Lloyd V. Nofziger, 88, Wauseon,
died Tuesday, Aug 10, 1999, at Fulton Manor Nursing Home, Wauseon, died
Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999, at Fulton Manor Nursing Home, Wauseon,
following
complications from a fractured hip and Parkinson's disease.
Born Oct. 25, 1910, near Wauseon, he
was a son of Jacob and Caroline (Burkholder) Nofziger, and married Ilva
Beck on
Feb 10, 1931, who survives. A lifelong
resident of the Wauseon area, he farmed until 1988, and moved to
Pioneer
Estates, Pettisville, in 1991. He was a
member of the West
Clinton Mennonite Church
near Pettisville,
where he was on the building committee in 1967, and served on church
council
and as a trustee.
Surviving are his wife, Ilva; and five
sons, Richard (Genevieve) Nofziger, Archbold; Merrill, (Marcile)
Nofziger,
Wauseon; Ronald (Marlene) Nofziger, Archbold; Dorin (Ilene) Nofziger,
Wauseon;
and Jerry (Sharon) Nofziger, Goshen, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. George
(Cheryl)
Karagiorge, Wauseon; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four
step-grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; seven
step-great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roy Nofziger, Archbold.
Memorial services were Saturday, 11
a.m., at West
Clinton Mennonite Church,
near
Pettisville. James Roynon was the
officiating pastor. Burial in Pettisville Cemetery preceded the service.

Zela M. Nofziger, 94,
Archbold died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold, where
she
resided since Aug. 1, 1991.
Born Sept. 25, 1905, near Stryker, she
was a daughter of Peter and Barbara (Wyse) Graber.
She married Jesse (Jack) Nofziger on June 26,
1930, and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1989.
She lived in the Wauseon area until moving to
Archbold in 1962, and was a homemaker.
She and her husband were instrumental in church planting at
Springfield
Chapel, Holland, Ohio.
She was a member of Zion Mennonite
Church,
Archbold.
Surviving are one son, David (Ruby)
Nofziger, Stillwater, Okla.; five daughters, Mrs. Dale E. (Patty)
Short,
Archbold; Mrs. Don (Mary) Chelgren, Federal Way, Wash.; Mrs. Richard
(Norma)
Camp, Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. Dean (Janeth) Nofziger, and Mrs. Jim
(Mona)
Sauder, Wauseon; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are today, Wednesday,
4 p.m. at the Zion
Mennonite Church
from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. today, Wednesday.
