Five children survive: Zane A. Shirk of Beaver Springs, PA; Cecil R. Shirk of Harrisburg, PA; Lynn D. Shirk of Steelton, PA; Mrs. Ruby Benner, Mechanicsburg, PA and Mrs. Palmer E. (Thema) Haas of McAlisterville, PA. Brother & sisters surviving are: Boyd E. Shirk, Mrs. Josephine Brubaker, Mrs. Ruth Winey, Mrs. Frank (Ella) Musser, and Mrs. Hudson (Phoebe) Brubaker, all of Mifflintown, PA. Seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also are survivors.
Mr. Shirk was retired painter and carpenter. He was a member of Lost Creek Mennonite Church, with services held Nov. 20, 1964 in charge of Bishop Donald Lauver. Internment in Lost Creek Cemetery.
