BEACHY.-
Polly L. (Chupp) Beachy was born Nov. 13, 1906, at Garnett,
Kansas, dau. of Levi I. and Anna (Eash) Chupp died Aug. 19, 1974, near
Arthur, Ill., at the age of 67 yrs., 9 mo. and 6 days. She was a member
of the O.O. Amish Church On Jan. 2, 1930, she was married to Joel M.
Beachy, who died Aug. 5, 1965. On Aug. 17, 1969, she was married to
Enos B. Beachy, who died Sept. 26, 1972. She leaves to mourn her
departure 2 foster children, Joseph C. Bontrager, Centreville, Mich.,
and Mrs. Polly Anna Graber, Edwardsburg. Mich.; 13 grandchildren; 2
step-sons. Melvin E. Beachv, Sugarcreek. Ohio, Emanuel E. Beachy,
Dundee, Ohio; 4 step-daughters, Mrs. Amanda Miller, Beach City. Ohio,
Mrs. Abe (Fannie) Erb. Orrville, Ohio, Mrs. Roman (Iva) Yutzy, Dundee,
Ohio, Lela Fern Beachy, Beach City, Ohio; 12 step-grandchildren; 1
bro-ther, Anson Chupp, Middlebury, Ind.: 2 sisters. Mrs. Sylvanus
(Fannie) Yoder, Mrs. Henry (Sarah) Beachy, both of Ar-thur, Ill.; and
many nieces and nephews. Preceding her were her parents; 1 sister. Mrs.
Abe C. (Gertrude) Gingerich; and 1 brother, Andrew. Services were held
in Melvin A. Gingerich home on Aug. 21, by Min. Amos Miller of Arthur,
and Bishop Jonas N Bontrager of Sugarcreek. Ohio. Burial in Otto
Cemetery south of Arthur.

BONTRAGER.-
Edward A., son of Andrew and Fannie Bontrager, was born Jan. 7,
1897, at Haven, Kans. and died Aug. 27, 1974, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa
City, Ia. at the age of 77 yrs. 7 mo. and 20 days. Death was due to a
ruptured appendix and other complications that set in after being in
hospital for three weeks. He was baptized and united with the O.O.
Amish Church in his youth remaining faithful to the end. He was united
in marriage to Elizabeth Miller on June 8, 1918, in Haven, Kansas. They
moved to Hazelton, Iowa, in 1925. Elizabeth died Oct. 30, 1968. On Dec.
7, 1969, he was united in marriage to Cora Yoder, who survives. They
have resided in Kalona since 1971. Also surviving are 7 children:
William and Mrs. Sam (Fannie) Lehman of Hazelton; Perry of Kalona; Mrs.
Alvin (Sara)Yoder of Hazelton; Joe of Cashton, Wis.; Mrs. Emanuel
(Edna) Helmuth and Ed-ward of Hazelton. Also 7 sisters: Barbara Chupp
of Kalona; Mary Miller and Mattie Gingerich of Clark, Mo.; Anna Yoder
and Fannie Troyer of Hutchinson, Kan.; Edna Yoder of Yoder, Kans.; and
Ida Schrock of Haven, Kans.; 3 brothers: Andrew and David of Haven, and
Enos of Goshen Ind.; besides 46 grandchildren and 10
great--grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, his first wife, 3
sons, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Services were held in the Levi Yoder
home in Kalona by Aden C. Miller and Henry B. Miller on Aug. 28. The
body was then taken to Buchanan County, Iowa, and services held there
the next day and burial there.
