Halteman, Willis A. Sr.
, 75, of Carlisle, PA, died March 10, 2003, He was born April 19, 1927, in Franconia Twp., PA to Melvin and Carrie (Alderfer) Halteman.  He was married to Gladys I. (Wadel) Halteman for 55 years,

A pastor for 39 years, he served both the Stoughstown Mennonite Church, Newville, PA and the Blue Ridge Mennonite Church, Carlisle, PA.

Survived by his wife; seven sons, Alvin Halteman and Edwin Halteman, both of Carlisle, PA; Nelson Halteman of Mapleton Depot, PA; Willis Halteman Jr. of Kalona, Iowa; Dale Halteman of Sligo, PA; and Dan Halteman and Nevin Halteman, both of Newville, PA; six daughters, Rachel Weaver of Leetonia, Ohio; Esther Reinford of Mt. Holly Springs, PA; Janie Wile of Shippensburg, PA; Leah Horst of Columbiana, Ohio; Sara Mullet of New Bethlehem, PA; and Lois Marie Witmer of Carlisle, PA; a brother, Melvin Halteman of Newburg, PA; three sisters, Edna Reinford of Schwenksville, PA; Ruth Mack of Elysburg, PA;  and Miriam Halteman of Souderton, PA; 74 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were March 14, 2003 in Calvary Mennonite Church,  Chambersburg, PA, with Lamar Sensenig, Jay A. Martin, Steve Ebersole and Harry Neuenschwander officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Mennonite Church Cemetery, Newville, Dickinson Twp, Cumberland Co., PA.

HARBOLD, Aaron H.

Born: 1-4-1915, Dober, York Co., Pa. Died: 1-26-2003, York, Pa.

Husband of: Alma E. Graybill Harbold (2-5-1921/1-1987/SS# 211-18-6980).  Son of: Late Wilson and Carrie Hershey Harbold.

Survivors: Daughters, Brenda L. (Clark E.) Derr of Columbia, Pa., and Cheryl K. )B. Earl) Esbach of York, Pa. Grandchildren: 6.
Great-grandchildren: 4.

Preceded in death by a sister, Marion Harbold; three brothers, Grant, Elam, and Serite, and a stillborn brother.

Aaron was a member of Blue Rock Mennonite Church, Lancaster, Pa. He enjoyed church activities and also gardening. He owened the former A.H. Harbold Radiator Shop in Mountville, Pa. until the time he retired in 1987.

Services: Blue Rock Mennonite Church,, Blue Rock Rd., Rt. 999, Lancaster, Pa. on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. David N. Wadel, Bro. Glenn M. Sensenig, Bro. Daryl L. Bair, and Bro. Mervin E. Martin, officiating.  Interment in adjoining cemetery.

HAVERSTICK, Lisa D

Born: 11-12-1968, Lancaster, Pa. Died: 5-11-2003, Baltimore, Md.

Daughter of: James K. and Miriam Newcomer Haverstick, who survive.

Survivors: A brother, Douglas S. (Dixie Cross) Haverstick of Lititz, Pa. Paternal grandparents, H. Chester and Laura Haverstick of Lancaster, Pa.

Lisa worked for Medical Associates from 1998 until her illness.  From  1991-1998 she worked in Orthopedic Unit of Lancaster General Hosp.
She was a member of East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church where she was a fellowship commission leader.

Services: East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, 432 East Chestnut Street, Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron W. Adams officiating.  Burial: Millersville Mennonite Cem., Millersville, Pa.

Heatwole, M. Simeon,
87, of Dayton, VA, died Oct. 30, 2003, at the home of a son. Mr. Heatwole was born on April 5, 1916, in Rockingham Co., VA to Melvin Jasper and Mollie Coffman Heatwole. He was a deacon and minister in Bank and Bethany Congregations of the Southeastern Mennonite Conference and was a member of the Bethany Mennonite Church. On June 6, 1945, he married Ruth Hege who died Feb. 17, 1994.

Surviving are four sons, Mahlon Heatwole and wife Colleen, Burton, Mich.; Owen Heatwole and wife Grace, Lakeland, Fla.; Gerald Heatwole and wife Anita, McGaheysville; Clair Heatwole and wife Dianne, Bridgewater; a daughter, Lucinda Schrock and husband Allen, Hillsboro, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Susan Heatwole Martin, widow of the late Steven Heatwole his son. Three sisters, Lora Heatwole and Nancy Heatwole both of Harrisonburg; Esther Knicely, Mount Crawford; 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Hege Heatwole and son Steven who died July 11, 1991

Funeral service was Nov 2, 2003 Bank Mennonite Church, conducted by Eldwin Campbell, John Paul Campbell, Keith Crider and David F. Showalter. Burial follow at the church cemetery.

Hege, Jay E.
49, of 19962 Great Cove Road, McConnellsburg, PA, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at home from a Farm Accident.
Born April 3, 1954, in Mechanicsburg, PA,  he was the son of Betty L. Hertzler Hege, of Shippensburg, PA and the late Enos H. Hege.
He attended Mt. View Mennonite Church, McConnellsburg, PA., He was a dairy farmer.
On March 8, 1974, he married Aletha Mae Hege.
Besides his mother and his wife, surviving are four sons, Lamar J. and Glenn J., both of Olar, SC and Nathaniel J. and Nevin J., both of McConnellsburg, PA; daughters, Wanda J. (Mrs. Lynn) Straite of Tylertown, MS., Yvonne J. of Dublin, GA., Lisa J. and Ruby J., both of Maryland, and Carla J., Rachel J., Elaine J., and Sarah J., all of McConnellsburg, PA; three grandchildren; four sisters, Jean L. Hege of Shippensburg, PA, Carol A. Hostetter of Spring Run,PA,  Dena R. Skrivseth of Olar, SC and Lanell B. Kropf of Wickenburg, AZ; and three brothers, Daniel L. and Gary M., both of Olar, SC, and Arlin D. of Shippensburg, PA.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Olive Mennonite Church, Maugansville, Md., with Bishop Glenn Martin officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Mennonite Church Cemetery, Maugansville, MD.
Visitors may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 9 p.m., in Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., 875 Lincoln Way East, McConnellsburg, PA and one hour before the service Tuesday in the church.

Dairyman dies of an injury in farm mishap.
McCONNELLSBURG, PA -- A dairyman died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday in a farming accident on his farm just south of McConnellsburg. Jay Enos Hege of 19962 Great Cove Road in Ayr Township suffered a head injury, according to Pennsylvania State Police, McConnellsburg. PA. He was 49.

Preceded in death by brothers, Mark and Paul Hershey, and sisters, Phoebe Hershey, Naomi Hanson and Martha Helmuth.

He was a member of Mechanic Grove Mennonite Church, Quarryville, Pa.  He was a retired farmer.

Services: Memorial service atMechanic Grove Mennonite Church, Church Road, Quarryville, Pa. on June 30, 2003, at 7 p.m.  Burial was in adjoining cemetery.

Holdeman, Donna Belle Gunden

Jan. 18, 1927-Feb. 27, 2003

CUMMING, Ga. - Friends of Donna Belle Holdeman, 76, of 131 Hickory Trail, formerly of Elkhart, may call for two hours before the 2 p.m. service Tuesday at Elkhart's Belmont Mennonite Church. The Rev. Duane Beck will officiate, and interment will follow at Rice Cemetery's Memories Mausoleum. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Holdeman died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 27, 2003) at Haven House in Atlanta.

She was born Jan. 18, 1927, in Williams County, Ohio, to William and Naomi (Grieser) Gunden.

She married Frank Holdeman on March 22, 1958, in Elkhart. He survives, along with two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Debra) Cheek of Cumming and Mrs. Frank (Kimberly) Fling of Pinellas Park, Fla.; a son, Greg (Stacy) Holdeman of Lowell, Ind.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Darlene) Ropp of Watkinsville, Ga. and Mrs. Rich (Treva) Ritthaler of Groveland, Ill.; and a brother, William (Nell) Gunden Jr., of Harrison, Ark.

A son, Bradley Holdeman, and a brother, Marlin Gunden, are deceased.

Mrs. Holdeman was a homemaker and a member of Midway Community Church in Cumming. She was a former member of Belmont Mennonite Church.

Hollinger, Edna Musser
, 86, of Ephrata, PA formerly of New Holland and Fivepointville, died July 26, 2003 at Fairmount Homes. She was born in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster Co., PA to Noah and Susanna (Weber) Musser. Her husband, Lester Hollinger preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church, East Earl, PA. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fivepointville Fire Company.

Surviving is a son, Lamar E. married to Ruth Ann (Weber) Hollinger, Myerstown, PA and a daughter, Fern E. married to John H. Martin, Jr., Gordonville, PA; eight granddaughters and 19 great-grandchildren. Also a sister, Lucy Rutt, Ephrata, PA; two brothers: Roman married to Anna (Martin) Musser, Lititz, PA and Harvey married to Alverta (Pfautz) Musser, Reinholds, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, a sister, Edith Martin.

Funeral service was July 28, 2003 at the Weaverland Mennonite Church with the Bishop C. Kenneth Martin and the Rev. Leon Hurst officiating. Interment in the Weaverland mennonite cemetery, East Earl, PA.

Mary and her husband had meat stands in Philadelphia markets and they founded Hollinger Meats, West Lemon and Mulberry St., in Lancaster, Pa.
She was a member of Rohrerstown Mennonite Church and participated in  the sewing circle.

Services: Chapel of Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, Pa. on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David L. Weaver and Pastor Levi J. Ziegler officiating.  Interment in Rohrerstown Mennonite Church Cem., Rohrerstown, Pa.

Hunt, Robert S., Sr.
, 67, of Reedsville, PA died July 5, 2003, at his residence. Born Feb. 27, 1936, in Granville, to Russell W. and Erma E. (Confer) Hunt. His wife, Kay Marie (Hurlburt) Hunt, died April 17, 2001. He attended Barrville Mennonite Church Reedsville., PA He was a retired Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are: a son, Dale Alan Hunt, Ferguson Valley; five siblings, William H. Hunt, McVeytown, Esther Walters, Lewistown, Betty Pandel, Burnham, Mary Carolus, Lewistown, and Fern Steele, Jr., Granville; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kay and a son, Robert S. Hunt, Jr., on Jan. 1, 2002; two brothers, Roy Hunt and Russell Hunt; and a sister, Katherine Miller.

Funeral service was July 8, 2003 at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, PA with Rev. Gerald Peachey officiating. Interment was in Salem Cemetery, Siglerville, PA
