Katie M. Diener;
OTTO.-
Katie M. (Diener) Otto, daughter of Menno A. and Barbara
(Gingerich) Diener of Arthur, Ill., was born June 4, 1925, near Arthur,
and died Nov. 1, 1974, at Springfield Memorial Hospital Burn Center,
caused by burns received a week earlier in a gas explosion at home. Her
age was 49 years, 4 months and 27 days. On Oct. 17, 19 ?*, she was
married to Amos D. Otto of Lovington, Ill., who survives; also 4 sons
and 2 daughters, Lewis Eugene, of Lovington, Ill., Mrs. Harvey (Mary)
Chupp of Arthur, Edna Mae, Daniel Ray, David Lynn and Paul Joseph at
home, and 4 grandchildren; also her parents, 4 brothers, Enos and Ben
of Arthur, Joe of Low Point, Ill., Levi of Lovington, 2 sisters, Mrs.
Albert (Lena) Mullet, Milford, Ind., Mrs. Ervin (Mary) Miller,
Sullivan, Ill. Services were held in the home Nov. 4, 1974, by Mins.
Samuel Zook and Dannie Diener, both of Lancaster County, Pa. ln small
house by Min. Isaac Diener of Lancaster, and Bish. Chris Kauffman of
Mil-ton, Iowa. Burial in Otto Cemetery near Arthur, Ill.
