MILLER,-
Maryann, daughter of the late Jonas and Dinah (Beachy) Miller,
was born April 26, 1879, in Holmes Co., Ohio, and died Sept. 29, 1974,
at the home of her son Jesse near Wellman, Iowa, at the age of 95
years, 5 months and 3 days. On Feb. 4, 1902, she was united in marriage
to Oba J. Miller in Holmes County, Ohio. They made their home near
Goshen, Ind., until moving to the Kalona, Iowa, area in 1925. Oba
passed away May 14, 1957. She then married Joe J. Miller, Mar. 15,
1955, near Kalona. Joe passed away in 1965. They moved north of
Wellman in 1967. She was a faithful member of the O.O.A. church. She is
survived by seven children: Ora O. of Middlebury, Ind.; Mrs. Omar F.
(Laura) Miller, Mrs. C. Jay (Dinah) Miller, Mrs. Paul (Viola)
Gingerich, all of Kalona, Iowa; Ira O. of White Pigeon, Mich.; Mrs. Ray
(Anna May) Beachy of Kalona; and Jesse of Wellman, Iowa; 48
grandchildren, 114 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren;
and seven step-children. She was preceded in death by her parents, both
husbands, one son Jonas, three infant sons, six grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren, six brothers: Eli, Peter, Noah, Levi, Jonas and
Joseph; and five sisters: Katie, Susanna, Sarah, Anna and Emma.
Services were held in the Jeff Ropp home by Bishops Truman Miller and
Glen Bender in the large house and Bishop Enos Swartzentruber and
Min-ister Sam Mast in the small house. Burial in Peter Miller Cemetery
northeast of Kalona.

MILLER-
Samuel L., son of Lafayette and Esther (Beachy) Miller was
born Nov. 3, 1892 near Grantsville, Md., and died in his home near
Kokomo, Ind., on Oct. 7, 1974, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 3
days. On Sept. 23, 1926, he was united in marriage to, Leah Helmuth who
survives. To this union were born 5 daughters and 2 sons, as follows:
Mrs. Tobias (Mary) Miller, Mrs. Jacob (Tillie) Graber, John and Esther
at home, and Alvin, all of R. 4, Kokomo, Ind., and Mrs. Arthur (Sarah,)
Graber of Greentown. Ind. Also, surviving are one brother Noah of Plain
City, Ohio, and 18 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren. His parents
and one infant daughter preceded him in death. Services were held in
the Mose Bontrager residence by Min. Alvin T. Miller of Kalona, Iowa,
and Bishop Jonas J. Beachy of Riverside, Iowa. Burial in Christner
Cemetery northeast of Kokomo.
