Hackman, Harrison M., 92, of Souderton, PA died May 22, 2015 at his residence. Harrison was born July 13, 1922 in Franconia, Pennsylvania to the late Harrison D. and Lizzie A. (Moyer) Hackman. He was the loving husband of Betty M.(Anders) Hackman for 69 years. He was a faithful member of Lansdale Mennonite Church.

Survived by his wife, Betty, Harrison, a daughter, Janice Zook and her husband Omar of White River Junction, VT; two sons, Cleon Hackman and his wife Lois of Perkasie, PA, and Joel H. Hackman and his wife Shirley of Telford, PA; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, a brother, Norman Hackman and his wife Betty of Lansdale, PA; four sisters, Katie Martin of Cloverdale, OH, Naomi Alstein and her husband David of Southampton, NJ, Pauline Nice of Souderton, PA and Eva Hershey and her husband Charles of Mount Laurel, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Esther Hackman of Wisconsin and Irene Hackman of Souderton, PA;

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Laaden, Samuel, Leroy, Nelson and Paul Hackman and a grandson, Christopher Hackman.

A funeral service was May 26, 2015 at Salford Mennonite Church, Harleysville, Pennsylvania 19438. Burial will follow at Salford Mennonite Cemetery.

Harms, Gladys R. Schmidt, 88, of North Newton, KS died June 30, 2015 at the same place from cancer. She was born November 7, 1926 at Newton, Harvey Co., KS to Arthur and Ruth Schmidt. On September 9, 1947 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church she was married to Merril J. Harms, who survives.

Surviving are children, Marianne Eichelberger, and Jenny Martens, and two grandchildren.

A grandson, Graham Harms Martens, and a brother, Olin Schmidt preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held July 4, 2015 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, Whitewater, Harvey Co., KS with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Harshberger, Mary O., 97, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died August 26, 2015 at the same place. She was born March 19, 1918 at Holsopple PA to John F. and Amanda (Shetler) Harshberger.

A brother John E. Harshberger; step-sister Anna Brilhart; and step-brother Erwin L. Harshberger preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held August 29, 2015 at Scottdale, Westmoreland Co., PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Hartman, Wilmer Jacob
May 24, 1935 - March 28, 2015

GOSHEN - Wilmer Jacob Hartman, 79, passed away early Saturday morning, March 28, at Greencroft Healthcare.

He was born May 24, 1935, in Elida, Ohio, to Jacob and Esther (Diller) Hartman.

On July 15, 1956, he married Lois Ann Miller in Plain City, Ohio. She died Sept. 28, 2013.

He is survived by four daughters, Marcia Weaver and Evie (Dan) Nafziger, both of Goshen, Rachel (Todd) Miller of Cleveland and Lori (Steve) Hartman-Keiser of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; and a sister, Beulah (Clare) Snider of Elida.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Pastors Dan Schrock and Marilyn Rudy-Froese will officiate. Private burial will precede the memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Greencroft Foundation.

Hartman, Wilmer Jacob, 79, of Goshen, IN died March 28, 2015 at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born May 24, 1935 in Elida, Ohio to Jacob and Esther (Diller) Hartman. On July 15, 1956 he married Lois Ann Miller in Plain City, Ohio. She died September 28, 2013. A lifetime minister in the Mennonite church, Wilmer pastored churches in Ohio, Missouri and Michigan. He also served as the Conference Minister for the Ohio Mennonite Conference. He earned a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Ashland Theological Seminary. As a young man he sang with the Mennonite Hour Quartet. A Goshen resident since 2004, Wilmer was a member of Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship.

Survived by four daughters, Marcia Weaver and Evie (Dan) Nafziger, both of Goshen, Rachel (Todd) Miller of Cleveland, Ohio and Lori (Steve) Hartman-Keiser of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; and a sister, Beulah (Clare) Snider of Elida, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Ann, his parents, a sister, Bertha Slabach and two brothers, Melvin and Marion Hartman.

A memorial service was March 30, 2015, at Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship officiated by Pastors Dan Schrock and Marilyn Rudy-Froese. Burial preceded the memorial service.

Hartzler, Frances Louise Wallace, 94, of Bloomfield, Davis Co., IA died September 20, 2015 at the same place. She was born September 18, 1921 in rural Pulaski, Davis Co., Iowa to Chester Glenn and Eva J. (Lowery) Wallace. On November 30, 1941 at Memphis, Scotland Co., MO she was married to John Daniel Hartzler, who was born November 10, 1917 and died July 26, 2002.

Surviving are a son, Daniel (Judi) Hartzler of Pulaski, IA; a daughter, Barbara Daubenmier of Cedar Rapids, IA; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A daughter, Betty M. (Hartzler) Henderson, a brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Frances was an active member of Pulaski Mennonite Church, Dorcas Circle, Quilter, 4-H and Davis County (IA) Fair.

Memorial services were held September 24, 2015 at Wagler Funeral Home, Bloomfield, IA with burial in Pulaski Cemetery, rural Pulaski, IA.

Heatwole, Joseph Newton, 88, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015. Mr. Heatwole was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Dayton, and was a son of the late Calvin Simeon and Mary Florence Beery Heatwole. He was a poultry farmer and later in life drove a taxi for the community. He was a member of Morning View Mennonite Church. He was united in marriage to Martha Frances Martin, who preceded him in death on July 22, 1989.

He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Miriam Miller Heatwole, who preceded him in death Aug. 28, 2002.

Surviving are four children, Elam Heatwole (Ellen) of Harrisonburg, Reuben Heatwole (Pam) of Dayton, Mark Heatwole (Arline) of Edinburg and Esther Gunick (Richard) of Salcha, Alaska; a brother, Paul Heatwole; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were three sisters, Mary Showalter, Grace Lahman and Anna Heatwole, and a brother, Harold Heatwole.

Pastors Raleigh Rhodes and Ric Gullman of the church will conduct a funeral service Friday at 10 a.m. at Bank Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at McMullen Funeral Home Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m.

Heatwole, Willard Joseph, 82, of Bridgewater, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at his home after living several years with the rare disease of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).

Mr. Heatwole was born Aug. 22, 1933, in Hinton, the son of Ralph Frank and Vera Early Heatwole. On April 17, 1954, he married Melba Frances Kiser, who survives.

He enjoyed people, family connections, traveling and creative construction, but his real joy and purpose was knowing God through Christ Jesus, and in inviting others to this commitment. His lifelong work was as missionary, pastor, teacher, community developer and church administrator. He served in Jamaica 20 years and two years each in Costa Rica and Albania. He also served as pastor for churches in Virginia and Kansas and as president of Virginia Mennonite Missions.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five children, Jerrel (Alma) Heatwole of Greenwood, Del., Conrad (Mary Jane) Heatwole of Christiansburg, Jewel (Gary) Yoder of Harrisonburg, Ransford (Christine) Heatwole of Beaver, Pa., and Marolyn Heatwole of Naples, Fla.; siblings, Daniel (Betty) Heatwole, Miriam (Howard) Brubaker, Ida Lois Goering, Twila (Robert) Risser, Evelyn (Edgar) Strite, Doris (James) Landis, Byard (Rosemary) Heatwole, and Vera Rose (Eldwin) Campbell; a sister-in-law, Margaret Heatwole; 13 grandchildren with 15 great-grandchildren, Jerrel Jr. (Sarah) Heatwole with Asher and Jubilee, David (Roxie) Heatwole with Asia and Lincoln, Gabriel Heatwole, Carmen (Jeff) Shiery, Kendra (Absalom) Heatwole Shank with Lila and Silas, Cheryl (Timothy) Heatwole Shenk with Lydia, Matteo and Vivia, Kaitlin Heatwole (Nathan Hershberger), Brendan (Rebekah) Yoder with Joella, Jeshiah and Kylah, Stephanie (Christopher) Pellerin, Kyle Yoder, Dano (Tara) Heatwole with Ransom and Bliss, Kara (Matthew) Plett with Aubrey and Risa (Benjamin) Yutzy.

Mr. Heatwole was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy, Oren and Enos; and in-laws, Glennys Heatwole and James Goering.

Daryl Driver, Joscelyn Robinson and Terry Cline will conduct a funeral service at Dayton Mennonite Church Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Dayton Mennonite Church. Hedrick, Sarah W. Meyers
June 29, 1928 - May 28, 2015

Sarah W. Hedrick, 86, of Sellersville, died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Rockhill Mennonite Community. She was the wife of the late Ralph B. Hedrick, who died December 17, 1981.

Born June 29, 1928 in Souderton, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Mary (Wismer) Meyers.

Mrs. Hedrick graduated from the former Eastern Mennonite College (now University) in Harrisonburg, VA. She was employed as a teacher with Franconia Mennonite School where she met her future husband, Ralph. Upon the couple’s marriage in 1961, she became an immediate mother to his six children.

In the spirit of her late husband, she continued to support and generously contribute to various organizations, including the Penn Foundation, NAMI, and the Mennonite church and schools.

Family and friends will remember her servant's heart which was expressed in her gracious hospitality and delicious meals. She also nurtured many lives over the decades as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. Sarah was a resident at RMC for 22 years and was known by staff and residents for her acts of love and kindness and for her faithful prayers of joy and gratitude. Her hobbies included sewing, drawing, painting, baking, reading, singing, and traveling the world with her family.

Survivors include her children, Merlin S. Hedrick (Debbie) of Telford, Donald S. Hedrick (Joyce) of Harrisonburg, Doris A. Walls (Richard) of Hatfield, Rachel M. Hedrick of Philadelphia, Verna M. Weirich (Sam) of Goshen, IN, Ralph S. Hedrick, Jr. (Sue) of Sarasota, FL, and Miriam L. Hedrick of Sellersville; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five siblings, Esther Hackman, Ruth Toth (Frank), David Meyers (Madeline), Rachel Smith (John), and William Meyers (Dali); her sister-in-law, Evelyn Meyers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Meyers.

Relatives and friends may call between 10:00 and 10:45 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Perkasie Mennonite Church, 320 W. Chestnut St., Perkasie, PA 18944 followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private in Rockhill Mennonite Church Cemetery. Heisey, Esther F., 77, of Lancaster, and formerly a resident of Faith Friendship Ministries, Mountville, passed on to heaven and received her new body on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Conestoga View. She was born in East Hempfield Twp., daughter of Anna Florence Frank Heisey, Lancaster and the late Menno W. Heisey. She was a member of East Petersburg Mennonite Church and after moving to Mountville, Esther attended Habecker Mennonite Church. She enjoyed life and was a caring, loving Christian who loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed the fellowship of the senior center in Columbia, word puzzles, embroidering, and quilting. Some of her quilts sold at MCC Auction in Harrisburg. She previously resided at Friendship Community, Lititz.

Surviving in addition to her mother, three sisters: Miriam Leaman, Rohrerstown; Martha Heisey, Conestoga View; and Rachael wife of James Pessolano, Smithfield, NC. One brother: Menno F. husband of Carolyn Erb Heisey, Cross Junction, VA. She was preceded in death by one brother: John Heisey.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Robert Nolt officiating. There will be no public viewing; however, there will be a visitation on Thursday from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Workman Funeral Homes, Inc. A private family burial will be in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.

MILFORD - Donald R. Helmuth, 61, of 2446 W. 1350 N., Milford, passed away at 1:02 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

He was born April 21, 1954, in Bremen, to Crist E. and Wilma (Yoder) Helmuth.

Mr. Helmuth is survived by his wife, Carol; children Adam (Lorene) Helmuth of Milford, Thomas (Catherine) Helmuth of Goshen and Lea Helmuth of Milford; grandchildren Melissa and Caleb Helmuth; sisters Frieda (Willis) Lehman of Nappanee, Erma (Mel) Schmucker, Laura Stutzman and Mary Lou (Merlin) Mullet, all of Etna Green, and Martha (Ray) Whetstone of Shipshewana; brothers Homer (Janet) Helmuth of Mesa, Ariz., Ed (Connie) Helmuth and Merle (Nora) Helmuth, both of Bremen, Floyd (Rose) Helmuth of Nappanee; and sister-in-laws Martha Helmuth and Janet Helmuth, both of Goshen.

Family and friends may call all day Sept. 2 at the family residence. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, also at the family residence.

Helmuth, Earl Dean

NAPPANEE - Earl Dean Helmuth, 24, of 7057 W. 900 North, Nappanee, died at 6:31 pm, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 in Michigan City as a result of a drowning accident. He was born March 11, 1991 in Nappanee to Walter Ray and Barbara Sue (Hochstetler) Helmuth. Earl Dean was a lifetime area resident and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He had worked at Keystone in Goshen.

Surviving are his parents, Walter Ray and Barbara Sue Helmuth, Nappanee; fiancée, Nora Jean Lehman, Shipshewana; brothers, Aaron Dale, Jesse Wayne, Matthew Jon, Marcus Ray Helmuth, all at home; sisters, Mary Esther, Hannah Ruth, Carrie Jo Helmuth, all at home, and grandparents, Lester and Esther (Hochstetler) Helmuth, Nappanee.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Tobias M and Fannie Mae Hochstetler.

Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. today and all day Tuesday at the family residence. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Marvin Ray Miller residence, 8903 N. 800 West, Etna Green. The Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate. MIDDLEBURY - Elijah Jace Helmuth, infant son of Steve M. and Lori Ann (Bontrager) Helmuth of Middlebury, was stillborn at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at New Eden Care Center in Topeka.

Surviving, along with his parents, are a brother, Tyler Joel Helmuth at home; grandparents Marlin and Katie Helmuth and Ervin and Linda Sue Bontrager, all of Shipshewana; and great-grandparents Sadie Hochstetler and Levi and Ada Bontrager, all of Shipshewana, and Esther Hochstetler of Bremen.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Samuel Wingard, Oscar and Barbara Helmuth, and John Henry Hochstetler.

Family and friends may gather at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, for a graveside service at Naylor Cemetery in Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop Alvin Hershberger the Old Order Amish Church and the home ministers.

Helmuth, Omer D.
February 16, 1940-October 16, 2015

ARTHUR, Illinois -- Omer D. Helmuth, 75, of Arthur died 11:44 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 in Chesterville.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at HCK West Building, 2004 CR 1800 E., Arthur IL 61911. Visitation will be held after 1:30 p.m. Saturday at HCK West Building, Arthur. Burial will be in Otto Cemetery, Arthur.

Omer D. Helmuth was born February 16, 1940 the son of David J. and Magdalena (Bontrager) Helmuth. He married Irma J. Graber September 27, 1962 and they lived in Holy matrimony for 53 years. Omer was an Electrician and mechanical Contractor, who worked for OE Schrock and Reuben's Mechanical for 30 years. He was the owner of Omer's Mechanical for the last 15 years. At 75 years of age he was still doing what he loved doing and had an accident on an aerial lift. Omer was a member of the Old Order Amish.

He leaves to mourn his departure, wife Irma; sons, Darrell (Lorene Bontrager) Helmuth and Owen (Chrissy Fouts) Helmuth; daughters, Mary Jane (Everett) Miller, Wilma Miller, Sarah Lou (Steven) Plank and Lorita (Ervin O.) Yoder; brothers, Adlai (Edna Chupp) Helmuth and Marvin (Sarah Ann Otto) Helmuth; sister, Elmina Herschberger; 31 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1 brother and wife Albert and Mary Helmuth; 1 sister Katie Helmuth and brother-in-law, Jacob Herschberger.

Hernley Elizabeth Sieber

GOSHEN - Elizabeth Seiber* Hernley, 99, died Thursday, Jan. 22, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born July 9, 1915, in Filer, Ohio, to Charles Earl and Bertha (Shoemaker) Seiber.

On June 9, 1941, she married H. Ralph Hernley in Goshen. He died March 15, 2008.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen E. Swanson of Edina, Minn.; two sons, Rodney (Barbara) Hernley of Denver and Roger (Jackie) Hernley of Scottdale, Pa.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Daniel L., John W. and Charles E. Seiber; and two sisters, Miriam Lind and Ruth Reist.

A special education teacher, Mrs. Hernley was a member of College Mennonite Church.

Friends may call for an hour prior to the 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, funeral service at The Gathering Place at Greencroft in Goshen. Cremation will follow the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to MDC Goldenrod and Greencroft Good Samaritan Fund.

Hernley, Elizabeth Sieber, 99, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died January 22, 2015 at the same place. She was born July 9, 1915 at Filer, Idaho to Charles E. and Bertha (Shoemaker) Sieber. In 1941 she was married to H. Ralph Hernley, who was born October 24, 1916 and died March 15, 2008..

Surviving are children, Rodney; Roger; and Ellen Swanson; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held January 30, 2015 at Greencroft Evergreen Place, Goshen IN.

GOSHEN - Lydia Herschberger, 96, died at 4:32 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Courtyard Healthcare of Goshen.

She was born June 26, 1919, in Arthur, Ill., to the late Jacob E. and Joanna (Helmuth) Miller.

On Nov. 27, 1963, in Middlebury, she married Eli Herschberger.

Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mary Alice Yoder and Pauline Schrock, both of Goshen; 34 stepgrandchildren; 87 great-stepgrandchildren; sister Mary Kauffman; and many nieces and nephews, including her caregiver Brenda Bontrager of Middlebury.

She was preceded in death by her stepchildren, Ida Lehman, Fannie Kauffman, Lovina Miller and Perry and Omer Herschberger; and siblings Lovina Hochstetler, Kate Troyer, Dora Bender, Susie Helmuth, Anna Graber, Clara Kauffman, Amanda Yoder, Esther Schmucker and Ezra and Peter Miller.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury, and for an hour prior to the 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, funeral service at First Mennonite Church in Middlebury. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Goshen.

Memorials may be made to First Mennonite Church in Middlebury.

Herschberger, Perry B., 89, of Millersburg, OH died May 8, 2015 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, Ohio. He was born January 10, 1926 in Middlebury, Indiana to Eli A. and Alma (Miller) Herschberger. He was a member of the United Dayspring Mennonite Church in Berlin.

He is survived by his wife, the former Annabelle Yoder, whom he married September 8, 1945; his children Laura (John) Reiner of Leigh Acres, Florida, Delores (James) Stutzman of West Union, South Carolina, Marilyn (Randy) Troyer of Sarasota, Florida and Carolyn (Rodney) Troyer of Sugarcreek, Ohio, daughter-in-law Rose (Mike) Herschberger Groff of Shipshewana, 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, three sisters Mary Alice Yoder, Pauline Schrock and Lovina Miller all of Goshen, and his stepmother Lydia Herschberger of Middlebury.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Gary Herschberger, brother Omer Herschberger and sisters Fannie Kauffman and Ida Mae Lehman.

Services were May 10, 2015 at United Dayspring Mennonite Church in Berlin, Ohio with Pastor John Yoder officiating. A graveside service on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Miller Cemetery, Goshen, IN.Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek, Ohio and Miller-Stewart Funeral Home.

MIDDLEBURY - Donald Hershberger, 91, of Middlebury, died at 4:25 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Milford. He had been in declining health for the past few months.

He was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Elkhart County, to the late Freed and Nina (Horner) Hershberger.

On July 1, 1945, in Constantine, Mich., he married Doris Kline.

Survivors include his wife; daughters Linda (Marvin) Borntrager of Clermont, Fla., Judy (Vincent) Puma of San Diego and Cathy (Barry) Kami of Lafayette, Calif.; grandchildren Jeff (Heather) Wogoman, Jason (Tracy) Wogoman, Keri (Jason) Herzog, Erin Muck and Regan (fiancé David Piccinati) Muck; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Calvin and JR Hershberger, Lois Tyson and his twin, Doneta Burkhardt.

He worked in construction with Hershberger and Sons Inc. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, at First Mennonite Church in Middlebury.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pleasant Oaks Pre-School or IU Health Goshen Hospice.

He enjoyed playing the harmonica and was a member of the Olde Tyme Music Makers.

GOSHEN - LeRoy Hershberger, 89, of Waterford Crossing, Goshen, and formerly of Wakarusa, died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Elkhart Hospice House.

He was born Sept. 14, 1925, in Canton, Ohio, to Levi and Susie Hershberger.

He married Grace (Gongwer) Hershberger on June 22, 1946, and she died May 2, 2011.

Hershberger, Marilyn J. Gerber, 84, of Akron, PA died January 27, 2015 at Mount Joy, Lancaster Co., PA from complications following a stroke.

She was born March 3, 1930 at Winesburg, OH to Clyde and Fannie (Sommers) Gerber. On January 12, 1952 she was married to Paul A. Hershberger, who was born April 15, 1918 and died November 9, 2002.

SHIPSHEWANA - Mary Hershberger, 81, of Shipshewana, died at 10:56 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10.

She was born March 21, 1933, in Shipshewana, to the late Milton A. and Fannie (Mast) Yoder.

On Jan. 22, 1953, she married Perry N. Hershberger. He died Jan. 27, 2006.

Surviving are her children, Lorene (Amos) Beechy and Rosetta (Joseph) Miller, Albert (Carol) Hershberger, Mahlon Hershberger and Nelson (Miriam) Hershberger, all of Shipshewana, Perry Jr. (Esther) Hershberger of Middlebury, DeWayne Hershberger of LaGrange and LeRoy (Mary) Hershberger of Bristol; 23 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and brother Ora Yoder.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and sisters Susan Hostetler, Fannie Yoder and Mattie Hochstetler.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Visitation will be all day Thursday, Feb. 12, at Floyd Lehman's home, 7035 W. 450 N., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the same home. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery.

Hershey, Dorothy Floyd Brubaker Graybill, died February 21, 2015 at Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz, PA. She was born in Rapho Township, near Mount Joy, on September 16, 1923, to Elam and Margaret Floyd Brubaker. She and Melvin Martin Graybill were married April 17, 1943; he passed away 34 years later on July 12, 1977. On October 28, 1989, she and Robert E. Hershey were married; they lived in the Mount Joy area until her move to Landis Homes. Mrs. Hershey was an active member of Mount Joy Mennonite Church, participating in their sewing circle. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lancaster Gideons.

She is survived by husband Robert E. Hershey; one daughter: Joan (John) Horst, of Harrisonburg, VA; two sons: Robert (Ruth Ann) Graybill, of Ashburn, VA, and Dale (Joyce) Graybill, of Mount Joy, PA; two stepsons: Donald (Gail) Hershey, of Mount Joy, PA, and Dale Hershey, of Elizabethtown, PA; two stepdaughters: Darlene (Fred) Myers, of Elizabethtown, PA, and Debra (Eric) Peterson, of Mountville, PA; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; two sisters: Grace (Clarence) Stauffer, of Lititz, PA, and Lois (the late Luke) Peters, of Elizabethtown, PA; and two brothers: James (Miriam) Brubaker, and Luke (Barbara) Brubaker, both of Mount Joy, PA.

He was born to Mahlon M. and Mabel (Eshleman) Hess, June 12, 1954 in Shirati, Tanzania.

On July 14, 1984, he married Ursula Maria Hilbert of Bielefeld, Germany.

She survives along with their three children, Markus (Amber Bennett) of Shawnee, Kan., Hans (Melina Hunsberger) of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and Karsten of Goshen; two grandchildren; a sister, Alice (Maynard) Shirk of Conestoga, Pa; and three brothers, Henry (Laura) of Burlington, Ontario; Carl (Nancy Kaufman) of Lampeter, Pa. and Glen (Sylvia Myers) of Lancaster, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and stepmother.

Dale's career reflected his love of his native Africa, language, people and the environment. For the last 10 years he was employed by Goshen College and worked as the ecological field station director and associate professor in the sustainability and environmental education department.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Waterford Mennonite Church, followed by a 5:30 p.m. funeral service.

Dale grew up in Tanzania. He received his Bachelors of Science from Millersville State College before serving with Mennonite Central Committee as a botanist in Burkina Faso. He then pursued studies at Purdue University with a Masters of Science in Plant Pathology, followed by his PH.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding, after which he joined the West African Programs of the International Corps Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). He served for more than a decade as the Principal Scientist, developing weed and disease management tools, which contributed to improved pest management strategies for farmers. For three years he served as Visiting Assistant Professor in Purdue's Agronomy Department, where he worked on descriptions of rust resistance in sorghum, taught, and advised students. From 2004 until the present, he worked as the Professor of Agroecology and Ecological Field Station Director at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College.

Hess, Edward S., 90, of Lancaster, went home to be with his Great Shepherd, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Calvary Fellowship Homes. He was a devoted husband to his dear wife, Marian (Herr) Hess. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary next year. He was the son of the late Norman and Helen (Snavely) Hess.

He was born July 2, 1924 on the farm he lived on until he was 80 years old. Then he and Marian resided in a lovely cottage at Calvary Homes where he continued his love of the soil by planting beautiful flowers all around. He was always a generous man, who loved people, had a twinkle in his eye and a playful sense of humor. His gentle smile and prayers often brought tears to the eyes of his family. He loved all things growing, beginning his working years for 10 years as a "truck farmer," selling vegetables to local grocers, hospitals and restaurants. Then he took on a large flock of purebred Hampshire sheep. Finally, in 1960 he began a business with his brother, the late Arthur Hess, which became Hess Bros. Fruit Company. He loved visiting the orchards, building rapport with the growers, and purchasing apples to pack and resell to stores all around the area. He retired from Hess Brothers in 1993. All through the years he maintained a lovely little flock of sheep which he tended with a true shepherd's heart. He loved hosting picnics on the farm and sharing many weekends with friends at the little cabin in Potter County.

He was a long-time member of Calvary Church where he served as a beloved children's church leader, an elder, served on the missions committee, and visitation committee.

He is survived by a son, Pastor Tom married to Kate (Hoffman) Hess from Jerusalem, Israel; a daughter, Rebecca "Beckie" wife of John Thompson of Leola, PA. He was preceded in death by his son: Edward "Tedd" whose wife, Bonnie Welch Hess, lives in Lancaster. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Hess, and 6 step grandsons; a brother, Herbert wife of Sarah Hess, Millersville, PA; two sisters: Elizabeth, wife of Leslie Evans of Mansfield and Jane Landis of Lancaster, PA.

His brother, Arthur, preceded him in death.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edward's Memorial Service on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 with Dr. Eric Crichton and Pastor Tom Hess officiating. MILFORD - Betty Lou Hochstetler, 72, of Milford, died at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, in her home of acute leukemia.

She was born July 22, 1942, in Milford, to Elmer and Alda (Farmwald) Slabaugh.

She married LeRoy R. Hochstetler on Sept. 27, 1962.

Mrs. Hochstetler was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

BREMEN - Leon Dale Hochstetler, 26, of Bremen, died unexpectedly at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at South Bend Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Leon had had special needs since birth.

He was born July 9, 1988, in Bremen to Randal L. and Susie E. (Borkholder) Hochstetler.

Surviving are his parents; brothers David Wayne (Doris) Hochstetler of Nappanee and Marcus Allen Hochstetler and Kevin James Hochstetler, both at home; sister Julie Anna (friend Joseph Mast) Hochstetler, at home; nieces Brianna and Alyssa Hochstetler; nephew Isaiah Hochstetler; grandparents Lonnie E. (Verba D. Mullet) Hochstetler of Nappanee and Eli D. S. Borkholder of Bremen.

He was born May 26, 1935.

He married Elizabeth Bontrager, she survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Loretta (Robert) Stutzman of Nappanee, Dorothy (Wayne) Bontrager of Topeka and Ruth (LaVern) Miller of Shipshewana; three sons, LaVern Hochstetler and Mervin Hochstetler, both of Shipshewana, and Marvin (special friend Laura Anderson) Hochstetler of Middlebury; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Saloma Stutzman of Arcola, Ill.; four brothers, Ammon (Katie Ann) Hochstetler of Nappanee, Ora Hochstetler of West Farmington, Ohio, Casper (Wilma) Hochstetler of Shipshewana and Monroe (Ruby) Hochstetler of Sullivan, Ill.; and two sisters-in-law, Wilma Hochstetler of Shipshewana and Mary Hochstetler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a sister and four brothers.

NAPPANEE - Lyle Hochstetler, 22, of Nappanee, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Oct. 23, 1992, in Elkhart, to Leroy and Janice (Yoder) Hochstetler.

Lyle is survived by his parents; sisters Brenda (Freeman) Yoder of Hicksville, Ohio, Anita (Marlin) Miller of Nappanee, Dora (Dean) Kauffman of Bourbon, Julie (special friend Oscar Mencias) Hochstetler of Elkhart and Sharon (special friend Virgil Helmuth) Hochstetler of Nappanee; brothers Kevin at home, Seth of Elkhart, Leroy of Hicksville and Ben of Nappanee; five nephews; six nieces; grandparents Leroy and Malinda Hochstetler of Bremen; and grandmother Wilma Yoder of Nappanee.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Owen Yoder.

GOSHEN - M. Jay Hochstetler, 84, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

He was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Nappanee, to John and Sarah (Borkholder) Hochstetler.

On April 3, 1954, he married Helen E. Byer in Markham, Ontario.

She survives along with a daughter, Shirley Hochstetler of Cardiff, Wales; three sons, Robert (Beth) of St. Louis, Harold (Lisa) of West Chester, Pa., and James (Libby) of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Menno (Catherine) Hochstetler of Bremen.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Mast, Lizzie Harshberger, Barbara Hershberger and Lovina Troyer; and three brothers, Levi, Neal and Joseph Hochstetler.

Jay worked at Weaver Poultry in New Holland, Pa., and Sterling Construction in Mount Sterling, Ohio, before moving to Goshen in 1996.

He was actively involved with Gideons International and at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, where he served as maintenance custodian from 1997 to 2010.

He enjoyed eating out for breakfast, visiting with people, delivering RVs, golfing and hunting.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, and from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service at the church. Pastors Terry Diener and Matt Yoder will officiate. Burial will follow in Clinton Frame Cemetery.

MILLERSBURG - Marcus O. Hochstetler, 24, of Millersburg, died at 2:42 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, as the result of an accident while working on his truck at his parents' home.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1990, to Omer D. and Miriam J. (Schlabach) Hochstetler.

Survivors in addition to his parents are two sisters, Milanda (Marvin) Fisher of Sarasota, Fla.; Lorene Hochstetler at home; two brothers, Wayne (Edna) Hochstetler of Middlebury and Danny Lee Hochstetler (special friend Marla Helmuth of Millersburg) at home; great grandmother, Elizabeth Hochstetler of Topeka; fiance, Esther Schlabach.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Mary Hochstetler and John and Wilma Schlabach. He worked at Grand Design RV, in Plant 3, in Middlebury.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, and all day Monday, Jan. 26, at the family residence, 11750 W. 700 South, Millersburg.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Glen Hochstetler residence, 11435 West 700 South, Millersburg.

Services will be conducted by Bishop Levi Barkman and the home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church.

Hochstetler, Mary Kathryn Swartzendruber, 78, of Kalona, IA died February 2, 2015 at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona. She was born March 18, 1936 the daughter of Emanuel and Magdelina (Miller) Swartzendruber. On May 3, 1955 she was united in marriage to Franklin L. Hochstetler at the East Union Mennonite Church. They lived in rural Frytown until moving to Kalona in 1970. She was a member of the East Union Mennonite Church where she was active with Women's Sewing. She also was a charter member of the Kalona Lioness Club.

Mary is survived by her husband Franklin of Kalona; a son James A. Hochstetler of Kalona; two daughters: Trish (Steve) Billups of South Sioux City, Nebraska; Lori Hochstetler of Kalona; three grandchildren: Heather (Stephen) Dunn of Des Moines; Eric Billups of Minnetonka, MN; Dustin Billups of Toledo, OH; four sisters: Jane Gingerich of Riverside; Gladys Mast of Jefferson, OR; Dorothy Krebs of Washington; Carol Campion of West Branch; and three brothers: Robert Swartzendruber of Iowa City; Richard Swartzendruber of Reno, NV; and Glenn Dale Swartzendruber of Bettendorf.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Kathy Jo; two brothers: Harold and Ronald Swartzendruber; and two brothers-in-law Mahlon Joe Gingerich and Billy Campion.

Funeral Services were February 5, 2015 at the East Union Mennonite Church in rural Kalona. Pastor Firman Gingerich will officiate. Burial will be in the East Union Cemetery.

She was born April 28, 1934, in Shipshewana to the late Milton A. and Fannie (Mast) Yoder.

On March 14, 1957, she married Eli J. Hochstetler.

Survivors include her husband; children Elsie (Tobe) Hochstetler, Freda (Larry) Hochstetler, Susie (Aden) Hershberger and Mary, Ruby, Melvin (Lena), Erwin (Ruth), Floyd (Erma) and Harley (Eleanor) Hochstetler; 36 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Hershberger of Shipshewana; half brother Ora (Edith) Yoder; and stepbrothers Elmer Miller and Wilbur Miller.

She was preceded in death by a son, Freeman Hochstetler; one great-grandchild; sisters Susan Hostetler and Fannie Yoder; half siblings Freeman, Raymond and Truman Yoder and Viola Bontrager; and step-siblings Wilma and Henry.

Visitation will be all day Friday, Jan. 9, at Samuel F. Yoder's home, 10635 U.S. 20, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, also at the Yoder home. Burial will be in Naylor Cemetery in Shipshewana.

MILFORD - Omer E. Hochstetler, 87, died at 2:04 a.m. Wednesday, July 29.

He was born Feb. 11, 1928, in Kosciusko County, to Eli J. and Sarah (Miller) Hochstetler.

On Aug. 15, 1948, he married Wilma Hochstetler.

He worked at Gehl Industry in Nappanee.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; children LaMar O. (Sarah) Hochstetler and Mary Ellen (Allen) Schwartz, both of Milford, Paul D. (Kathryn) Hochstetler of Goshen, LeAnna (Neal) Bontrager and Henry E. (Rose) Hochstetler; 39 grandchildren; 105 great-grandchildren; siblings Verda Hochstetler, Ellen Chupp and Jesse (Wilma), Lonnie (Verba) and Earl (Erma) Hochstetler, all of Nappanee, and Marvin Hochstetler of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rosanna Bontrager, and siblings Edna, Lavina, Sylvia, Mattie, Willis and Glen.

Hofer, Gordon Glenn, 80, of Bridgewater, SD died November 5, 2015 at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha Co., SD from cancer.

He was born June 13, 1935 at Dolton, McCook Co., SD to Peter J.S. and Adina D. (Hofer) Hofer. Peter was born October 18, 1898 and Adina was born April 29, 1907.

On March 26, 1957 at Henderson, Hamilton Co., NE, he was married to Alvina Siebert, who was born October 3, 1935 and survives.

Surviving are children, Donita (Paul) Davis; Stewart Hofer; and Vincent Hofer; six grandchildren, and a sister, Thelma (Dennis) Mendel.

Memorial services were held November 11, 2015 at Hutterthal Mennonite Church, Freeman, Hutchinson Co., SD with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Hofer, Kathryn M. Stahl, 91, of Freeman, Hutchinson Co., SD died November 30, 2015 at the same place.

She was born March 12, 1924 at Freeman, SD to Mike J. and Katie (Gross) Stahl. Mike was born May 12, 1986 and died January 2, 1963. Katie was born January 12, 1986 and died March 15, 1967.

On October 26, 1947 at Freeman, SD she was married to Marvin P. Hofer, who was born June 23, 1924 and died January 23, 2002.

Surviving are children, Donald (Marjorie) Hofer; Priscilla (Paul) Hofer; and Ann Marie (Gene) Reiling; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and siblings: Mary Stahl; Paul Stahl; John (Deloris) Stahl; Jacob Stahl; and Marvin (Judy) Stahl.

A sister, Anna Stahl; and three brothers: Melvin Stahl; Mike Stahl; and William Stahl preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held November 4, 2015 at Hutterthal Mennonite Church, Freeman, SD with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Hollinger, Clair M., 80, of Mount Joy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 30, 2015, surrounded by his family at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in East Petersburg, he was the son of the late I. Lester and Anna (Landis) Hollinger. Clair was the husband of Erma E. (Esbenshade) Hollinger, with whom he was married for 61 years.

Clair operated a dairy farm in East Donegal Township for 45 years. During his retirement, he enjoyed his job as greens keeper for the Groff Farm Golf Course in Mount Joy. Throughout his 17 years at the golf course, he retained a special friendship with the proprietors, Abe and Betty Groff. Clair was a member of the Mount Joy Mennonite Church for over 60 years. A well known member of the agricultural community, he served with many groups and organizations during his farming years. Clair enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his weekly visits with his great grandchildren. A special person to many, he will be remembered for his devoted love of his family.

In addition to his wife, Clair is survived by three children: Louann (Jeff) Weaver, of Manheim, Leon (Sherrill) Hollinger of Mount Joy and Edward (Dolly) Hollinger of Benton; four grandchildren: Justin (Stacy) Weaver, Matthew (Lindsay) Weaver and Rachael and Kelly Hollinger; two great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Blake and Thaddeus "Teddy" Weaver. Also surviving are brothers, Wilmer (Ruth) Hollinger of Goshen, IN and Jim (Gail) Hollinger of Gore, VA.

A funeral service honoring Clair's life will be held at the Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road, Mount Joy on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11 AM. A viewing will be held at the Mount Joy Mennonite Church on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 2 PM to 5 PM and Monday, from 9:30 until 10:30 AM. Holsinger, Salome Anna Fast, 98, of Hesston, Harvey Co., KS died March 3, 2015 at the same place. She was born February 5, 1917 at Mountain Lake, Minnesota to David H. and Justina (Warkentin) Fast. On December 16, 1944 at Santurce, PuertoRico she was married to Justus G. Holsinger, who survives.

Surviving are children, Dave (Jan) Holsinger; Don (Ruth) Holsinger; Betty (Keaton) Shenk and Becky Rand; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth (Gene) McBride.

Hooley, Doris Isabelle King
August 8, 1924 - January 12, 2015

After a long, full life, Doris Isabelle King Hooley, of Indian Cove passed away at the age of ninety at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Notus, Idaho on January 12, 2015.

Doris was born in Hubbard, Oregon on August 8,1924, the fifth child of Florence Bell Burke and Oliver Wendell King. She attended grades 1st - 8th at "91" School in Hubbard and later studied Bible at Hesston Academy in Kansas.

When Doris visited her sister, Norma Kauffman, in Indian Cove, Idaho she met Wesley Hooley, a local farmer. They were married on August 25,1946 at Hopewell Mennonite Church in Hubbard, Oregon. Doris and Wes made their home in Indian Cove for 68 years. During their long marriage, they had seven children. Doris enjoyed being a mother and wife and was a creative and busy homemaker. Every year Doris planted a large garden. She harvested copious amounts of fruits and vegetables, canning and preserving produce for the winter. Doris' creative personality was everywhere evident as a gardener, a quilter, and a seamstress. She also embroidered, and exhibited artistic talents, painting pictures and Biblical scenes when she was younger. Each year, Doris served delicious holiday feasts to her family, full of home-canned goods, delicious pickles, dinner rolls, and a variety of Christmas candies.

Family members describe Doris as soft-spoken and caring. She loved her children and grandchildren, and gave gifts of her hand-tied comforters and her other handiwork. Her children tell stories of Doris taking simple household items or rocks and flowers from the yard to build creative and imaginative toys or fun activities. Every Easter she helped her children build a little tomb for Jesus from rocks and bath towels, and on Easter morning the family woke to find that, magically, the little tomb was empty, and the rock was rolled away. In later years, Doris enjoyed watching the birds feed outside her living room window. In her Indian Cove home, she nurtured beautiful and sometimes exotic houseplants and flowers. Cards and letters, phone calls, and messages from family and friends were cherished by Doris.

Without fanfare, Doris was a faith-filled worker for the Lord and her church. She taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and participated in ladles sewing circle. She prayed for her family without ceasing. On her own initiative, Doris also gave to those in need, outside her family and friends. An expert and prolific seamstress, Doris sent many boxes of home-made clothing and comforters to orphanages in Guatemala and Romania and around the world.

Doris is survived by her husband, Wesley Hooley, of Indian Cove, and two sisters, Eunice King of Canby, Oregon and Beulah Cowan of Sweet Home, Oregon. Surviving are Doris' seven children: Judith (Wendell) Unrau of Notus, Idaho; Maxine (Rick) Peirson of Port Townsend, Washington; Dale (Diana) Hooley of Indian Cove, Idaho; Donna (Robert) Detrich of Harrisonburg, Virginia; Gary (Lois) Hooley of Filer, Idaho; Eugene (Mary Esther) Hooley of Bend, Oregon; and Sharon Hooley of Nampa, Idaho. Also surviving are her 18 grandchildren: Becky (Hooley) Martin, Aubrey Hooley, Isabelle (Hooley) Shlffln, Isaac Hooley, Kahlil Detrich, John Hooley, Antara (Detrich) Quinones, Blanca (Unrau) Kauffman, Andy Hooley, Sam Hooley, Carina Detrich, Joel Unrau, Chardin Detrich, Sarah Hooley, Erick Peirson, Zachary Hooley, Nathaniel Peirson, Caleb Hooley and eight great-grandchildren.

Doris is pre-deceased by her parents and four siblings: Norma (King) Kauffman, Lyle King, Howard King, and Hadley King.

FORT WAYNE - Lois J. Hooley, 76, formerly of Goshen and Arcadia, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 14.

She was born Jan. 5, 1939, in Midland, Mich., to Wilbur and Luella (Miller) Yoder.

On Sept. 12, 1959, she married David L. Hooley in Midland.

He survives along with two daughters, Jane'e (Brad) Bontrager of Shipshewana and Teresa Souers of Fort Wayne; a son, David "Scott" (Jane) Hooley of Howe; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and three brothers, Darell (Karen) Yoder, Lynn (Judy) Yoder and Doyle (Wendy) Yoder.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ardice Kauffman and Marva Yoder; two brothers, Harlan and Ron Yoder; a granddaughter, Jessica Bontrager; and twin great-grandsons, Ethan and Logan Knight.

A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial of cremated remains will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana, at a later date.

MIDDLEBURY - Richard Hooley, 78, of Middlebury, died Saturday, Aug. 29, at Millers Merry Manor. He had been in declining health.

He was born Feb. 23, 1937, in Middlebury, to Dan and Bessie (Miller) Hooley. On Jan. 31, 1959, in Clinton Brick Mennonite Church, Goshen, he married Lavera Troyer. She survives.

Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Cheryl (Lowell) Troyer of Guatemala and Rolonda (Ted) Graber; two sons, Brad (Lesa) Hooley and Allen (Crystal) Hooley, all of Goshen; 13 grandchildren, Amber, Andrew, Alicia, Caitlin, Steven, Alexis, Kelsey, Conner, Nick, Adam, Logan, Jackson and Cameron; two great-grandchildren, Adria and Reed; a sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Rodman of Angola; and two brothers, Larry (Marilyn) Hooley and Randy Hooley, both of Middlebury.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Harold, John, Robert and Maurice Hooley; and two sisters, Neva Graber and Marilyn Eicher.

Richard was an amazing grandfather and loved spending time with all of his grandchildren. He was a great storyteller and enjoyed working outside and in his woodworking shop. He was a true servant, volunteering his time on mission trips, teaching Sunday school to youth and serving as an elder for the church. He was a member of Clinton Brick Church.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Clinton Brick Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastor David Hathaway and his son-in-law, Lowell Troyer. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery, Middlebury.

Memorials may be given to Students International to help fund the mission trip of his granddaughter, Kelsey Graber.

Hoover, Anna M. Good, 89, of East Earl, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy. She was the loving wife of Earl W. Hoover, with whom she shared over 67 years of marriage. Born in Fivepointville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Ivy (Bender) Good. Anna was a member of Goodville Mennonite Church. She was also a homemaker and daycare provider. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books, gardening, and cooking for her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Brenda Andes of New Holland and Diane Hoover of East Earl; a sister, Beatrice Brubaker of New Holland; a brother, Earl B. Good, husband of Emma, of Terre Hill; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, 8 brothers: Joseph, Lester, Howard, Marvin, Harry, Warren, Lewis, and Wilmer Good; and two sisters, Grace Horning and Sarah Jane "Jennie" Weaver.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 2 PM at Goodville Mennonite Church, 1556 Main St, Goodville, PA 17528 with Bruce Sauder and Kelly Martin officiating. Hoover, Benjamin F., 84, of 580 Reidenbach Road, New Holland, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 15, 2015.

Born in Earl Twp., he was the son of the late David B. and Lizzie (Martin) Hoover. He was married 63 years on January 17 to Mary Z. (Martin) Hoover.

He was a farmer and a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Mahlon, married to Martha (Martin) Hoover of Ephrata, and Frank, married to Laura (Martin) Hoover of New Holland; six daughters, Etta Hoover, at home, Susie, married to Clarence Reiff of East Earl, Sarah, married to Walter Martin of Penn Yan, NY, Ruth, married to Henry Z. Martin of New Holland, Mary, married to Paul Martin of New Holland, and Alice, married to Reuben Weaver of East Earl; 38 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, Rufus, married to Sarah (Martin) Hoover of New Holland, Lydia, married to Rufus Martin of Denver, Anna, married to Paul Z. His funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, at 9 a.m. at his late home with further services at 9:30 a.m. at New Holland Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Hoover, Edna Martin, 86, of 813 Glenwood Dr., Ephrata, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Ephrata Community Hospital. Her husband of 59 years, Melvin M. Hoover, survives. Born in Ephrata Twp., she was the daughter of the late Samuel K. and Daisy (Getz) Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pequea Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children: Ruth Ann married to Clair Hoover, New Holland; Curvin married to Jane Hoover, Kinzers; Mary Jane Martin, Ephrata; Melvin, Jr. married to Anna Hoover, Berrysburg; Nelson married to Dawn Hoover, Lebanon; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four siblings: Paul G. She was born on October 27, 2012 in Hershey, the daughter of Samuel F. and Loretta S. (Weaver) Hoover of Mifflinburg.

Surviving are one brother, Merlyn W. Hoover at home, paternal grandparents, John H. and Verna L. Hoover of Millmont, and maternal grandparents, Melvin Z. and Elva M. Weaver of Mifflinburg.

Hoover, Timothy Martin, age 21, of Westview, KY, passed away Friday, (October 16, 2015) at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on February 5, 1994, in Lancaster County, PA, the son of Allen and Frances Martin Hoover.

He was a self-employed farmer, and was of the Old Order Mennonite faith.

He is survived by his parents, Allen and Frances Hoover of Westview; three brothers, Jesse, Reuben, and Alvin Hoover; four sisters, Katie Martin (David), Nancy, Elsie, and Dorcas Hoover; and two nephews, Nathaniel and Nelson Martin.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (October 19, 2015) at the Clearfield Old Order Mennonite Church in Leitchfield. Bishop Daniel Girod and Minister Aaron Hoover will be officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.

NAPPANEE - Trevor Wyatt Hoover, 1 month and 2 days, of Nappanee, died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

He was born May 29 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to Mark and Karen (Martin) Hoover.

Surviving are his parents; brothers Tristan Hoover (his twin) and Terrell Hoover and sister Kelsa Hoover, all of Nappanee; maternal grandparents Elverne and Lauretta Martin of Nappanee; maternal great-grandparents Harvey and Ina Weaver of Goshen and Lowell and Mary Alice Martin of Nappanee; paternal grandparents Marlin and Berdina Hoover of Elkhart; and paternal great-grandparents Dale and Mabel Martin of Goshen.

GOSHEN - Velorous J. Hoover, 89, passed away late Sunday evening, Jan. 4, at Courtyard Healthcare.

She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Wakarusa to Ralph and Mabel (Hochstetler) Shaum.

On May 13, 1945, she married Lowell W. Hoover in Nappanee. He died Dec. 13, 2011.

Survivors include four daughters, Karen Hoover of Goshen, Phyllis (Terry) Scanlon of Elyria, Ohio, Jean (Louis) Cheng of Charlottesville, Va., and LaVonda Hoover of Anaheim, Calif.; a son, Howard E. (Mary) Hoover of Lapeer, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carylin Chupp of Wakarusa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, L. Richard Hoover; a sister, Ruth Bradley; and a brother, Wayne Shaum.

A member of Benton Mennonite Church, Mrs. Hoover loved to quilt. She retired from driving a school bus for the Imlay City Schools.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, and for an hour prior to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastors Doug Kaufman and Brenda Meyer will officiate. Burial will follow in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.

Horst, Barbara Horst, 99, of St. Jacobs, Waterloo Co., Ontario, Canada died August 9, 2915 at the same place. She was born May 24, 1916 at St. Jacobs to Menno and Lovina Horst. On September 8 1938 at St. Jacobs she was married to Noah Horst, who was born August 11, 1906 and died October 22, 2001.

Surviving are children, Janet Shorten, Barbara Ann Horst, and Lois Horst; one grandchild, one great-grandchild and two sisters, Mary Shantz and Emma Brubacher.

One brother, Lawrence Horst, and one sister, Ruth Dianne Horst preceded her in death.

Horst, Eli M., 98, of Lancaster County, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie H. Horst. Born in East Earl Township, he was the son of the late Eli Z. and Lydia (Musser) Horst.

Eli was a farmer of cattle, poultry, and tobacco. He also worked for Bareville Burial Vault Company for 16 years. Eli enjoyed caning chairs as a hobby. He was a member of the Springville Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Surviving Eli is a son, Eli M. Horst, Jr., husband of Jennie (Eberly), of Denver, PA; 5 daughters: Vera Martin, wife of Elvin, of Ephrata, Minerva Brubaker, wife of Abram, of New Holland, Eleanor Martin of Middlebury, IN, Anna Mary Weaver, wife of Enos, Jr., of New Holland, and Erla Horst of Ephrata; a sister, Lucy Oberholter, wife of David; 14 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his daughter Verna Mae Horst, his son-in-law Lloyd M. Weaver, six brothers, Samuel, Isaac, Adam, Jacob, Enos, and Paul, and a sister, Anna High.

Horst, Elva May Herr, 86, of Big Pool, Md., entered the kingdom on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

Born July 30, 1929, in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy Herr and Alice May (Pickel) Herr Ruhl. She was a graduate of East Hempfield High School. She was a member of Mt. Zion Mennonite Church in Boonsboro, Md. and a member of the Foster Parent Association of Washington County.

Our mother provided love, wisdom, and strength to her children and the many foster children in her care. A devoted wife and mother, she provided a home filled with unconditional love to each person and child who entered - this was her gift. Her caring and nurturing ways were constant, and everyone would leave with a sense of being deeply loved. She provided care for foster children for over 40 years, expecting no earthly gain or reward. Serving her Lord was daily as she cared first for her family and also as a nurse and a foster parent. Her collection of covered bridges adorned her home made by the framed puzzles she and her family enjoyed doing. The verse, "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her." is a testament to her life.

Elva is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Alvin H. Horst, of Big Pool; three daughters, Elaine Weaver (Greg) of Clear Spring, MD, Ellen Brown (Donald) of Falling Waters, WV, and Erma Brothers (Robert) of Mifflintown, PA; four sons, Clair Horst (Jeanine) of Hagerstown, MD, Carl Horst (Lisa) of Clear Spring, MD, Clark Horst of Greencastle, PA, and Clarence Horst (Barbara) of Jefferson, MD; adopted children, Joseph and Edward Horst; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many foster children.

In addition to her parents, Elva was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Fay Martha and three brothers, Merle Herr, Harry Herr, and Raymond Herr.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Mt. Zion Mennonite Church at 11:00 am. The Pastor Craig Oury will officiate. She was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Darlow, Kan., to Ammon and Sarah (Borntrager) Troyer.

Mary Edith married Aden Horst on June 6, 1950. He died March 13, 2008.

Survivors include four daughters, Mardene (Wayne) Kelley of Columbus, Ruth (Eric) Stoltzfus of Goshen, Ind., Janet Miller (Bill Azzam) of The Woodlands, Texas, and Anita Horst of The Woodlands. Also surviving are five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one half brother, Mark Troyer of Los Angeles.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, John Ray Horst.

She lived most her adult life in Elkhart County in Indiana.

Her body has been donated to the Ohio State University Medical Center. A private service will be at a later date.

Horst, Melvin, 88, of St. Jacobs, Waterloo Co., Ontario, Canada died March 31, 2015 at Derbecker's Heritage House, St. Jacobs, ON. He was born July 14, 1926 at St. Jacobs to Menno and Lovina (Bauman) Horst. On September 4, 1948 he was married to Leeta Dettwiler, who was born August 8, 1928 and survives.

Surviving are children, Doug and Stephanie Horst, Roland and Rae Horst, Rose Ann (Glen, deceased) Mottet, Gary and Brenda Horst, and Brent and Andrea Horst; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mary Shantz, Barbara Horst, and Emma Brubacher.

His siblings, Lena Frey, David Horst, Elam Horst, Amon Horst, Martha Koch, and Verna Waters preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held April 7, 2015 at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, St. Jacobs, Ontario with burial in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery, Three Bridges Road, St. Jacobs, ON.

Horst, Mildred J. Martin, 85, of New Holland, formerly of Terre Hill, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland.

Born in Terre Hill, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Sadie (Good) Martin. She was married 65 years on Aug. 20 to Aaron M. Horst, Jr.

Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the Hinkletown Mennonite Church where she was active in the sewing circle. She enjoyed cooking but mostly her children and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Julia A., married to Allen Redcay of New Holland, Donna L. Horst of Lititz, Ronald L., married to LuAnn Horst of Lancaster, Robert L., married to Jeanne Horst of Harrisonburg, VA, and Sheila K., married to Perry Hoover of Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; three brothers and a sister, Lewis Martin of Ephrata, Laura Weaver of Lititz, C. Edwin Martin of Bowmansville, and J. Donald Martin of Lebanon.

Preceding her in death is a granddaughter, Erika Leigh Horst; two sisters, Harriet Sensenig and Lillian Leaman; and two brothers, Eugene Martin and Horace Martin.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 1, at 11 AM at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Hwy., Ephrata with the Reverend Glenn Sauder and Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating. GOSHEN - Ruth I. Horst, 86, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 27, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.

She was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Salem, Ohio, to John and Ida (Weaver) Horst.

She worked as an administrative assistant at Mennonite Central Committee in Akron, Pa., from 1951 to 1954; Menno Travel Service in Newton, Kan., from 1954 to 1960 and in Amsterdam, Holland, from 1960 to 1963; Goshen College from 1963 to 1986; and Mennonite Board of Missions in Elkhart from 1986 until her retirement in 1997.

Ruth was an active member of North Goshen Mennonite Church since moving to Goshen in 1963. Since her retirement, she has enjoyed volunteering at Goshen General Hospital, Oaklawn, Meals on Wheels and Greencroft.

She is survived by a brother, John (Elsie) Horst of Sarasota, Fla., and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved and appreciated.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James and a sister, Vera Witmer.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, prayer service will be at the funeral home prior to burial in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at North Goshen Mennonite Church. The Rev. Mark Schloneger will officiate.

Hostetler, Dora Lavaun Sommer, 97, of Hesston, Harvey Co., KS died March 23, 2015 at the same place. She was born September 22, 1917 at Crawfordsville, IA to Christian C. and Selma Clare (Suter) Sommer. On October 23, 1952 she was married to Kenneth E. Hostetler, who is deceased. She was previously married to Harry F. Dettwiler (divorced).

Surviving are children, Harry (Butch) F. Dettwiler (Valerie) and Ann (Jerry) Schroeder; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a brother, Irvin C. Sommer.

A grandson, Greg Schroeder and a brother, Otto L. Sommer preceded her in death.

A graveside service was held March 26, 2015 at Hesston City Cemetery, Hesston, KS.

MIDDLEBURY - Frank C. Hostetler, 88, of Middlebury, died Friday, June 19, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, Ill., after a brief illness.

He had been in the area to attend his granddaughter's wedding.

He was born Sept. 30, 1926, in Shipshewana, to Allen J. and Rosa (Nelson) Hostetler.

On March 3, 1951, in Middlebury, he married June VanZuilen. She died June 12, 2014.

Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne Hostetler of Middlebury and Jennifer (Thomas) Mottier of Aurora, Ill.; a son, Monte (Laura) Hostetler of Waldorf, Md.; four grandchildren, Tom, Michael, Kathleen and Heather; and one great-grandson, Eli.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and three brothers, Tyrus, John and Nelson Hostetler.

He was a member of Shore Mennonite Church, the Shipshewana Lion's Club and taught at many area high schools, where he also coached sports. He received his bachelor's degree in 1949, Master's in Education in 1964 and Doctor of Health and Safety in 1968, all from Indiana University. He was a professor at Western Illinois University, Texas Woman's University and Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed following IU and the Chicago Cubs.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service at Shore Mennonite Church, Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Pastor Carl Horner. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Memorials may be given to Rainbow Years Learning Center.

LAGRANGE - Walter S. Hostetler, 93, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, May 5, at Woodland Manor in Elkhart.

He was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Emma, to Earl and Bertha (Mishler) Hostetler. They preceded Walter in death.

Walter was a lifetime resident of LaGrange County and worked various jobs over the years. He was a farmer, a school bus driver for Westview School Corp. for 13 years, hauled milk for County Line Cheese Co. and distributed fertilizer for DAVCO.

Mr. Hostetler was a member of Emma Mennonite Church and sang in the Gospel Messengers chorus group for 13 years.

On Nov. 4, 1944, he married S. Marie Hostetler in Emma. She preceded him in death Feb. 7, 2008.

Surviving Walter are a daughter, Judy Donovan of Elkhart; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Maurice "Moe" Hostetler of Cassopolis, Mich., and Loren and Mary Hostetler of Manor, Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Preceding Walter in death was a stepdaughter, Jane Moore; a sister, Evelyn Kauffman; three brothers, Wayne, Ken and Leland Hostetler; a granddaughter, ReNee Evans; and a grandson, Loren LeRoy Hostetler Jr.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at Emma Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Gene Hartman officiating. Burial will take place in Bontrager Cemetery in Shipshewana. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the church.

Householter, James P., 56, of Wheaton, IL died April 10, 2015 at the same place from cancer. He was born September 11, 1958 at Eureka, IL to Robert and Madeline Householter. On September 29, 1990 he was married to Karen Householter, who survives.

Surviving are children, Emily and Peter, and two brothers, Dennis Householter and Bob Householter.

Hughes, Lina S. Yoder, 82, of Souderton, PA died October 7, 2015 at Allentown, PA after suffering a heart attack.

She was born November 28, 1932 at Reedsville, PA to Levi A. and Cora E. (Yoder) Yoder. Levi was born March 25, 1902 and died January 28, 1957. Cora was born June t, 1903 and died May 24, 1957.

On September 30, 1961 at Monterey Mennonite Church, Leola, PA she was married to Theodore G. Hughes, who was born September 21, 1933 and survives.

Surviving are children, Nancy D. Lenhardt (Gregory); Curtis G. Hughes; Mary E. Bauer (Jeson); and B. David Hughes (Sherri Roth); nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three brothers, Alpha Yoder, Pius Yoder, and Levi Yoder.

His siblings, Fannie Yoder, Elizabeth Yoder, Christ Yoder, Samuel Yoder, Daniel Yoder, and Clara Yoder preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held October 10, 2015 at Souderton Mennonite Church, Souderton, PA with burial in Souderton Mennonite Church Columbarium.

Hursh, E. Mervin, 78, of Ephrata, entered into rest at his residence surrounded by his family, on Monday, January 26, 2015.

He was born in Earl Township to the late Eli H. and Sadie (Martin) Hursh and was the husband of Elsie (Weaver) Hursh with whom he shared nearly 56 years of marriage.

Mervin was a member of the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. He was a retired farmer.

Hurst, David Eugene, 73, of 3457 Buffalo Road, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at his home.

He was born March 12, 1942, in Blue Ball, a son of the late James D. and Kathryn (Newswanger) Hurst. On March 25, 1961, in Schoeneck, he married the former Mary Kathryn Martin who survives.

David was a member of the Buffalo Mennonite Church, Lewisburg, where he served as a trustee for 18 years.

He was employed as a mechanic from 1959 to 1974, and then owned and operated a dairy farm until 1988. Later in life, David was a self-employed truck driver.

David enjoyed antique tractors, attending sales, and hunting.

Hurst, John J., 87, of Womelsdorf, PA, went home to be with his Lord on June 18th, 2015. He was the husband of Alma K. (Horst) Hurst who passed away October 5th, 2011. He was born in Elverson, PA, on November 15th, 1927, a son of the late Daniel M. and Hettie Ann Weaver Hurst.

Mr. Hurst owned Hurst General Supply in Danville, PA. and later in life he collected and sold farm toys. He was a member of Schaefferstown Mennonite Church.

Hurst Raymond S., (Pastor) 80, of Rock Rd., Schuylkill Haven, entered Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.

Born on May 11, 1934 in Clay Twp., Ephrata, he was a son of the late Jacob M. and Lydia Sensenig Hurst.

He was a member of the Palo Alto Mennonite Church.

Raymond worked as a building contractor and was one of the founding members of Newhurst Bus Company. One of his greatest joys was being a pastor and being able to provide ministry to several churches in the area.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ruth W. Hurst on Dec. 30, 2012; three brothers, Clarence, John and Paul Hurst and a sister, Arlene High.

Surviving are two sons: Jay and his wife Jean Hurst of Schuylkill Haven and Dale and his wife Gale Hurst of Pine Grove; two daughters: Karen and her husband Paul Riegel of Schuylkill Haven and Kathy Ferguson of Pine Grove; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Noah Hurst of Lititz; two sisters, Eva Groff of Lititz and Mabel Weaver of East Earl; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with his son Dale Hurst officiating. Hurst, Walter M., 75, of Lititz, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital, following a brief illness.

He was born in Farmersville to the late Earl D. and Mary (Martin) Hurst and was the husband of Marlene M. (Zimmerman) Hurst, who were married for 52 years.

He was a member of Meadow Valley Men-nonite Church (Weav-erland Conference). Walter was previously employed as a superintendent for Horst Construction and worked as a farmer until he retired.

He was preceded in death by 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Raymond Hurst.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, at the Midway Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Rd., Lititz. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 9 am, at the Midway Reception Center, with further services at 9:30 am, from the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, 200 Meadow Valley Rd., Ephrata, with Bishop Lester B. Martin, Ministers Elam Ray Martin, Gary L. Zimmerman and Harlan W. Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
