TOPEKA - Mary Raber, 97, of Topeka, died at 2:55 a.m. Monday, May 11, at Millers Merry Manor in LaGrange.
She was born May 22, 1917, in LaGrange County, to Benjamin and Anna (Lehman) Raber.
Surviving are a sister, Saloma Raber of Topeka; a brother, Joni (Fannie Mae) Raber of Middlebury; sister-in-law Lizzie Ann Raber of Baltic, Ohio; nine nieces; and 14 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Abigail Bontrager and Mattie Raber; and four brothers, Andrew, Mose, Abe and infant John Raber.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was a seamstress for 72 years.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, and all day Wednesday, May 13, at Henry Bontrager's home, 616 W. Lake St., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14, also at Henry Bontrager's. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ernest D. Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery in Topeka.

She was born June 25, 1932 in Lancaster County to Nathan (died 1980) and Florence (died 2013) Oberholtzer, Manheim.
On March 15, 1953, she was married to Edwin Redcay. Edwin was killed in an auto accident in August 1994. They were married for 41 years.
Together they had four children, Bob married to Cindy Sell Redcay, Mount Joy, Brenda Strausser, Denver, Sharon, married to Phil Miller, Dayton, Ohio & Jerry, married to Tracey Boley Redcay, New Holland, seven grandchildren and two great grandsons. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary James Strausser.
Also survived by siblings: Nathan Oberholtzer, Jr., Joyce Hoffer, Wilbur Oberholtzer, and Kenneth Oberholtzer.
Darlene was a member of the Goodville Mennonite Church since 1961 where she was active in teaching children's Sunday School Classes for several decades. She was also active in their sewing circle serving as Vice President and President over the years. Darlene was involved in the church's food bank for 13 years.
She cleaned the church for 20 years and Rutt's Kitchens display cabinets for over 20 years.
She worked for Ranck's Restaurant in Morgantown for five years as a dish washer and enjoyed meeting and talking with the customers.
Darlene volunteered at the ReUzit Shop in Morgantown by washing clothes that were donated to the store.
Darlene enjoyed making bags and filling them with goodies to give to family and friends.
She had a small sewing business making quilts, baby comforters, table tops, etc. for many years.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Goodville Mennonite Church with Pastor Bruce Sauder officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. He served as pastor of the Rawley Springs Mennonite Church for 36 years. He also worked as an editor for Christian Light Publications. Paul was a schoolteacher in Lancaster County, Pa., and also at Berea Christian School in Harrisonburg, Va. On June 29, 1968, he married the former Ethel Brubaker, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Reed is survived by his siblings, Harold Reed and wife, Barbara, of Lititz, Pa., Dorcas Danner of New Oxford, Pa., John Reed and wife, Carolyn, of Harrisonburg, Va., and Irene Zimmerman of Denver, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his stepmother, Anna (Weaver) Reed, and two sisters, Anna Mary Reed and Ruth Reed.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Peake Mennonite Church, 8613 War Branch Road, Harrisonburg, Va., with the Rawley Springs Ministry officiating. Burial will follow at Rawley Springs Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at Peake Mennonite Church. He was born in Leola to the late Eli and Anna (Eberly) Reiff and was the husband of the late Catherine (Martin) Reiff, who passed away in 1997. He was married to Nora W. (Zimmerman) Reiff with whom he shared 17 years of marriage.
Ammon was a member of the Millway Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). He was a self-employed dairy farmer and after retirement he worked at Good's Store in East Earl.

ELKHART - Rosemary L. Reschly, 66, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 10, in her home after battling cancer since 2006.
She was born in Goshen on Dec. 1, 1948, to Ralph and Mary (Bollinger) Blough.
On Nov. 10, 1973, she married Rodney Reschly.
He survives along with two sons, Samuel (Jeanna) Reschly of Goshen and Michael (Kathy) Reschly of Boulder, Colo.; four grandchildren, Brock and Alex Reschly, both of Goshen, and Jonah and Zoe Reschly, both of Boulder; and two brothers, Randall L. (Linda) Blough of Eaton, Ohio, and Reggie L. (Lonnie Haley) Blough of Cape Coral, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A lifetime area resident, Rosemary was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church in Elkhart and was a 1967 graduate of Goshen High School.
She worked as an executive assistant at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary from 1988 until her retirement in 2011. She also worked at Oaklawn from 1969 to 1977.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sunnyside Mennonite Church. Pastors Terry Zehr and Melissa Fisher Fast will officiate. Cremation will follow the service at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

She was born in Ephrata and was married to the late John E. Ressler.
She was a lifelong member of Mohler Church of the Brethren and, as a deacon's wife, contributed to many ministries of the church. She was an avid photographer, loved planting flowers, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Kathryn is survived by four children, Linda S. Miller, married to Daniel E. Miller, Jr., Lancaster; Leon J. Ressler, married Lou Ann (Charles) Ressler, Peach Bottom; Kathy A. Hurst, married to Curvin M. Hurst, Lancaster; and Loren R. Ressler, married to Fannie K. (Zimmerman) Ressler, Lititz. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Lois J. Martin married to Galen W. Martin, Ephrata, and an infant son and infant daughter. Her sister, Ruth L. Mull, also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at Mohler Church of the Brethren on Sunday, December 27, 2015. Viewing at 1:30 p.m. Funeral at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Carl L. Brubaker presiding. Burial immediately following at Mohler's Church Cemetery.

Melvin served faithfully in the Oregon Community United Methodist Church as a faithful trustee. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Ordnance Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of AmVets, the NRA and the American Legion Post# 429. Melvin enjoyed deer hunting and collecting toy tractors & cars.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Lettie, are 2 brothers: Elvin Ressler, husband of Jeanne, and Harold Ressler, husband of Helen; and many nieces & nephews.
Melvin was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Elmer, John, Martin, Clarence and Anna Mae Ressler.

GOSHEN - Dennis E. Rheinheimer, 65, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Elkhart Hospice House.
He had been ill since Nov. 19.
He was born Sept. 17, 1950, in Goshen, to Floyd A. and Katie M. (Miller) Rheinheimer.
On March 23, 1974, he married Teresa "Terry" Broach.
She survives along with two daughters, Cristina (Michael) Klotz and Laura (Pedro de Leon) Rheinheimer; two grandchildren, Noah and Liliana Klotz; two sisters, Shirley (Dale) Riegsecker and Linda Young, both of Middlebury; and two brothers, Floyd (Cindy) Rheinheimer and Ron (Kristan) Rheinheimer, both of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Victoria.
A lifelong area resident, Mr. Rheinheimer taught third grade at Harrison Primary Center, South Bend, before retiring in 2009.
He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Middlebury, where he served as a Stephen minister and taught Sunday school. He volunteered at Menno-Hof and served on the board at Amigo Centre in Sturgis, Mich.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and again from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at First Mennonite Church, Middlebury.
A funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the church with Pastor Kent Miller officiating.

DALTON - A. Miriam Rhodes, 84, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at her home in the presence of her family.
She was born near Orrville on April 27, 1931 to the late Benjamin and Martha (Hoover) Good and was united in marriage on June 27, 1953 to Luke C. Rhodes.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years; and was a faithful mother of three sons and six daughters, Kathleen (Norman) Schrock of Patriot, Phyllis (Harold) Weaver of Deloraine, Tasmania, Australia, Carol (Jerry) Neuenschwander of Dalton, Kenneth (Martha) of Fairchild, WI, Mary Beth (Elvin) Neuenschwander of Dalton Luke Jr. (Arlene) of Newberry, IN, Juanita (Brian) Bear of Hopwell, Rachel (Marcus) Bear of Mazeppa, MN and James (Anita) of Carpenter, WY; 66 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Ruth Weaver of Columbiana and Mary Catherine Witmer of Sparta, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons; three great grandchildren; brothers, Willis, Willard, Jason, Heber and Elmer Good; sisters, Myrtle Hoover and Bertha Good.
She accepted Christ in her youth and was a faithful member of the Woodlawn Mennonite Church in Greenwich.
The Rhodes family raised farm produce and attended markets for many years. Mom enjoyed meeting people and had many friends through these contacts.

WOOSTER, Ohio - Eva M. Richard, 92, of Wooster, died Wednesday, Oct. 28.
She married Elam R. Richard on Sept. 5, 1943. He passed away April 5, 1993.
She spent her married life with Elam as a farm housewife raising four children.
She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Pete) Short of Goshen, Ind., James M. (Marcy) Richard of Wooster, Sally (Kent) Schreck of Goshen and Dale Richard of San Francisco; grandchildren Douglas (Lynn) Short, Jonathon (Angie) Short, Michael (Molly) Richard, Bradley (Cara) Richard, Anne (Ryan) Brown, Rebecca Schreck and Katherine (David) Teall; and 14 great-grandchildren.

GOSHEN - Irene I. Riegsecker, 90, passed away March 19 at her home.
She was born to William and Anna (Schwartzentruber) Neuhauser on Feb. 20, 1925, in Pigeon, Mich.
On Aug. 23, 1969, she married Levi Riegsecker in Flint, Mich. He died Aug. 24, 1971.
She is survived by her sister, Vera Kindy, of Midland, Mich.; eight nieces and nephews, Carol (Tom) Veatch of Wichita, Kan., Rose (Ken) Vasquez of Chino, Calif., Melody Carlock of Fort Wayne, James (Shelly) Kindy, Jerry (Dawn) Kindy and Kevin (Kathy Jo) Kindy, all of Midland, Joseph (Patricia M.) Baer of Alden, N.Y., and David (Patricia A.) Baer of Goshen; 26 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 13 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She is also survived by four step-children, Joyce (Vernon) Craven-Themm of Middlebury, Keith Riegsecker of Goshen, Verl (Pat) Riegsecker of Indianapolis and Dennis (Jean) Riegsecker of Lincoln, Neb.; 14 step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Levi; a brother, John Neuhauser; a sister, Catherine Baer; and nieces Joyce Miller and Twila Baer. Stepsons Marvin and Orval Riegsecker and step-granddaughter Janelle Craven also preceded her in death.
Irene was a member of College Mennonite Church. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked in Flint, Mich., for many years. She was a lifelong member of Mennonite churches in Flint, Sarasota, Fla., and Goshen. She was a special aunt to her nieces and nephews and played an active role throughout their lives. She loved meeting new people and enjoyed traveling. She opened her home to many, including 1-W workers in Flint. Until her death, she was active and had many weekly times that she gathered with friends to play various games and socialize. She will be missed by many.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, in the Koinonia Room of College Mennonite Church, Goshen, where a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
According to Irene's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Riegsecker, Irene I. Neuhauser, 90, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died March 19, 2015 at the same place. She was born February 20, 1925 at Pigeon, Michigan to William and Anna (Schwartzentruber) Neuhauser. On August 23, 1969 she was married to Levi Riegsecker, at Flint, Michigan. He died August 24, 1971.
Surviving are four stepchildren, Joyce (Vernon) Craven-Themm; Keith Riegsecker; Verl (Pat) Riegsecker; and Dennis (Jean) Riegsecker; 14 step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Vera Kindy.
Two stepsons, Marvin Riegsecker and Orval Riegsecker; a step-granddaughter, Janelle Craven; a brother, John Neuhauser; and a sister, Catherine Baer preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held March 28, 2015 at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.

Surviving are children, Ardis (Holmes) Stephenson, Delvin (Lora) Riegsecker, Joetta (Rick) Pugh, Doneta (Bert Magana) Riegsecker, Vonda (Dave) Smith, Curtice, Angie (Jeff) Wyse, Amy (Al) Frey, and Karla (Brett) Hatley, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Arleta Unzicker, Marilyn (Bob) Newsome, Phyllis (Clark) Gerber, and a sister-in-law, Donna Miller.
His siblings, Alta (Harley) Sauder, Bessie (Cornelius) Short, Vesta (Harold) Stamm, Bernice (Charles) McDowell, Alice Miller, Almeda Miller, and Delmar Miller, as well as a brother-in-law, Carl Unzicker preceded her in death.
In her youth she was baptized and was an active member of Central Mennonite Church, Archbold. She was a devoted mother and wife and retired from LaChoy Foods in 1990 after many years of service. Lois loved God and she loved her family. Spending time with them was a priority. She enjoyed gatherings with immediate family as well as time spent with the extended Miller and Riegsecker family members. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing games and having coffee with friends.

She was born May 19, 1915 at Freeman to Jonathan J. J. and Ida (Graber) Preheim. Jonathan was born January 30, 1888 and died April 19, 1977. Ida was born November 16, 1906 and died February 12, 1963.
On February 8, 1945 at Gulfport, Harrison Co., MS she was married to Edward J. Ries, who was born January 20, 1910 and died November 25, 1970.
Surviving are a daughter, Pauline (Lynell) Hofer; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A son Keith, sister, Louise (Edwin) Graber, and brothers Leonard (Gladys) and Clarence (June) Preheim preceded her in death.

In the past as a member of Park View Mennonite Church, he taught Sunday school and he had been a longtime member of Harrisonburg Mennonite Church, where he had been a team leader. Mahlon graduated from Lancaster Business School and from Franklin and Marshall College. He worked for the Lancaster Provident Bookstore as a controller. He later graduated from the Electronic and Computer Programming Institute in Harrisburg, Pa. Mahlon worked for EMC, now EMU, starting their computer program and running it for 10 years. He then owned and operated Dutch Foods. Most recently, he operated a home delivery service with his wife and son.
On June 6, 1959, he married the former Gloria Grace Weaver, who survives. In addition to his wife, Mahlon is survived by a son, Jay Clair Rissler; two daughters, Ruth Ann Rissler Altemus and husband, Jay, and Debra Joy Rissler Layman and husband, Kenny; siblings, Menno Rissler, Elsie Bowman, Vera Rissler, Emma Rissler, Edith Rissler Weaver, Mae Zook, and Isaac Rissler; grandchildren, Nathan and Ben Altemus, Matthew and Jonathan Layman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Aaron Rissler, John Dan Rissler, Raymond Rissler, Lydia Kasbaum, Melvin Rissler and Miriam Rissler.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church with Pastor Mark Keller officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. CROMWELL - Waneta Dawn (Zimmerman) Rodes, 46, of Cromwell, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, in a tragic car accident in Goshen.
She was born May 6, 1969, in Elkhart County, to Arthur and Lois Zimmerman.
She was married to Titus Rodes. Together they were the parents of three sons, Austin Rodes of Milford, Houston Rodes of Goshen and Jackson Rodes of Cromwell; and three daughters, Eleaya Rodes of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, Eleacia (Chet) Los of Syracuse and Emily Rodes of Denver, Colo. They survive, along with a grandson, Chester Los; her parents, Arthur and Lois Zimmerman of Nappanee; three brothers; two sisters; and maternal grandparents.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Ramer Mennonite Youth Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Fairview Mennonite Church (C.R. 13 and C.R. 50).

Surviving are children, Kevin and Carol, Sandra Oblick, Merle and Sheryl, Sharon and Delvin Lehman and Donald and Brandi; a stepson Richard and Renee Watkins, 19 grandchildren, 18great-grandchildren.
A sister, Anna Mae Noftsier and brothers, Maurice, Edward and Lloyd Roes preceded him in death.
Raymond enjoyed woodworking, his flower gardens and his family. Mr. Roes was a member of the Lowville Mennonite Church where he was a member of the kitchen committee, helping with funeral meals or where needed within the Mennonite community.

He was a self-employed carpenter and dairy and poultry farmer. In his later years, he also served as a taxi driver for the community. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Bank Mennonite Church, where he served as a janitor for over 30 years. He served in the Civilian Public Service (CPS) for 19 months in Powellsville, Md.
On June 22, 1946, he married Annis Marie Showalter, who survives. Also surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Jay Rohrer and wife, Sallie, of Dayton; foster daughter, Anita Louise Howell Rohrer of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Wilbur M. Rohrer and Israel H. Rohrer; a sister, Orpha M. Wenger; seven grandchildren, Stephanie N. (Rohrer) Dellinger and husband, Calvin, Cheryl E. (Rohrer) Yoder and husband, Michael, Conrad J. Rohrer and wife, Lori (Heatwole), Coleen R. (Rohrer) Yoder and husband, Galen, Allen M. Rohrer, Sharon R. Rohrer and Richard A. Rohrer; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Rohrer was preceded in death by his siblings, John S. Rohrer Jr. and Martha Knicely.

Grace Laverne Roth was born October 24, 1925 on a farm west of Milford, Nebraska to John and Elsie (Eicher) Troyer, the 3rd of 9 children and died peacefully in her sleep - surrounded in love from her family on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Ridgewood Rehab and Care Center in Seward at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 2 days. As a young girl, Grace attended Pilot Knob Country School through the 8th grade, accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at West Fairview Mennonite Church where her father was the minister. For several years, Grace helped her parents and neighbors, as a "Mother's Helper" by assisting them with their newborns and siblings. On September 16, 1945, Grace was united in marriage to Robert R. Roth and to this union five children were born: Diane, Charlotte, Terry, Lonnie and Robert Jr.
Together they lived in Wood River for two years before moving to a farm west of Milford and later to a farm near Beaver Crossing. Grace raised her family and helped Robert on the farm. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed raising flowers and gardening. In her spare time, she liked to play dominos and listen to blue grass music. Grace made many quilts and blankets for her family and also enjoyed doing the finish quilting for friends who brought their projects to her. She spent many hours working at the Et-Cetera shop in Seward. Family was very important to Grace and she loved spending time with them at all family gatherings, getting and giving hugs. She also prayed for family members and enjoyed bringing them to her Lord and Savior.
Grace was a member of Bellwood Mennonite Church, serving her church in many ways including being a Sunday School teacher, working with the sewing circle and in any other capacity needed. She had a wonderful smile and the gift of friendship was given to all.

GOSHEN - Wilma (Stutzman) Roth, 99, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 25, at her daughter's home.
She was born Nov. 12, 1915, in Milford, Neb., to John I. and Mary (Birky) Stutzman.
On Nov. 25, 1936, she married Orie Roth of Wayland, Iowa. He died Sept. 25, 1999.
Mrs. Roth is survived by four children, Dennis (Mary) Roth of Fort Wayne, Sheril (Kenneth) Mullett of Goshen, Rebecca (Ray) Imhoff of Fort Wayne and Rosemary (Mahlon) Yoder of Linn Creek, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven sisters and a brother.
Wilma lived in Wayland all of her married life, where she and Orie farmed and raised their family. She enjoyed being a farmer's wife and raising their family. Along with her family, Wilma loved to tend her vegetable and flower gardens in the summer, and in the winter months she enjoyed reading and creating many quilts for her family. She donated a number of them at several relief sales.
She accepted Christ at 12, and that decision led her into involvement with many church activities in her lifetime, including teaching Sunday school and Bible school. She was involved with, and served as president of, the Women's Missionary and Service Commission and many other volunteer opportunities.
Wilma's quiet and loving spirit was an inspiration to her children, her grandchildren and to the many people she crossed paths with.

A funeral service will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at East Goshen Mennonite Church. Pastor Merle Hostetler and niece Carol Swartzendruber will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery in Wayland.
Memorials may be given to East Goshen Mennonite Church for the Bread of Life Food Pantry.

GOSHEN - Marjorie W. Ruth, 85, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 12, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Beatrice, Neb., to Leo H. and Anna M. (Wiens) Wienss.
On Nov. 20, 1953, she married Paul L. Ruth in Beatrice. He died Dec. 2, 2011.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet (David Krueper) Ruth of Corrales, N.M., and Rita Rupp of Goshen, Ind.; two sons, Douglas Ruth of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Michael (Laura) Ruth of Longmont, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Epp of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Norma Friesen.
Mrs. Ruth moved to Goshen in October 2004 from Akron, Pa., where she was a member of the Akron Mennonite Church. She retired as an administrative assistant from Mennonite Central Committee. She was currently a member of College Mennonite Church. She enjoyed quilting, needlework, music and birds.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in the Gathering Room at College Mennonite Church in Goshen. A 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, memorial service will be conducted at College Mennonite Church. According to Marjorie's wishes, her body will be cremated. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. Her cremated remains will be scattered at College Mennonite Church Memorial Garden.

Surviving are children, Jeffrey Rychener, Kimberly (Walter) Turczyn, Jon (Meredith) Rychener, and Jason (Michelle) Rychener; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and siblings, Glenn (Mabel Ann) Kauffman; Donald (Janet) Kauffman; and Mary (Ron) Short.
preceded him/her in death.
Memorial services were held November 25, 2015 at Zion Mennonite Church, Archbold, Fulton Co., OH with burial in Pettisville Cemetery, Pettisville, Fulton Co., Ohio.
