predeceased

2006, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born March 22, 1916, in
Mylo, North Dakota, to Levi D. and Lizzie (Graber) Bontrager. She
married Ezra W. Gingerich on June 25, 1936, in Mylo. He died
March 18, 1993. She was a member of the Benton Mennonite Church,
Goshen, IN.
Survived by four daughters, Marie (Elroy) Miller and Carol (Gerald)
Beachy, both of Millersburg, IN; Viola (Ned) Miller of Goshen, IN and
Geneva (Gene) Bender of Middlebury, IN; a daughter-in-law, Donna
Gingerich of Millersburg, IN;m19 grand children, 46 great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are two
sisters, Mary Slabaugh of Goshen, IN and Agnes (Laban) Hochstetler of
Middlebury, IN; and a brother, Alvin (Mary) Bontrager of Topeka, KS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra; a son, Marvin J.
Gingerich in 2000; two sisters, Viola and Lavina Bontrager; two
grandchildren, Carla and Dana Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan
Bender and Jesica Warstler.
Funeral service was November 19, 2006 at the Benton Mennonite Church,
Pastors Doug Kaufman and Brenda Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in
Benton Lutheran Cemetery, Benton.

MIDDLEBURY -- Friends of David F. Glick may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Joy Conservative Mennonite Church, Goshen. The Revs. Todd Neuschwander and Marvin Troyer, both of the Living Waters Church, and the Rev. Ben Shirk will officiate. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen.
Mr. Glick, 85, of 402 W. Berry, died at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday (March 8, 2006) in the emergency room of Goshen General Hospital, apparently of a heart attack.
He was born July 26, 1920, in Lancaster County, Pa., to John K. and Sarah (Fisher) Glick and had moved to this area in 1949, coming from Pennsylvania. He married Lavina Schrock on May 13, 1951, at Townline Mennonite Church, Shipshewana.
She survives, along with four daughters, Rosa (Don) Eash of Greenfield, Ind., and Sara (Jeff) Lantzer, Martha (Jack) Hankins and Susie (Robert) Richardson, all of Goshen; two sons, Sam Glick of Elkhart and Bob (Janet) Glick of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Emma (Abner) Zook of Newmanstown, Pa.; and one brother, Christ Glick of Gap, Pa.
He was preceded in death by four infant brothers and one sister.
Mr. Glick was a farmer, carpenter, school bus driver and the owner of the Gospel Light Book Store, Middlebury. He was a member of Living Waters Church, Mennonite Disaster Services, a volunteer involved with prison ministry and graded Bible study course papers for Gospel Echoes.

Herman N. Glick, age 86 of
Landis Homes, Lititz, formerly of Atglen
passed away at Landis Homes Saturday, July 15, 2006. He was the husband
of Mary Umble Glick for 61 years on October 14th of last year.
He was born in Atglen, son of the late Reuben and Mary Engel Glick.
Soon after his birth the Glick family moved to Newport News, VA, where
they stayed until his mother passed away when he was only five. He then
returned to Pennsylvania to live with his Uncle Sam and Aunt Lizzie
Miller. Herman attended West Fallowfield High School, Lancaster Bible
College and became very active in the Mennonite Church.
Within the Mennonite church Herman held the offices of Pastor,
Overseer, Conference Moderator and chair of numerous commissions.
He was also a founder of Tel Hai Camp of Honey Brook in 1956. In
addition, he was very active in revival meetings, bible conference
preaching and traveling to various churches serving as
administrator. He started his farming career in the spring of
1945 along Route 10 in Parkesburg then moving to a farm in Atglen in
1953, retiring from farming in 1975. In 1975 Herman and Mary
moved to their ranch house on Swan Roan, Atglen where they lived until
June of this year. He served as Pastor at Wesley Chapel,
Christiana Mennonite and Maple Grove Mennonite over a span of years
from 1955 to 1985. In 1989 Herman started as Chaplain at Tel Hai
Retirement Community until retiring in 2000.
Surviving besides his wife are four children: James, husband of Meimon
Hsu Glick, of Silver Spring, MD, Ann, wife of Ted Derrick of Manheim,
Virginia, wife of Frank Graybill of Hershey, Susan, wife of Dr. Thomas
Ruth of Lancaster; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was
preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond (who died in infancy) and
Mahlon Glick.
Funeral service will take place at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, 549
Swan Road, Atglen, PA on Wednesday, July 19th at 11 a.m. with a viewing
from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. There will be a viewing
Tuesday afternoon at Landis Homes East Bethany Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m.
and again in the evening at Maple Grove Mennonite Church from 7 to 9
p.m. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of
flowers contributions may be

89, of Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA died August 21, 2006 at
Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA after a series of strokes. He was
born July 5, 1917 at Morwood, Montgomery Co., PA to Alvin and Susan
(Springer) Godshall. He was married to Esther Yoder Rittenhouse,
who survives. His first marriage was to Mae Freed Detweiler April
9, 1939; Mae died July 26, 1992.
Surviving are children, Paul Godshall and Catherine Louise Yost;
Dorothy Beidler and Luke Beidler; Anna Mae Landis and Earl Landis;
Marie Griffith and Tim Griffith; 14 grandchildren, and 15
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons: David, died at less than a year
of age; Kenneth, killed in auto accident at age 16 in 1966; and Norman
Lee, died of cancer and complications at age 43 in 1993.
Memorial services were held August 26, 2006 at Plains Mennonite
Church, Hatfield, Montgomery Co., PA with burial in the adjoining
cemetery.

(Schmidt) Goertz. On December 10, 2000 he was married to Laura
Strefling, who survives. His previous marriage was to Cheryl Donnely,
now Cheryl Miller, member at Hively Ave. Mennonite Church.
Surviving are children, Chad Goertz & fiance Courtney Banks; 2
stepdaugthers: Rebecca Savage and Teresa Breiler; a stepson: Matthew
Strefling; and 10 grandchildrenen.

Tina Janzen, 88, of Reedley, CA died June 20, 2006 at Reedley,
CA in her sleep. She was born June 11, 1918 at Putshkow, Siberia,
Russia to Jacob & Maria (Friesen) Janzen. On November 15,
1937 she was married to Abe Goerzen, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Hans Goerzen & wife Kathie of Fresno; Ron
Goerzen & wife Grace of Oregon; Donald Goerzen & wife Debbie of
Tulare; Marlena Loewen & husband Nick of Reedley; Rosalie
Wykoff of Fresno, 12 grandchildren, 15+ great-grandchildren and a
sister, Lena Burgeson.
She was predeceased by a son, Issac and brothers John J., Jake, Abe,
and Isaac Janzen.
The funeral was held June 28, 2006 at First Mennonite Church,
Reedley, CA with burial in Reedley Cemetary, Reedley, CA.
She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Good, Alta Mae Shirk, 88, of New Holland, PA died July 10, 2006
at Ephrata Community Hospital. She was born on April 6, 1918 in Earl
Twp., Lancaster Co.., PA to John Franklin and Barbara (Sensenig) Shirk.
Her husband was Harry S. Good he died on March 24, 2006. She was a
member of the Hinkletown Mennonite Church.
Surviving are her eight children: Ruth E. married to James E. Yoder,
Intercourse, PA; Kenneth L. married to Mildred (Polus) Good,
Brownsburg, IN; Donald E. married to Linda (Moore) Good, Akron, PA;
Joyce E. McFadden, New Holland, PA; Carol A. married to John I. Groff,
Ephrata, PA; Marlin R. married to Jane (Unruh) Good, New Holland, PA;
J. Michael married to Karen (Armstrong) Good, New Holland; H. Leonard
married to Jean (Weber) Good, New Holland, PA; 18 grandchildren; 15
great grandchildren; a sister Elmira S. Snader, Lititz, PA and a
brother, Paul S. married to Anna (Rhoads) Shirk, Manheim, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, sister, Anna Mary
Binkley and three brothers: Leroy S., Harvey S. and Walter S. Shirk.
Funeral service was July 14, 2006 at the Hinkletown Mennonite Church
with Pastor Glenn E. Sauder, Pastor Jeffrey S. Horst and Deacon Albert
Kunkle, and Rev. Warren S. Good officiating. Interment will be in the
adjoining Hinkletown Mennonite Cemetery.

Allen Ronald, 90, of Goshen, IN died June 1, 2006 at Goshen,
IN. He was born November 20, 1915 at Milo, ND to Abe &
Bena (Roth) Graber. On March 28, 1937 he was married to Amanda
Miller, who survives.
Surviving are children, Velda Hershberger, Devon Graber, Nelson Graber,
Idella Chupp,
9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers: Ezra Graber, Joe Graber, Ervin
Graber, Sam Graber and two sisters: Esther Riegsecker, and Ruby Miller.

She was born to Harvey & Carrie (Rupp) King. She was married

Grieser, Beulah A.
(1911 - 2006)
ARCHBOLD - Beulah A. Grieser, 94, of Archbold, died early Thursday
morning, Feb. 9, 2006, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold,
where she had resided since Feb. 24, 2005.
Born Nov. 10, 1911, near Archbold, to Carrie (Rupp) and Harvey King,
she married Truman Grieser on Nov. 24, 1932, and he preceded her in
death on Nov. 16, 1979. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she
was a homemaker and a volunteer quilter at Sauder Village.
She and her husband helped in church planting at Spencer Mennonite
Church at Holland, Ohio, and she was a lifelong member of the Tedrow
Mennonite Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Janet) Esh of Columbus, Mrs.
Delbert (Carol) Martin of Sharpsburg, Md. and Mrs. Art (Ethel)
Swartzendruber of Kokomo, Ind.; seven grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen (and wife, Doris) King of
Sarasota, Fla.; and a sister, Doris Nafziger of Goshen, Ind.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a
great-grandson; a brother, Ralph King; and three sisters, Ella
Nofziger, Ilva Wyse and Mildred Smith.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in
Archbold, and Monday from 9-10 a.m. in the Fairlawn Chapel.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel, with Pastors
Randy Nafziger and Gary Stuckey to officiate. Interment will follow in
the Pettisville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Gideons
International.

Griffith, Oliver Grant, 82,
of Goshen, Indiana died December 6, 2006 of heart failure. He was
born to Eugene and Vivian (Smith) Griffith-Tampas. He was married
to Joan Reedy, who survives.
Surviving are children, Cameron Griffith, Barbara Griffith, two
grandchildren and a sister, Sandra DeLuca. He was preceded in
death by two brothers, Maurice Griffith and Robert Kuhlback.

Groff, Richard S. 88, of Ephrata, PA died September 15, 2006,
due to injuries received in a traffic accident. He was born in Ephrata
Twp. Lancaster Co., PA, to Henry and Ella Snyder Stoner Groff. He was
the husband of Marcella G. Brumbach Groff who died in March, 2000.
He was a member of Ephrata Mennonite Church where he was a Sunday
School teacher. He volunteered at Multi-Language Media and enjoyed
gardening and visiting shut-ins.
Surviving are three daughters, Sara Jane, wife of Charles D. Landis of
Lancaster, PA, Shirley A. Groff of Grantham,PA, and Jean A., wife of
Jay Krause of Akron, PA, 4 grandchildren, Jonathan and Joel Landis, and
Nathanael and Melody Krause, and 2 great granddaughters, Abigail and
Amber Landis.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two
sisters, Jonas, Samuel and Allen Groff, Laura and Anna Mae Groff.
Memorial services will be held September 20, 2006 at Ephrata Mennonite
Church, Ephrata, PA with Pastor Jack Scandrett and Pastor Jeffrey High
officiating. With burial in Hammer Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabeth

Groff, Ruth Rodes Martin, 80, of Mount Solon, died Saturday,
March 25, 2006, at a home in Wrightsville, Ga. She had lived in
Rockingham County and Lancaster Co., Pa. most of her life and had been
living with her daughter in Georgia for the past five weeks.
Mrs. Groff was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Mount Crawford, and was a daughter
of the late David M. and Naomi Koogler Rodes.
She was a homemaker. She wrote poetry, which was published in
periodicals and also wrote a book. She was a member of Bethany
Mennonite Church, Briery Branch community.
On Dec. 7, 1948, she married John D. Martin, who preceded her in death
Oct. 5, 1964. On Nov. 26, 1975, she married Walter B. Groff, who died
July 19, 1987.
She is survived by three daughters, Esther Landis of Mount Solon, Edith
Witmer of Tennille, Ga., and Christina Kolb of Sellersville, Pa; six
sisters, Catherine Rodes, Martha Burkholder, and Ruby Rodes, all of
Mount Crawford, Esther Good of Dayton, Iva Beachy of Harrisonburg, and
Rhoda Bennett of Hinton; six brothers, John Rodes, Aaron Rodes and
Daniel Rodes, all of Mount Crawford, Noah Rodes of
Port Republic, Joseph Rodes of Goshen, Ind., and Adin Rodes of
Bridgewater; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pike Mennonite Church in
Harrisonburg with pastors of Bethany Mennonite Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Pike Mennonite Church Cemetery with Lester Boll
officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today at Pike Mennonite
Church.

Freeman, SD. He was born January 17, 1922 at Freeman, SD to
George J.C. & Mary Gross. On December 21, 1974 he was married
to Adella Kleinsasser, Walter, who survives.
His first marriage was to Elizabeth (Betty) S. Tschetter on November
15, 1942. Betty died of cancer on December 10, 1973.
Surviving are children, Donald Gross, Harley Gross, Derrick Walter,
Vera Heiman, LaVern Walter, and Errol Walter, 17 grandchildren, and 21
great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held January 21, 2006 at Hutterthal Mennonite Church,

Goshen, IN. She was born May 16, 1919 at Smithville, OH to
Alvin and Mary Ellen (Schrock) Ramseyer. On April 18, 1943 she
was married to Donald G. Gundy, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Larry (Barbara) Gundy, George (Kim) Gundy,
Ralph (Jykla) Gundy, Duane (Carolyn) Gundy, 12 grandchildren, and nine
great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters: Esther Miller and Phyllis Miller,
and two brothers: Alvin Ramseyer, and Arden Ramseyer.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dean Gundy, and sisters: Irene
Musser, Edna Kaufman, Erma Johnson, and Mary Kay Gerig.

causes. She was born March 8, 1922 at Franconia, PA to the late
Oswin & Mary Ann (Hackman) Freed. On May 4, 1942 she was
married to John B. Guntz, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Wilma Hathaway, Dolores Hathaway, John Lester
Guntz, Kathy Frederick, Miriam Leatherman, Merle Guntz, David Guntz, 15
grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is Stella Moyer (Sister). Predeceased by Norman,
John, and Melvin Freed (Brothers).
