Thomas, Twila Yoder, 75, of Kidron, OH died December 7, 2005 at Kidron, OH  following a period of declining health.  She was born March 17, 1930 at Hollsopple, PA to Ammon & Elda (Kaufman) Yoder.  On July 11, 1953 she was married to Maynard W.Thomas, who survives.

Surviving are a daughter, Esther Tafoya and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are brothers and sisters: Noah Ernest (Alma) Yoder; Dorothy Shetler; Paul (Shirley) Yoder; Bernice (Lowell) Alwine; Emma Mae (Ernest) Alwine; Marlin (Doris) Yoder; Erma Kaufman,; and Merle (Janet) Yoder.

The funeral was held December 12, 2005 at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, Kidron, OH with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Troyer, Francis C.
Sept. 26, 1915 - Aug. 10, 2005

GOSHEN - Francis C. Troyer, 89, of 1616 Magnolia Court, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 10, 2005) at Goshen General Hospital.

He was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Shipshewana, to Jerry C. and Lizzie (Mishler) Troyer. On Dec. 20, 1942, in Nappanee, he married Shirley Holaway.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James Troyer; and four sisters, Inez Hostetler, Dorothy Hershberger, Rachelle Klawitter and Genevieve Northage.

Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Meetinghouse at Greencroft in Goshen and hour and a half before the 2:30 p.m. Sunday service at Prairie Street Mennonite Church, Elkhart. The Rev. Art Janz will officiate. Family graveside services will be at a later date in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.

A lifetime area resident, Mr. Troyer was a teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School and a physical science and biology teacher at Elkhart High School. His career spanned 33 years before he retired in 1979. He graduated from Shipshewana High School in 1933, Goshen College in 1937 and the University of Colorado in 1963.

A member of Prairie Street Mennonite Church, he was involved in developing Mennonite youth camps in the Indiana and Michigan conference. He served as a conscientious objector during World War II. His interests included ecology and promotion of educational experiences for young people. Following his retirement, he was manager of Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center for Goshen College. He also tutored many homebound students in science and health.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Francis C. Troyer Scholarship Fund at Goshen College or Mennonite Central Committee.

Troyer, Mae Hershberger
, 87, of Walnut Creek, OH, died December 18, 2005.  She was born August 18, 1918 to Eli V. & Lizzie Ann (Miller) Hershberger.  She was married to Raymond Troyer, who survives.

Surviving are: daughter, Mary Hawthorne; daughter, Ada Yoder; son, Marvin "Red" Troyer; son, Henry Troyer; son, Raymond Troyer Jr.; son, Charles "Chuck" Troyer; 11 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held December 21, 2005at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church,  Walnut Creek, OH.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Voth, Tena A., 95, of Goessel, Kansas died Sept 21, 2005.  She was born to Jacob & Sara (Balzer) Enns. 
She was married to Jacob Voth who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Joyce Stuart, Vera Davis, and Carol Hoffer, 7 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held September 24, 2005 at Grace Mennonite Church, Whitewater, Kansas.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.
