Stauffer, Travis Alexander
, born February 2, 1990, in York, Pennsylvania, abruptly and unexpectedly left this temporal world on October 29, 2015, having been ushered into the Eternal Kingdom of His Precious Lord and Savior, with whom Travis not only had a personal relationship but whose light and love he consistently reflected to all he met. Those who had the privilege of Travis' presence on a consistent basis experienced the authenticity of a young man whose love always "showed up:" those whose lives briefly intersected with his life experienced the same; he was never too busy or too tired to lend a listening ear or a needed hand.

He is survived by his loving wife Jena Marie Stauffer, whom he loved with every ounce of his being, meeting His Lord's expectation of loving her as his Lord loves His church; his parents, Daniel and Lizzette (Beauchamp) Stauffer, of Liverpool; his brothers, Tavis Stauffer, and wife Jess, of Mifflintown; and Trevor Stauffer, who resides with his parents; Tony Jacobs of Hanover; Michael Jacobs of Hanover; nieces and nephews: Najae, Nakhaiya, Izrell, Jisselli, Prophet, Zion, Azrael, Makiya, and Teyuanna; and other family members; his father-in-love and mother-in-love, Jeff and Cindy Auker, of Millerstown. His brother-in-love, Ryan, and wife Vicki, of Denver, PA; sister-in-love, Kendra Bowman and husband Aaron of Castle Creek, New York; and his sister-in-love, Christa Barner, and husband Joe, of Millerstown; paternal grandparents, Rosetta and Paul Stauffer of York Springs; grandparents-in-love, John and Alta Auker of Thompsontown and Harry and Judi Kline of Columbia; and close family friend Joanne Kerstetter of Selinsgrove.

He was a 2008 graduate of Sun Tech and a 2009 graduate of Juniata Mennonite School, with an incredible gift for welding, exceeding the expectations of all employers and having been awarded first place in a statewide welding competition. He was a member of a four-wheeler club. He was a gifted fabricator, with an inborne artistic ability. His first passion was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; his second passion was his cherished wife, Jena; his third passion was his family. He loved cars, four-wheeling, snowboarding, mountain biking with his wife, boating, and swimming, pursuing all with a fearless, adventurous spirit. He lived to spend time with his wife, families, and friends. No words can convey how deeply this young man will be missed, but God will keep him in His care until we can all meet again and mend the broken chain of our family. He was employed with Myers Steel Works in Dillsburg.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing on Monday, November 2, 2015 (TODAY) from 5:00-7:00 PM and again on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 10:30AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 AM all from the Richfield Mennonite Church Family Life Center, Route 35, Richfield, PA. Burial will be private. The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc. 9366 Rt. 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills have been entrusted with the arrangemets.

Swarey, Benjamin H.
September 20, 1947 - November 23, 2015

Benjamin H. Swarey was born to Daniel and Rachel Peachey Swarey on September 20, 1947, in Allensville, Pennsylvania. He unexpectedly passed away on November 23, 2015, from a massive heart attack while visiting in his daughter's home in North Dakota. He reached the young age of sixty-eight years. We had planned to enjoy Thanksgiving Day together, but the Lord had a better plan.

Dad's childhood years were spent in Allensville until the age of four when the family moved to a farm in Reedsville, Pennsylvania, which became the family farm. This is where he resided until his death.

Dad grew up in the Amish faith. In his teenage years his family found fellowship with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, and united with the small, young congregation at Belleville, Pennsylvania. Dad, as a young man, answered the call of God, and repenting of his sins, he found forgiveness and peace with God. He was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, by Min. Milton Koehn on February 28, 1968, at the age of twenty years. The faith was precious to him, and even though he encountered struggles in life, he always endeavored to live faithful to the Lord.

He was united in marriage to me, Mary Lois Good, on November 26, 1978, at Kidron, Ohio. Together we shared the joys and sorrows of life just a few days short of thirty-seven years. We were blessed with one son and one daughter.

Dad learned the value of hard work and seemed to thrive on it. He was always full of life and energetic. He was a farmer at heart and really enjoyed his dairy farm for thirty years. After he sold the dairy herd, he still enjoyed farming the land and loading hay on his pickup to sell at the local sale barn and then delivering it to the farmer. He quietly filled his place in the congregation and will be keenly missed. He was a man of few words, yet we knew he loved us by the smile in his eyes and how he cared for us so diligently. A special time in his life was attending the recent Conference and spending time with his daughter and son-in-law. We felt a peace and rest in Dad's spirit, for which we are so thankful. We believe he died in peace with the Lord and look forward to meeting him again someday.

Left to cherish happy memories are his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Beth and Trevon Unruh, Grafton, North Dakota; son, Karlin and Ashley Swarey, Lewistown, Pennsylvania; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: Crist and Vivian, Almena, Wisconsin; Amos and Lawanda, El Dorado, Kansas; two sisters: Naomi Swarey, Reedsville, Pennsylvania; and Rachel and Royce Koehn, Jamesport, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Carol Swarey, Reedsville, Pennsylvania; his wife's family: Judy Good, Kidron, Ohio; Rachel and Dennis Unruh, Versailles, Missouri; Lawrence and Dorothy Good, Center, Colorado; Lena and Luke Troyer, Dalton, Ohio; and Anita and Tim Hochstetler, Faunsdale, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and three brothers-in-law.

Funeral services were held on November 29, 2015, at the Rock Haven Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Belleville, Pennsylvania, with Ministers Stanton Schmidt, Ken Swarey, and Amos Peachey officiating. Burial was in the Rock Haven Cemetery with Min. Stanton Unruh officiating.
