JANTZI, Noah;
JANTZI.-
Noah, son of the late John B. and Magdalena (Wagler) Jantzi, was
born July 17, 1895, in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Can., and died in his home in
Wellesley, Ont., Aug. 19, 1979, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 2
days. In his youth he was baptized upon his confession of faith in
Jesus Christ and became a member of the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite
Congrega-tion. On Jan. 18, 1917, he was united in marriage to Katherine
Zehr who predeceased on Apr. 11, 1927. To this union was born 1
daughter, Mrs. Elmer N. (Elmina) Jantzi, who survives. On Jan. 5, 1928,
he was married to Magdalena Lichty, who predeceased him May 2, 1956. To
this union was born 1 son and 3 daughters, Aaron L., Wellesley; Mrs.
Aaron N. (Katie) Jantzi , Brunner; Mrs. Amos (Nancy) Martin, Lucknow,
Ont.; and Mrs. Nicholas (Emma) Gerber, Wellesley; who survive. On June
6, 1957, he married Mary Gascho, who sur-vives. Also surviving are 18
grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, John, Millbank; and 2
sisters, Lydia, widow of the late Jacob Albecht, and Sarah, widow of
the late Enoch Horscht. He was also pre-deceased by 1 granddaughter, 3
brothers, and 6 sisters. Services were held on Aug. 22, at the Cedar
Grove Amish Mennonite Church by Bishop Arthur Gerber and Min. Mahlon
Gerber. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
