Stauffer, Aaron O.

Aaron O. Stauffer,
70, Denver R. 1, retired fruit grower, died Monday, April 7, [1969] at the Reading Hospital, where he was a patient three months.

He formed the Stauffer Fruit Farm, near Bowmansville, 28 years ago, and although he retired five years ago, he still served as secretary-treasurer of the firm.

Stauffer also was crop reporter for the Pennsylvania Crop and Service Report.

Born in Earl Twp., a son of the late Martin B. & Elizabeth Oberholtzer Stauffer, he was a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, where he had been a Sunday School teacher for 30 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mary G. Musser Stuffer; these children, Katie Harrisburg; Elizabeth, wife of Thurman Burkhart, Denver R. 1; Verna, wife of Henry S. Musser, Graceville, Fla.; Enos M., Villanova; Eva, wife of J. Christian Fox, Denver R. 1; Jack S., Newton, Kans.; Mrs. Mary Jane Gehman, Denver R. 1; Lois M., at home; and Alfred J., Denver R. 1.

Also surviving are 36 grandchildren, one great grandson; 2 sisters, Mary, wife of Elmer Herr, Quarryville; and Mrs. Lizzie Adams, Lititz.

Funeral services will be held from Bowmansville Mennonite Church, on Thursday, at 2 p. m.  Interment will be in Bowmansville Mennite Cemetery,

The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, Pa. is in charge of arrangements.
