OTTO. --
Eli M., son of Milton and Lydia (Schrock) Otto, was born July
18, 1888, and died Mar. 18, 1976, at the age of 87 yr. 8 mo. On Dec 6,
1910, he was married to Fannie C. Gingerich, who died Feb. 11, 1944. On
Feb. 26, 1946, he was married to Fannie (Diener) Otto, who survives.
Also surviving are 4 sons and 3 daughters: Jacob, Humboldt, III.;
Chriss, Sullivan, Ill.; Milton, Arcola, Ill.; John, Arthur, Ill.; Mrs.
Levi H. (Lydia) Miller, Mrs. Joe D. (Amanda) Yoder, both of Arcola; and
Mrs. Chriss A. (Mattie) Helmuth, of Arthur; also 4 step-sons and 5
stepdaughters: Obed Otto of Petoskey, Mich; Andrew Otto, Nappanee,
Ind.; Otis Otto, Tuscola, Ill.; Robert Otto, Victorville, Calif.; Mrs.
Eli C. (Lydia) Gingerich of Tuscola, Ill.; Mrs. Lewis A. (Eliza)
Schrock, Lovington, Ill.; Mrs. Ben A. (Bar-bara) Miller, Mrs. Willard
E. (Verna) Yoder, Mrs. Levi J. (Katie Ann) Schrock, all of Arthur; 1
brother Menno, Curtiss, Wis.; 45 grandchildren, 102
great-grandchildren, 37 stepgrandchildren and 37
stepgreat-grandchildren. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren, 5 brothers
and 3 sisters. Services were held Mar. 21, 1976, in the home of his
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Levi H. Miller. Burial in Yoder Cemetery
southeast of Arthur, Ill.

OTTO.
- Tillie Mae, daughter of Jonas D. and Lydia (Brenneman) Otto,
was born Dec. 3, 1899, in Johnson County, Iowa, and died April 2, 1976,
at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 29 days. She lived her entire life
on the farm where she was born. In her youth she united with the O. O.
Amish Church and remained faithful to the end. She leaves to mourn her
departure one brother and 3 sisters: Daniel of Nappanee, Ind.; Mary,
whom she cared for, and shared the home since Mother passed away; Mrs.
Abe (Alta) Kauffman and Mrs. Henry M. (Amy) Miller both of Kalona,
Iowa; 31 nieces and nephews, also great and great--great-nieces and
nephews. Her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death;
Emanuel, Milton, Mrs. Sam G. (Lizzie) Hochstedler, and Mrs. Joe B.
(Cora) Miller. She became ill with cancer the first of the year, but
bore the suffering patiently to the end. Funeral services were held
Monday, April 5, at the home, by Lester B. Miller and Bishop Truman
Miller, and in the small house by Lester Coblentz and Alvin T. Miller.
Burial in the Gingerich Cemetery north of Kalona.
