WAKARUSA, Ind. — Emma Ramer, 87, 300 N. Washington St., formerly
of 67377 C.R. 29, New Paris, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday at Miller’s
Merry Manor.
She was born July 19, 1918, in Olive Township, to
Joseph E. and Mary (Shaum) Martin.
She married Nathan Ramer Nov. 11, 1937. He died July
21, 1992.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the South Bend
Farmers Market for 40 years.
She was a member of South Union Fellowship.
Surviving are six daughters, Esther (Glen) Eye,
Weyers Cave, Va., Catherine (Omer) Stoltzfus, Luray, Va., Alva Ramer,
Stafford, Va., Lois Ramer, Whittier, Calif., Glenna (Jerry) Sloan,
Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mary Jane Bowles, Dale City, Va.; four sons,
Titus (Anna Marie) Ramer, New Paris, Willis (Marion) Ramer, Bellevue,
Mich., Heber (Cheryl) Ramer, Harper, Kan., and Leroy Ramer, Nappanee;
eight sisters, Susie Ramer, Botom*, Texas, Ida Ramer, Grace Shirk,
Suetta (James) Bechtel, Miriam (David) Hoover, and Rhoda (Leonard)
Martin, all of Goshen, and Bertha Martin and Edna Brubaker, both of
Nappanee; six brothers, Daniel (Katie) Martin* and Naaman (Ruth)
Martin, both of Wakarusa, Jason (Mary) Martin and Allen (Ruth) Martin,
both of Goshen, Rufus (Thelma) Martin, Nappanee, and Ben (Edith)
Martin, New Market, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stillborn son and two
sisters, Barbara Brubacher and Ruth Brubaker.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at
Rieth-Rohrer-Ehrer Funeral Home, Goshen, and one hour prior to the
service at the church.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at
Yellow Creek Mennonite Church with the Rev. Ben Shirk officiating.
Burial will be in Yellow Creek Wisler Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Center for Hospice
and Palliative Care of Elkhart County.

Ratzlaff,
Harold Cecil, 94, of Newton, Harvey Co., Kansas died
February 10, 2006 at Newton, Harvey Co., Kansas. He was born
April 27, 1911 at Meno, Oklahoma to J.C. & Mary (Becker)
Ratzlaff. On September 3, 1938 she was married to Ruth Regier,
who is deceased.
Surviving are a son-in-law, Gary Jensen, and 2 grandchildren.
A daughter, Mary Ann Ratzlaff Jensen died in 1999.
The funeral was held February 18, 2006 at Bethel College Mennonite
Church, North Newton, Harvey Co., Kansas with burial in Restlawn,
Newton, Harvey Co., Kansas.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Ream,
David E., 52, of Lima, OH died November 4, 2006 at Lima, OH of a
heart attack. He was born June 1, 1954 to Leonard & Helen R.
Ream, Jr. He was married to Lynette Hartman, who survives along
with a son, Matthew Ream, and a daughter, Katie Ream.
Memorial services were held November 10, 2006 at Pike Mennonite Church,
Elida, Allen Co., OH with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Reeser, Kenneth L., 74, of LeRoy,
Illinois died December 8, 2006 at Bloomington, Illinois from a
massive stroke. He was born October 14, 1932 to Jake and Lorene
(Stahly 02/18/1908-12/04/1998) Reeser. On April 14, 1946 he was
married to Anna Beasley, who survives.
Surviving are two daughters - Connie Hall and Rhonda Friedrich, a son –
Kevin, and
three grandchildren.
Also surviving are his siblings: Donald, Robert (Evelyn), Larry
(Louise), and Patricia (Richard) Burns.
Memorial services were held December 12, 2006 at Mennonite Church
of Normal, Normal Illinois with burial in Bentown Cemetery.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Reeves,
LeRoy A., 84, of Waka, Texas died March 27, 2006 at Perryton,
Taxas after a long period of illness that kept him home-bound for the
last year. He was born April 6, 1921 at Wauneta, NE. In
1941 he was married to Bonnie Reeves, who survives.
Surviving are children, Keith and Mary Reeves, Doug and Becky Reeves,
Harley and Deb Reeves, Carolena and Wayne Cogdill, 5 grandchildren, and
1 great-grandchild.
The funeral was held March 30, 2006 at Perryton Mennonite Church,
Perryton Texas with burial in Waka Cemetary, Waka, Texas.
He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Regier,
Helen Buhr, 96, of North Newton, Kansas died July 10, 2006 at
Newton, Kansas. She was born October 23, 1909 at Gretna,
Manitoba, Canada to Jacob H. & Gertrude (Wieler) Buhr. On
August 22, 1939 she was married to Arnold J. Regier, who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Paul and two grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings: Benno Buhr, Renetta Fast, and Dorothea
Ascher.
The funeral was held July 24, 2006 at Bethel College Mennonite Church,
North Newton, Kansas with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery
Newton, Kansas.

Rempel, Arthur, 81, of
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada died February 16, 2006 of inflammation of
the lungs. He was born to Peter & Maria (Wiebe) Rempel.
Maria Rempel was born November 19, 1891 and died May 27, 1978.
On July 26, 1952 he was married to Helen Wiens, who survives.
Surviving are children, Evelyn Rempel Petkau, Melita Rempel-Burkholder,
Roberta M. Renz, Janet L. Anderson, Theresa H. Rempel, and 7
grandchildren.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Herman & Helena (Hamm)
Rempel, Morden, Manitoba; Elma Kruger, Morden, Manitoba; Olga
Hildebrand, Abbotsford, BC; Tina Draward, Abbotsford, BC; and Gladys M.
Kroeker, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
He was predeceased by a brother, George Rempel and a sister, Hilda
(Rempel) McAuley.
The funeral was held February 21, 2006 at Bethel Mennonite Church,
Winnipeg, Manitoba with burial in Mennonite Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg,
Manitoba.

Ressler,
Stanford E., 78, of Wooster, Ohio died October 12, 2006 at
Wooster, Ohio. He was born September 5, 1928 at Akron, Ohio to
Charles and Marian (Lintern) Ressler.
Surviving is a sister, Carol June Hiner, of Dalton, Ohio. He was
preceded in death by a brother, William Ressler.

of 13050 CR 30, Goshen, Indiana died June 16, 2006 at Goshen, Indiana
of cancer. She was born February 1, 1917 in Elkhart County,
Indiana to John & Neomah (Miller) Riegsecker. On April 12,
1936 she was married to Harry C. Rice, who survives.
Surviving are children, Dorothy (Richard) Schmidt; Norma (Donald)
Gertzman; Gene Rice,
Dennis Rice, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are siblings: Lillian (Fred) Slabach; Doris (Roy) Keim;
Jesse (Agnes) Riegsecker; Duane (Ellen) Riegsecker; Richard Riegsecker;
and Robert (Sandra) Riegsecker.
She was predeceased by siblings: Dorothy Elen Riegsecker; Louise
(Arthur) Hoogenboom;
Lloyd Riegsecker; and John Riegsecker.

Goshen, Indiana with burial in Clinton Union Cemetery Goshen, Elkhart
Co, Indiana.

89, of Souderton, PA died September 13,
2006 at Souderton Mennonite Home, PA. She was born March 22, 1917
to William and Valaria Moyer. On June 28, 1938 she was married to
Samuel Z. Rittenhouse, who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Philip Rittenhouse, two grandchildren, and two
great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a brother, Joseph Moyer and wife.

of Kalona, Iowa died January 4, 2006 at Kalona, Iowa, of natural
causes. She was born April 17, 1925 at Kalona, Iowa, to Samuel
& Cora (Brenneman) Hershberger. On December 14, 1946 she was
married to Ernie G.Ropp, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Phil Ropp, Myron Ropp, Warren Ropp, 7
grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held January 7, 2006 at Kalona Mennonite, Kalona, Iowa,
with burial in Sharon Hill Cemetery, Kalona, Iowa.

ARCHBOLD - Clarence D. Roth,
88, of Archbold, died Saturday
morning, Jan. 7, 2006, at the Fulton County
Health Center in Wauseon, where
he was admitted Friday.
Born March 22, 1917, at rural Wauseon, he was the son of
Fannie (Sauder) and Enos Roth. On June 1, 1939, he married Marjorie
Short, and
she survives.
A resident of the Wauseon area for many years, he moved to
Archbold in 1996, and had resided at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in
Archbold
for about 1 1/2 years.
He was a retired farmer and a charter member of the Zion Mennonite Church
in Archbold.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Lonnie Roth of Lima; a daughter,
Mrs. Alva (Joyce) Roth of Archbold;
four granddaughters; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucile
Beck of
Wauseon and Florence Roth of Archbold.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a
great-granddaughter, Lindsey Suydam; and a brother, Truman Roth.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the Fairlawn
Chapel in Archbold.
Services will be Tuesday in the chapel, with Pastors Mona
Sauder and Anne Stuckey officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Rufenacht, Maynard E.
(1922 - 2006)
ARCHBOLD - Maynard E. Rufenacht, 83, of Archbold, died late Saturday,
Jan. 21, 2006, in his home following a brief illness.
Born Oct. 1, 1922, near Archbold, he was the son of Louisa (Aschliman)
and Elias Rufenacht. On Feb. 27, 1946, he married Elverda Nofziger, and
she preceded him in death on June 16, 1954. He then married Bernice
Nofziger on Nov. 20, 1955, and she survives.
A lifelong farmer and resident of the Archbold area, he was inducted
into the Fulton County Agricultural Hall of Fame in 1991.
For 15 years, he and his wife volunteered the winter months at Tucson,
Ariz., working through SOOP of the Mennonite Mission Network. He was
also a volunteer at Care & Share in Archbold. He was a member of
the West Clinton Mennonite Church near Pettisville and the Fulton
County Dairy Association and served as a board member of the Farm
Credit Service Association.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Bernice, are a daughter, Jean
Hartzler of Goshen, Ind.; four sons, Jim (and wife, Linda) Rufenacht
and Corwin (Peg) Rufenacht, both of Archbold, Terry (Terri) Rufenacht
and Lonnie (Barb) Rufenacht, both of Wauseon; 11 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Erma Rufenacht of Archbold.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his first wife, were his
parents; and two brothers, Reo Rufenacht and Olen Rufenacht.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the West Clinton Mennonite
Church fellowship hall. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m.
at the church, with Pastors James Roynon and Rick Stoner officiating.
Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Food Resource Bank or to the family choice.

BOISE, Idaho
- Duane A. Rychener, 63, of Boise, Idaho,
died early Saturday
morning, Jan. 21, 2006, at his residence, following a lengthy battle
with
cancer. Born Jan. 13, 1943, at Wauseon,
Ohio, to Lucille (Beck)
and Carl
Rychener, he married Rachel Porter on Sept. 22, 1962, and she survives.
A 1961
graduate of Pettisville High School, he served from 1963-65 in the
physical
therapy department at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colo.
in lieu of military service. He lived in Ohio,
Colorado and Florida
before moving to Idaho
in 1994. He owned and operated Rychener Excavating in the Longmont
and Denver, Colo.
area for 15 years and recently worked at Valley View Retirement
Community in Boise.
He attended Second Baptist
Church in Boise. Surviving, in addition to his
wife,
are a son, Terry (and wife, Molly) Rychener of Bellevue; a daughter,
Mrs. Mark
(Pamela) Petersen of Boise; four grandchildren; two brothers, Larry
(Evelyn)
Rychener of Wauseon and Lonnie (Shirley) Rychener of Sarasota, Fla.;
and a
sister, Mrs. Tom (Glora Belle) Yoder of Archbold. He was preceded in
death by
his parents and an infant brother, Lavonne. Visitation will be held
Thursday
from 2-8 p.m. in the Zion Fellowship Hall, Archbold. Memorial services
will be
held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Zion Mennonite
Church,
Archbold, with Mona Sauder and Calvin Rychener to officiate. Interment
will
precede in the Pettisville
