1930  I to K

   Kauffman, Elva;

Kauffman, Elva

Elva, daughter of Noah S. and Katie Kauffman, was born near Pettisville, Fulton county. Ohio, November 24th, 1907. Died May 22nd, 1930, at the age of 22 years, 5 months and 28 days.  Elva was a very meek and quiet sufferer for nearly five years, of the after results of an attack of influenza.

She leaves Father and Mother, one , Sister, and six Brothers: Eva, wife of Jacob Reigsecker, Orval, Lawrence, Morris, Claire, Kenneth and Hermon. One Grandmother together with many relatives and friends remain to mourn her early departure. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death. Sister Elva confessed Jesus as her I personal Savior and united with the Amish Mennonite Church when but 13 years old. Christ was her hope and stay until her last breath.

We shall miss our darling daughter,
She has bid us all adieu,
She has gone to dwell in heaven,
And her form is lost to view;
Oh the dear one, how we loved her,
And how hard to give her up,
But an angel came down for her,
And removed her from our flock.
Dearest Elva now is resting,
In that happy land above,
By and by we're going to meet her,
In that land where all is love.

Card Of Thanks We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbors who expressed their sympathy and who in any way assisted us during the long illness, and death, and lent a helping hand during this, our sad bereavement. N. S. Kauffman and Family.
