, 99, of Orrville died December 10, 2008 at Orrville, Ohio after a long period of declining health.  She was born June 22, 1909 in Lancaster County, PA to Reuben and Mary (Yoder) Harshbarger and married to David Markley, who is deceased.

Memorial services were held December 13, 2008 at Gresser Funeral Home, Orrville, Ohio with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville, Ohio.

Marks, Lowell R.,
91, of Goshen died July 2, 2008 at Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN.  He was born March 9, 1918 at Wakarusa, Elkhart County, IN  to William Edward and Edith (Hunsberger) Marks.  On April 17, 1938 at the home of Silas Weldy he was married to Lois F. Weldy, who died September 26, 2000.

Surviving are children, Naomi (Larry) Otto; Ray Marks; Terry (Ann) Marks; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a sister, Grace (George) Davidhizar; a sister, Lois Hahn; and a sister, Leona (Kenneth) Eckhart.

His parents, a daughter, Nila Jean Marks, a grandson, Matthew Marks, and siblings, Ethel Hahn, Ruth Davidhizar, Joan Marks, Clyde Marks, Willis Marks, and Donald Marks preceded him in death.

Mr. Marks was a 1935 graduate of Wakarusa High School and a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church.  He was a truck driver and did small-engine repair.

Memorial services were held July 5, 2008 at North Goshen Mennonite Church, Goshen IN with burial in Olive (East) Cemetery, Elkhart Co., IN.

Marner, Eunice Lenore Reber
, 93, of Wellman died November 2, 2008 at Wellman, Washington County, Iowa.  She was born July 3, 1915 at LaJunta, Colorado.  On December 1, 1935 at Kalona, Washington County, Iowa she was married to Ora Marner, who was born June 16, 1912 and survives.

Surviving are children, James and Charleen Marner, Merle and Loris Miller, 8 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Virgil Reber, Walter Reber, and William Reber and a sister, Mary Delila Reber preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held November 6, 2008 at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, Kalona, Johnson County, Iowa with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Marner, Walther Francis,
97, of Denver, CO died April 21, 2008 at Glendale, Arizonia.  He was born March 5, 1911 in Johnson County, Iowa to Gideon and Fannie (Miller) Marner.  On December 24, 1938 he was married to Amelia "Jo" Kathryn Troyer, who was born July 6, 1919 and died March 20, 2004.

Surviving are children Gary & Sharon Marner, Lowell & Luanne Marner, Ron & Kay Moser, Randy & Linda Marner, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held April 26, 2008  at Glenncroft, Glendale, Arizona with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.

Martin, Aaron G.
, 90, of Ephrata, entered into rest at his residence on Saturday, May 31, 2008.

Born in Ephrata Township on January 2, 1918, he was a son of the late Soloman W. and Susanna (Groff) Martin. He was married to the late Lena Z. (Burkholder) Martin for 58 years. She preceded him in death in 1999.

A farmer, he was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Aaron is survived by four sons: Lawrence, husband of Mary (Nolt) Martin of Ephrata, Aaron, husband of Esther (Weaver) Martin of Mohnton, Harold, husband of Erma (Garman) Martin of Shiloh, OH, and Nelson, husband of Lucy (Hoover) Martin of Ephrata; four daughters: Lydia Martin of Ephrata, Edna Fox of Shiloh, OH, Lena Mae, wife of Frank Hoover of Ephrata, and Susan, wife of Curvin Zimmerman of Ephrata. He is also survived by two brothers, Elam G., husband of Lilian (Redcay) Martin and Rufus G., husband of Bertha (Rissler) Martin, all of Ephrata, 44 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and his wife, Aaron was preceded in death by 1 great-grandson, 3 sisters, 3 brothers and 1 half-brother.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 4th at the late residence, 325 Mill Road, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held from the late residence at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 5th, with further services at 1:30 PM from the Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, with Bishop Titus H. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Martin, Abram David
, 85, of 3299 Crest View Lane, Harrisonburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mr. Martin was born July 15, 1922, in North Lawrence, Ohio, and was a son of the late Elmer and Bertha Wenger Martin.

He moved to Virginia in 1941, where he was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church.

On Dec. 1, 1948, he married the former Rosella Eva Koogler, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Willard Martin of Harrisonburg and Elmer Martin of Mount Solon; four daughters, Mary Ellen Teter and Erma Beery, both of Dayton, Arlene Reid of Broadway, and Gladys Martin of Harrisonburg; a brother, Lewis Martin of Dayton; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Martin home from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Martin, Alta W. Weaver
, 94, entered into rest at Fairmount Homes Inc., West Earl Township on Sunday, February 17, 2008.

She was born in Earl Twp., a daughter of the late George and Ada Redcay Weaver. She was the widow of Weaver Martin who died 12/18/06.

A homemaker, she was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Surviving are two sons, Harlan W., husband of Frances Sensenig Martin of New Holland and Leroy W., husband of Beulah Rutt Martin of Ephrata; four daughters, Esther W., widow of the late Glenn Stahl of Ephrata, Irene W., wife of Rufus S. Musser of Lititz, Etta W., wife of Amos L. Horst of Lititz, and Laura W., wife of Leonard S. Hurst of Lititz; 30 grandchildren, 116 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a brother, Raymond Weaver of Ephrata.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, three great grandchildren, and a brother, Elam Weaver.

Services will be held at 9:15 on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Wheat Ridge Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata with further services at 10 a.m. at the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Ephrata Township, with Bishop Lester B. Martin and Ministers Elam Ray Martin, Gary Zimmerman and Ray Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemtery. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8:30 PM, Tuesday, February 19th at the Wheat Ridge Chapel at Fairmount Homes.

Martin, Alvin W.
, 85, of 376 S. Churchtown Road, Narvon, formerly of Kutztown, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at his home after a short illness.

Born in East Earl Twp, he was the son of the late Elam K. and Lydia (Weaver) Martin. His wife, Miriam S. (Martin) Martin, died April 6, 1999.

Alvin was a farmer most of his life, retiring in 2000, and a member of the Center Mennonite Church in Kutztown.

Surviving are eight sons, Melvin, married to Leah (Hursh) Martin of Dorchester, WI, Roy, married to Annetta (Kilmer) Martin of Latham, MO, Ralph, married to Pauline (Weaver) Martin of Thorp, WI, Earl, married to Miriam (Martin) Martin of Kutztown, Leon, married to Mabel (Redcay) Martin of Ephrata, Landis, married to Miriam (Zimmerman) Martin of Oley, Ivan, married to Eleanor (Brubaker) Martin of
Myerstown, and Edwin, married to Evelyn (Brubaker) Martin of Myerstown; four daughters, Mildred, married to Ivan Sauder of Shiloh, OH, Alma, married to Ivan Hurst of Withee, WI, Martha, married to Lester Newswanger of Shippensburg, and Anna Mary, married to John Horst, Jr. of Narvon; 81 grandchildren; 108 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ammon Martin of Mifflinburg, and Floyd, married to Mabel (Shirk) Martin of Kansas; and four sisters, Ellen Martin and Lydia

Preceding him in death is a granddaughter; three grandsons; and two brothers, Aaron and Harvey Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 1 pm at the home of Earl Martin, 540 Noble St., Kutztown with further services at 1:30 pm at the Center Mennonite Church, 92 Deysher Road, Kutztown with the Bishop Eli Burkholder, Jr. officiating. Martin, Amos S.
, 80, of 514 Overly's Grove Rd., New Holland, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Hoover) Martin.

Born in Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Israel M. and Lydia M. (Shirk) Martin.

He was a retired farmer and member of the New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Leon married to Marian (Nolt) Martin, East Earl; Elvin married to Mary Ella (Fox) Martin, New Holland; Raymond married to Joanne (Zimmerman) Martin, Ephrata; three daughters: Arlene married to Ernest Z. Eby, Ephrata; Mary married to Earl M. Martin, Mifflinburg; Vera married to Leroy M. Martin, Shunk; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother Melvin S. married to Mary (Burkholder) Martin, Myers-town; and three sisters: Esther married to Enos Weaver, Martindale; Eva married to Titus Oberholtzer, Lititz; and Anna Mae Shirk, Ephrata.

He was preceded in death by a grandson; a brother John S. Martin and two sisters: Lena Oberholtzer and Lucy Martin.

His funeral will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:45 AM at his late home with further services at 12:30 PM at New Holland Mennonite Church with Bishop Ben Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at his late home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Kindly omit flowers. Martin, Anna Cathlene Rohrer
, 87, of 4497 Linhoss Road in Dayton, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born July 31, 1920, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Amos Daniel and Josie Edna Jones Rohrer.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church.

On Feb. 5, 1947, she married Clayton Hoover Martin, who preceded her in death Dec. 14, 1993.

Surviving are two sons, Sanford L. Martin of Bellows Falls, Vt., and Nelson R. Martin of Dayton; three sisters, Naomi Showalter and Lydia Showalter, both of Dayton, and Josie Wenger of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Samuel Rohrer of Dayton and Hubert Rohrer of Harrisonburg; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The Ministers of the church will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Friday at the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Her body was taken to her home, where friends may call at anytime.

Arrangements are by McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

Martin, Anna Wenger
, 93, of Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, formerly of Leola, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 16, 2008.

Born in Voganville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel S. and Anna Wenger Martin. Miss Martin was a member of Groffdale (Frame) Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference, Leola. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Ephrata Community Hospital.

Surviving are: her brother, Samuel W. Martin of Ephrata; sister-in-law, Kathryn Martin of Voganville; seven nieces; eight nephews. She was preceded in death by: three sisters, Elizabeth, Lena and Clara Martin; brother, Eli Martin; and niece, Eva Martin.

The funeral will be held at the Wheat Ridge Chapel of Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 9 a.m. with further services at 9:30 a.m., from the Groffdale (Frame) Mennonite Church, Groffdale Church Rd., Leola, with Bishop Jeremiah Sensenig, Richard Burkholder, Edwin Reiff, and Glenn Martin officiating. , 2, 307 Goods Road, Ephrata, entered into rest on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at his home.

He was born in West Earl Township, a son of Mahlon Z. and Arlene Nolt Martin.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers and a sister, Luke Ray, Laurence N. and Marilyn N. Martin, all at home, maternal grandmother, Etta M. Nolt, Shippensburg, paternal grandfather, Aaron I. Martin, Ephrata, and maternal great grandfather, Paul Z. Burkholder, Ephrata.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Marcus and Mary Jane.

His funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 9AM at the late residence, 307 Goods Rd., Ephrata, with further services at 9:30 at the Conestoga Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, West Earl Twp., with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 12 at the late residence from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Martin, Chester M.


Chester M. Martin, 85, of 5884 Mast Road, Narvon, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 28, 2008 at his home after a brief illness.

Born in Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Elmer J. and Verna (Musser) Martin. He would have been married 59 years on Jan. 7 to Pauline (Martin) Martin.

He was a farmer most of his life retiring in 1985. After retirement he worked as a Carpenter. From 1942-1944 he lived in Paraguay with the family. He was a member of Honey Brook Mennonite Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Fern M., married to LeRoy Allgyer, Jr. of Whittington, IL; five sons, Ralph M., married to Naomi (Groff) Martin of Narvon, Joel M. married to Martha (Huyard) Martin of New Holland, Shelly M. Martin at home, Grant M., married to Judy (Nolt) Martin of Whitewright, TX, and Bruce M., married to Bonita (Snyder) Martin of Narvon; 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four brothers, Stanley M., married to Alta (Hurst) Martin of Ephrata, Lloyd M., married to Lydia (Good) Martin of Gap, Earl M., married to Earla (Burkholder) Martin of Robesonia, and Melvin, married to Joanne (Pierce) Martin of Lititz; and two sisters, Virginia Stauffer of Leola, and Marian married to Walter Shirk of Downing, MO.

Preceding him in death is a granddaughter, Joy M. Allgyer; and five brothers and sisters, Shelly M. Martin, Florence Stauffer, Fred Martin, Vera Shirk, and June Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 2 at 10 am at Honey Brook Mennonite Church, Reservoir Road, Honey Brook, with the Bishop Wilmer Weaver and Duane Martin, Elmer Martin, and Mark Hostetter officiating. Martin, Clayton H.
, 93, of Lancaster, PA died February 24, 2008 at Lancaster, Lancaster County, PA.  He was born at Gordonville, Lancaster County, PA to Jonas and Lydia (Hoover) Martin and was married to Zelma Frey.

Surviving are children, Melissa, married to Keith Frankman, Sidney, married to Shari burkholder Martin, and 4 grandchildren.

Clate was employed by the Redevelopment Authority of Lancaster.  After retirement he enjoyed working in his garden and yard.  He was a member of Akron Mennonite Church where he served on various committees throughout the years.

Memorial services were held February 8, 2008 at Akron Mennonite Church, Akron, Lancaster County, PA.

, 69 of Hagerstown, Md. died August 26, 2008. He was born May 11, 1939 in Edgemont, Washington Co., Md., to John H. and Luella C. (Coss) Martin. He was married to Elva H. (Petre) Martin were married January 30, 1960 in Hagerstown.

A member of Meadow View Mennonite Church near Hagerstown, MD.

Surviving is his wife and four daughters, Grace Martin and Faith Martin both of Hagerstown, Md., Charity Shaull, Cobb, Wisconsin and Hope Diller, Boonsboro, Md.
Four sons, Rufus Martin, Keedysville, Md., Simeon Martin, Greencastle, Pa., Philemon Martin, Eubank, Kentucky and Titus Martin, Smithsburg, Md. Three sisters, Elva Petre, State Line, Pa., Lois Bates, Mt. Hermon, Kentucky, Naomi Strite, Williamsport, Md. One brother, David Martin, Smithsburg, Md. Thirty eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Joy Martin and a sister Martha Halteman. Funeral services was August 30, 2008 at the Meadow View Mennonite Church with burial will be in the Meadow View Mennonite Cemetery Hagerstown, Md.

Surviving are: his wife and daughter, Michelle Jean & Timothy Glick of Oley, PA; son, David Roger & Lisa Martin of Trinidad; granddaughter, Kimberly Martin; four brothers, Henry B. & Alice Martin of Narvon, PA; Samuel B. Born in East Earl Township, he was the son of the late John Z. and Magdalena (Sauder) Martin. He was married to Vera (Zimmerman) Good Martin, having celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this past February 26th.

A farmer, he was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Besides his wife, David is survived by his children: David Lamar, husband of Dolores (Seibel) Martin of Ephrata, Glen Richard, husband of Michele (Martin) Martin of Lititz, Carl Eugene, husband of Anita (Stauffer) Martin of Reinholds, Doris Jean, wife of Lester Martin, Wisconsin, Leonard, husband of Ruth (Martin) Good, of Iowa, and Edward, husband of Joyce (Martin) Good, of Missouri, three brothers, Amos, husband of Barbara Martin of Ephrata, Clayton, husband of
Rachel Martin of Lititz, and Samuel, husband of Ella Martin of Stevens, 33 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Alda (Hackert) Martin in 1966, a daughter, Marion in 1955, and siblings, Christian S. Martin, John S. Martin, Anna S. Hoover and Elisabeth Martin.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, April 13th at the Farm Crest Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 1100 Farm Crest Drive, Ephrata.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Farm Crest Chapel with further services being held at 9:30 AM from the Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference), with Bishop Lester B. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

, 81, of Reamstown, PA died March 26, 2008, at Cocalico Christian Home, Denver, PA. She was born October 5, 1926, in Ephrata, PA to the Aaron W. and Anna (Martin) Zimmerman, She was married to Jonas R. Martin, who died on March 5, 1998. She was a member of Indiantown Mennonite Church, Ephrata, PA.

Survived by a son, J. Edward, husband of Colleen (Nolt), East Earl, PA; a daughter, Gladys M., wife of Galen Rutt (deceased), Stevens, PA; five grandchildren, Renee, wife of Jason Foreman, Chris Martin, Daniel, husband of Sheila Rutt, Laura, wife of Lyle Musser, and Nathan Rutt, seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd, husband of Lena Zimmerman of Missouri, Walter, husband of Esther Zimmerman of Lititz, and Ivan, husband of Irene Zimmerman of Lititz, four sisters, Irene, wife of Ivan Burkholder of Ephrata, PA; Edith, wife of Nikolaus Kampen of Lititz, PA; Anna, wife of John Campbell of Missouri, and Marie, wife of Beryl Moser of Lititz., PA.

, 87, of Myerstown, PA, died November 28, 2008, at Mifflin, PA. He was born January 25, 1921 in Hagerstown, MD, to J. D. Earl and Edna Grace (Cunningham) Martin. He was married to Mary Louise (Shank) Martin for over 57 years.

He was a member of Swatara Mennonite Church, Myerstown, Lebanon Co., PA.

Survived by his children: Gwen, wife of David Witmer, Reamstown, PA; Dennis, married to Jeanne (Hess), of Myerstown, PA; Don, married to Mildred (McGrath), of Mifflin, PA; and Rhoda, wife of Eugene Martin, Ephrata, PA.; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Gehman and Betty Marie Kniss, both of Harrisonburg, VA. 

He was also preceded in death by his wife, an infant daughter and a brother, Donald Martin of Hagerstown, MD.

, 76, of 509 St. Catherine Drive, Quarryville, PA, died early Tuesday morning, April 15, 2008. He is survived by his wife Frances H. (Nolt) Martin to whom he was married 52 years in December 2007.

Born in Churchtown, he was the son of the late Reuben W. and Lena (Martin) Martin.

A retired farmer, he was a member of the Fairmount Mennonite Church, Quarryville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Annetta, married to Elmer Sensenig of Quarryville; Mary Ann, married to Earl Huber of Mohnton; Marlene, married to Roy Weaver of Lebanon; Karen, married to David Newswanger of Parkesburg; Stanley, married to Darlene (Garman) Martin of Quarryville; Rosene, married to Earl Leinbach of Selinsgrove, and Edwin, Jr., married to Kathryn (Martin) Martin of Quarryville; thirty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters: Ella Mae, married to Paul Martin of Lewisburg; Lydia, married to Levi Martin of Mifflinburg; and Laura (wife of the late Paul) Zimmerman of Denver.

He was preceded in death by a stillborn son, a sister Catherine Reiff, and a granddaughter, Amber Leinbach.

His funeral will be held on Friday, April 18, at 1 PM at Little Britain Fellowship Center, 352 Nottingham Rd., Quarryville, with further services at 1:30 PM at Fairmount Mennonite Church, Quarryville, with Bishop Jeremiah Sensenig, Bishop Curvin Zimmerman, Clair Hurst, Edwin Reiff officiating. Born in Earl Township, he was a son of the late Weaver W. and Mary S. (Zimmerman) Martin. He was the husband of Mildred M. (Stauffer) Martin.

A retired farmer and painter, he was a member of Stauffer Mennonite Church, Earl Township.

, 82, of 50 Rose Alley, (Frystown) Myers-town, died Monday, March 3, 2008 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was the wife of the late Norman M. Martin who died in 1989.

She was born March 29, 1925 in West Earl Township, Lancaster Co., a daughter of the late John S. and Lizzie M. Redcay Sauder. She was a member of the Martin's Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference, Womelsdorf.

She is survived by a son, Clair S. Martin, at home; daughters, Janice S. wife of Luke Nolt, Ephrata; Pauline S. wife of Merle Gingrich, Richland; Marie S. wife of Lloyd Zimmerman, New Holland; fourteen grandchildren; two great randchildren; brother, Lester R. Sauder, Ephrata; sister-in-law, Irene H. wife of the late John R. Sauder, Reinholds. She was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond R. Sauder and John R. NAPPANEE -- Elmer Martin, 84, of 68476 C.R. 9, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 14, 2008) in his home.

He was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Elkhart County to Abraham and Mary (Ramer) Martin. On Jan. 14, 1945, he married Maryette Martin.

She survives along with three daughters, Laura Reihl of New Holland, Pa., Elizabeth Martin of Nappanee and Lydia (David) Brubacher of Mount Forrest, Ontario, Canada; five sons, Samuel (Mabel) Martin of New Paris, Enos (Grace) Martin and Warrena Martin, both of Nappanee, Jason (Iva) Martin of Wakarusa and Andrew (Arlene) Martin of Goshen; 20 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ezra, Herman and Irvin Martin, and infants, Noah and Ira Martin; two sisters, Lydia and Esther Martin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Martin was a farmer and member of the Old Order Mennonite Church, Goshen.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at his Nappanee home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Old Order Mennonite Church. The home ministry will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.

Elsie Martin of Landis Homes passed away Friday, September 5th, 2008. Born Feb. 18, 1920 in York County, she was the daughter of the late Enos and Anna Gehman Martin. She moved with her family to Lancaster County as a young teen. She graduated from East Lampeter High School at the age of 16. In 1945, she graduated with an RN degree from the La Junta Mennonite School of Nursing in the State of Colorado. She earned a BS in Nursing Education in Albuquerque, NM. She also earned a Master's in Nursing Education at the University of Pittsburgh with
a focus on Psychology and Mental Health. Over her forty-year teaching career, she taught nursing at the La Junta Mennonite School of Nursing in Colorado, the Prairie View Hospital in Kansas, the University of New Mexico, Lancaster General Hospital, and the University of Pittsburgh.

She was a member of the East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church. Her hobbies included reading, sewing and traveling.

She is survived by: a brother, John of Florida; sisters, Alta Kurtz of CO, Ellen Olmstead and Doris Seldomridge, both of Lancaster; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by: brothers, Sam, Titus, Ivan, Enos, Harry, James and Allan; and sisters, Mary, Ruth, Rhoda and Lois.

Pastors Ron Adams, Sue Conrad, and Glenn Metzler will preside over the memorial service to be held on Saturday, Sept. 20th, at 3:30 p.m. in the West Bethany Chapel at Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA. A time of family visitation will be held a half hour prior to the service. , age 87 of the Mennonite Fellowship Home, Hagerstown, Md. died March 26, 2008 in the home. She was born April 18, 1920 in York Co., PA, to Samuel J. and Maggie S. (Martin) Diller. She was married to Donald H. Martin.

A member of the Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss, Md.   

Surviving is her husband of 67 years; one son, Darrel R. (Husband of Orpha M.) Martin of Hagerstown, Md.; Two daughters, Darlene F. (Wife Of Mylin E.) Horst and Lois S. (Wife of Donald A.) She was a homemaker and a member of Pequea Mennonite Church.

MILL HALL, Pa. - H. Ray Martin, 61, of 11 Ruth Lane, Mill Hall, Pa., passed away, Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Lock Haven Hospital, Lock Haven, Pa.

Born Tuesday, May 6, 1947, in Leitersburg, Md., he was the son of Eli W. Martin and Ada R. Martin of Hagerstown, Md.

He was a self-employed dairy farmer for many years and also a member of the Lock Haven Mennonite Church.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel R. Martin, whom he married on May 6, 1967; two daughters, Gwen F. Risser and husband Eric of Athens, Tenn., Tresa D. Martin of Waynesboro, Ga.; two sons, Brian R. Martin and wife Angela of Mill Hall, Dwight L. Martin and wife Gloria of Waynesboro; sister, Lucille M. Croutch and husband Thomas of Hagerstown; two brothers, Lewis G. Martin and wife Elaine of Waynesboro, and James D. Martin and wife Wilma of Hagerstown; and 16 grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, May 23, 2008, at 10 a.m. from the Yarrowsburg Mennonite Church, 1121 Rohrersville Road, Knoxville, Md., with Pastor Ken Gehman and Pastor Roger Martin officiating.

PINOLA, Pa. - Helen A. Martin, 99 formerly of Pinola, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Menno Haven, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born April 26, 1909, in Shippensburg, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Christian V. and Sara Jane Parks Martin.

Before her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress at the former Henessey's of Chambersburg.

She was an attendee of Rowe Mennonite Church, Pinola.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Chambersburg. The Rev. John R. Horst will officiate. Burial will be in Old Rowe Mennonite Cemetery, near Pinola.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the funeral Wednesday.

Henry H. Martin, 77, of 1394 Hammon Ave., Ephrata, died Monday, September 15, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Goodville, he was the son of the late Isaac and Barbara (Horst) Martin. He celebrated 24 years of marriage on July 20 to Evelyn (Huyett) Martin.

Henry worked for 32 years, retiring in 1988, as supervisor for the former Weaver Poultry in New Holland. For the past 17 years, he had been working in the warehouse as a tow motor operator for Sharp Shopper.

He was a member of the Akron United Zion Church. He enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, especially Richard Petty, traveling, being around family, and playing cards.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Timothy L., married to Clara (Ziegler) Martin of New Holland, and Larry G. Martin of Fort Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren, Crystal, Ashley, and Gregory Martin; several step grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters, Laura, Raymond, Mary, Barbara, Isaac, Paul, Vera, and Edna.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. at the Akron United Zion Church, 31 S. 10th St., Akron with the Reverend Kenneth R. Redcay officiating. , 86, of Narvon, died on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Narvon.

Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late John N. and Mary E. Sauder Martin. He was married three years to Thelma Kreider Martin. His first wife, Barbara G. Smith Martin died in 2001.

Mr. Martin was a farmer, Fuzzydale Farm, most of his life.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Carl E., married to Gloria Stoltzfus Martin of Ephrata, Mervin L. Martin of Turtlepoint, Joyce, married to Tony Robles of Lititz, and Doris, married to Earl Feltenberger of Auburn; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 2 stepsons, Edward and Thomas Martin, and a stepdaughter, Marilyn Siegrist; his brothers, Eli S., married to Mary Hoover Martin of Terre Hill, Aaron, married to Martha Nolt Martin of Narvon, Samuel, married to Ida Stoltzfus Martin, and Annie S., married to Phares Hurst of Narvon.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and David Martin and a sister Lydia Martin.

Irene M. Martin, 84, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, formerly of Bowmansville, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Garden Spot Village.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Peter S. and Lizzie H. (Gehman) Martin. Her husband, John S. Martin, died in 1993.

Irene was a homemaker and a member of the Berean Bible Fellowship Church in Terre Hill. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, gardening and flowers. With her quiet and gentle spirit, she loved her family with an open and tender heart.

Surviving is a son, Carl M., married to Karen Martin of Thetford Center, VT; four grandchildren, Carmen, married to Jonathan Wilmot of NH, Kenton, married to Rebecca Ritter of VA, Clifton, married to Jamie Jennings of NH, and Craig of VT; 2 great-grandchildren, Levi & Esther Wilmot; two brothers, Charles of Garden Spot Village and Wayne married to Mary Martin of Fairmount Homes; and a sister, Ruth Sensenig of Garden Spot Village.

Surviving was his wife are, two daughters, Lynette Frederick of Gaithersburg, Md. and Jeannie Martin of Hagerstown, Md. and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Wilbur Martin and a sister Edna Shank.

A memorial service was March 25, 2008 at the Cedar Grove Mennonite Church, with Pastor Stephen Fretz officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Mennonite cemetery, Greencastle, PA

, 85, of Goshen, IN died March 6, 2008 at the same place.  He was born August 30, 1922 at Hagerstown, MD to Ira and Mary (Eshleman) Martin.  On February 16, 1950 at Croghan, NY he was married to Katherine S. Martin, who survives.

Surviving are children, Carolyn (Gareth) Nissley-Martin; Arlon G. (Sylvia) Martin; John L. (Sue) Martin; Darrell S. (Cynthia) Martin; Wayne D. (Ruth) Martin; and 15 grandchildren.

He was ordained to the ministry at Lowville, NY, in 1952 and was a minister
and chaplain for 38 years.

Memorial services were held March 8, 2008 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen IN.

He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Jacob S. Martin, 84, of New Holland, entered into rest at his residence, on Tuesday evening, December 16, 2008.

He was born in Earl Township, a son of the late Wilson W. and Sarah (Stauffer) Martin. He was the husband of Edith B. (Sensenig) Martin.

He was a member of the Stauffer Mennonite Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Isaac S., husband of Ella M. (Stauffer) Martin of Ephrata, Esther S., wife of David W. Martin of Port Trevorton, Emma S., wife of Raymond M. Martin of  Hutchinson, KS, Mary S., wife of Lowell S. Martin of New Holland, Lloyd S., husband of Kathryn W. (Martin) Martin of Hillsboro, OH, Lizzie S., wife of John B. Gehman of Ephrata, and Ammon S., husband of Christine (Eyrich) Martin of Shillington; 55 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; brothers, Wilson S. Martin and Marvin S. Martin, both of Port Trevorton, and a sister, Sarah Martin of New Holland.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. at the residence, 846 N. Railroad Ave., New Holland. The funeral will be held from the late residence on Saturday, December 20, at 8:30 with further services at 9 AM at the Stauffer Mennonite Church, 28th Division Highway, Earl Twp. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

He was born in West Earl Township, a son of John Daniel and Lena B. Martin Martin.

He was a member of the Stauffer Mennonite Church and worked as a laborer.

Surviving besides his parents are his brothers and sisters, Sylvan M., husband of Verna Stauffer Martin of Ephrata, John Daniel Jr., husband of Mary Martin
Martin of Denver, Kenneth M. Martin, Marilyn M. Martin, Jonas M. Martin, Lucy M. Martin, Anita M. Martin, Allen M. Martin, and Maryann M. Martin, all of Ephrata, and his paternal grandfather, Daniel S., husband of Leah Martin Martin of Denver.

, 8 months, of 14429 Daley Road, Hagerstown, died at Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at her home. Born Nov. 20, 2007, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Michael R. and Melanie S. Martin Martin of Hagerstown.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Marita J. Martin, at home; two brothers, Weston D. Martin and Kendon D. Martin, both at home; maternal grandparents, Truman E. and Cora L. Martin of Hagerstown; paternal grandparents, Darrel R. and Orpha M. Martin of Hagerstown, and paternal great-grandfather, Donald H. Martin of Hagerstown.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Bethany C. Martin, and an infant brother, Royce E. Martin.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss. Ministers Dale Horst, Richard Weber, Steven Martin, Ethan Eby and Deacon Seth Eby will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour before the services Tuesday.

, 82, formerly of Greencastle, PA, died March 8, 2008 at Quincy United Methodist Home, Quincy, PA.  He was born December 26, 1925 in Shippensburg, PA to Irvin D. and Bertha Hunsecker Martin. He was married to Verna Snyder Martin, for 52 years, she died December 1, 2006.

He was a member of Chambersburg Mennonite Church. Prior to entering Quincy United Methodist Home he and his wife attended Salem Ridge Mennonite Church Greencastle, PA.
 
Survived by a daughter, Wanda Spencer, three grandchildren, Kyle Spencer, Kristy Spencer, and Shane Spencer, all of Waynesboro, PA three sisters, Janet Frey of Chambersburg, PA; Ruby Lehman of Florida, and Ruth Martin of Chambersburg, PA and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul J., Harry, Melvin, and Glenn.

Martin, Lester S.
, 78, of Myerstown, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, February 11, 2008. He was the husband of Doris E. Brubaker Martin.

Born in New Holland on February 15, 1929, he was the son of the late Elmer H. and Anna Mary Sauder Martin. He was a member of the Little Mountain Mennonite Church. Lester was ordained minister for the Roedersville Mennonite Congregation of Pine Grove in 1964, and Bishop for the Hammer Creek District of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference in 1966. He later served as Bishop in the Lebanon District of Eastern Pennsylvania Mennonite Church until the time of his death.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James (BettyAnn) Martin of Schuylkill Haven, Jay (Mariann) Martin of Lititz, Dale (Miriam) Martin of Myerstown, Daryl (Judith) Martin of Fredericksburg; daughters, Doris (Duane) Martin of New Holland and Marlene (Jesse) Hursh of Morrisville, VT; brothers, Robert (Mary) Martin of Lebanon and Elmer (Grace) Martin of Leola; sisters, Dorothy wife of the late Simeon Martin of Stevens, Miriam (James) Brubaker of
Mt. Joy and Ruth Ann (Jay ) Zimmerman; 35 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace W. Gehman Martin, a daughter, Janet wife of Larry Weaver of Womelsdorf and a sister, Susan Hershey.

, 93, of 550 Albright Road, Myerstown died Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Fairmount Home, Ephrata. She was the wife of the late Paul S. Martin who died July 1983.

Lizzie was born November 14, 1914 in Earl Township, Lancaster County a daughter of the late Roland and Lizzie Seibel Mellinger.

She was a member of the Myerstown Mennonite Church where she was involved with their sewing circle. She volunteered at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon and Jubilee Ministries.

She is survived by children, Jeremiah M. husband of Naomi Leister Martin, Akron; Evelyn M. wife of John Ritchie, Bethel; Clarence M. husband of Arlene Zoll Martin, Lancaster; Paul M. husband of Vernetta Krall Martin, Richland; 21 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister in laws, Sarah Mellinger, Fairmount Home and Mabel Mellinger, Garden Spot Village. Lizzie was the last of twelve children.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma M. Hess; sons, Leroy M. Martin and Raymond M. Martin.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in the Myerstown Mennonite Church, 624 N. College St., Myerstown. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8:00 PM and Friday 9 to 10:00 AM both at the church. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers. , 79, of St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada died April 20, 2008 at St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada from leukemia and congestive heart failure.  He was born July 20, 1928 in Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada  to Annanias and Susanna (Steckle) Martin.  On October 22, 1949 at St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada he was married to Gladys Good, who was born December 4, 1928 and died December 6, 2005.

Surviving are children, Ron (Sharon) Martin, Darrel Martin, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four sisters, Florence Wideman, Viola (George) Wallace, Ellen Moyer, and Laura (Milo) Shantz, and a brother, Abner (Shirley) Martin.

A daughter, Sharon Martin and a sister, Almeda Martin preceded him in death.

M. Arlene Martin, 92, of 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, formerly of Denver, died Sunday, December 14, 2008, at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.

Born in Goodville, she was the daughter of the late Israel W. and Leah (Sauder) Brendle. She was married 68 years on June 1 to Erwin G. Martin of Fairmount Homes.

Arlene was a homemaker and a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church. She enjoyed reading and sewing.

Surviving in addition to her husband are six children, Thelma, married to Ron Riley of Port Charlotte, FL, Lucille, married to Larry Groff of Denver, Nevin, married to Ruth (Bowman) Martin of Terre Hill, Gary, married to Jean (Lentz) Martin of East Earl, Sue, married to Michael Eby of Terre Hill, and Lauren, married to Kim (Weaver) Martin of Glenwood Springs, CO; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and five sisters, Pauline Weaver of Nappanee, IN, Ethel Brendle of Lititz, M. , 91, of  Mohnton, PA died February 17, 2008 at home. She was born in Martindale, PA to Reuben B. and Lydia S. (Martin) Weaver. She was married to Edwin G. Martin, he died in 1974. Mabel was member of Alsace Christian Fellowship, Temple, PA.

Surviving are eight children: E. Darrell married to Erla (Zimmerman) Martin, Akron, PA; R. Larry married to Pauline (Zimmerman) Martin, Harrisonburg, VA; Leona married to Ernie Zeiset, Denver, PA; Edith married to Eugene Zimmerman, Reading, PA; Judy married to Leroy Musser, Mohnton, PA; Nevin R. married to Ann R. (Stoltzfus) Martin, Narvon, PA; Galen L. married to Pat A. (Horning) Martin, Terre Hill, PA; Arlan D. married to Arlene S. PORT TREVORTON - Marilyn S. Martin, 1, of Port Trevorton, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at her home.

She was born May 23, 2007, in Danville, a daughter of Earl H. and Betty Ann (Stauffer) Martin, of Port Trevorton.

In addition to her father and mother, there are six brothers and sisters surviving: Kenneth S. Martin, Earl Ray Martin, Margaret Martin, Karen Fay Martin, Jonathan Martin and Marilyn's twin brother, Merlin Martin, all at home. Additional survivors are her paternal grandparents, John B. and Esther Martin, of Liverpool; her maternal grandfather, Earl B. Stauffer, of Port Trevorton; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded by a brother, James Martin, and two sisters, Kathryn Marie Martin and Mary Ann Martin, all in infancy. She also was preceded by her paternal grandmother, Marie (Horst) Martin, and her maternal grandmother, Kathryn (Wenger) Stauffer.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at their home, 174 Hidden View Drive, Port Trevorton, and further services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Riverview Mennonite Church, RR1 Liverpool.  Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

He was born Nov. 5, 1920, in Elkhart County to Elias and Amanda (Ramer) Martin. He married Mabel Martin on Oct. 28, 1943, in Harrison Township. She died March 15, 2005.

Surviving are four daughters, Lucile (Noah) Martin and Edith (Abe) Martin, both of Goshen, Nancy Weaver of Willard, Wis., and Ethel (Ben) Martin of Mifflinburg, Pa; two sons, Paul (Susan) Martin of Wakarusa and David (Martha) Martin of Dayton, Va.; one former daughter-in-law, Emma (James) Martin of Goshen; 37 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul (Francis) Martin and Earl Martin, both of Narvon, Pa., and Warren (Emma) Martin of Leola, Pa.; and one sister, Susie (Daniel) Weaver of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by one son, Levon Martin; one great-grandson, Nathan Martin; three brothers, William, Phares and Wayne Martin; and seven sisters, Florence Shirk, Anna Martin, Martha Ramer, Clara Martin, Lydia Martin, Annetta Weaver and Elsie Weaver.

A prayer service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday at the family home. She was married for 55 years to Elvin H. Martin. They were married on Jan. 17, 1953.

Martha was born in Leacock Twp., the daughter of the late Mahlon H. and Lena N. Weaver.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pequea Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).

Surviving are her husband and six children: Marian, Lititz; Lois (Ben Stoltzfus), Honey Brook; daughter-in-law Vicky Worden Martin widow of son Galen, Philippines; Merle (Erla Martin), Lititz; Elaine (Jay Horst), Scipio Center, NY; Janice (Eugene Burkholder), Richfield; Kevin (Eva Jane Zimmerman), Lititz; 36 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth N. , 98, of 1990 N. Churchtown Road, East Earl, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at her home of natural causes.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Mary Catherine (Erb) Sauder. Her husband, the Reverend Walter H. Martin, died Aug. 29, 1993.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of Lichty Mennonite Church where she was active in the sewing circle. She also enjoyed piecing quilts, quilting, and crocheting.

Preceding her in death are three children, Walter J. Martin, Janice Lou Martin, and Joyce Louise Martin; a grandson, James Lamar Bowman; three great grandchildren, Shane Ryan Snader, Jessica Rae Martin, and Myron Parke Charles; three sisters, Lizzie Sensenig, Annie Martin, and Dora Horning; and eight brothers, Jacob, Samuel, Earl, Harry, Erbie, Charles, Paul and Arthur Sauder.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24 at 2 pm at Weaverland Mennonite Church, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl with the Bishop Nelson Bowman, Clair Long, Eugene Sauder, and Aaron Horst officiating. Martin, Mary H. Brubaker
, 84, of Ephrata, entered into rest at her residence on Thursday, October 30, 2008. She was under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County since June.

Born in Earl Township on April 12, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John E. and late Maria G. (Horning) Brubaker. She was the wife of the late Amos B. Martin, founder of AB Martin Roofing, who preceded her in death in 1996.

A homemaker, she was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Mary is survived by nine children: Ada, wife of Allen S. Zimmerman of East Earl, Eva, wife of David W. Layman of Elizabethtown, Earl, husband of Mary Z. (Fox) Martin of Penn Yan, NY, Edna, wife of Elam N. Fox of Bellona, NY, Lucy, wife of Melvin W. Zimmerman of East Earl, Leon, husband of Edna S. (Brubaker) Martin of Ephrata, Nelson, husband of Lucy N. (Hoover) Martin of Ephrata, and Verna and Nancy Martin of Ephrata, with whom she resided for the past 4 years. She is also survived by a brother, Harvey H. Brubaker of Ephrata, a sister, Lena H. Shirk of Denver, 43 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren and three brothers, Ivan Brubaker, Benjamin H. Brubaker, formerly of Kutztown, and Allen H. Brubaker, formerly of Ephrata.

A viewing will be held at the late residence, 159 Slate Road, Ephrata, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, November 2. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3, at the late residence at 9:00 AM with further services at 9:30 AM from the Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, with Bishop Titus B. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Martindale Mennonite Cemetery.

Mary M. Martin, 82, of 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, formerly of Kinzer Ave., New Holland, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Fairmount Homes, after a brief illness.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. and Hettie (Musser) Martin. Her husband, Harvey Martin, died April 20, 2004.

Mary was a homemaker most of her life but she also worked for 19 years as a Nurses Aid at the Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Surviving is a son, Leon M., married to Mabel (Weaver) Martin of East Earl; three daughters, Nora, married to Carl Martin of Ickesburg, Arlene, married to Vernon Seibel of Danville, and Reba, married to Paul Weaver of Ashland, OH; 27 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia Martin of Myerstown, and Margaret Hoover of Stevens; and two brothers, Paul, married to Elizabeth (Martin) Martin of Lebanon, and Samuel, married to Martha (Nolt) Martin of Narvon.

Preceding her in death are four sisters and a brother, Sara Nolt, Elva Martin, Esther Martin, Alvin Martin, and Minnie Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26 at 9:30 am at Fairmount Homes Wheat Ridge Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, with further services at 10 am at the Weaverland Mennonite Church with the Bishop Amos G. Martin, Maurice Sollenberger
, age 84 of Hagerstown, Md. died January 22, 2008. He was born September 11, 1923 in Clear Spring, Md. to Daniel S. and Mary (Sollenberger) Martin. He was married to Naomi M. (Hege) Martin.

A member of the Hagerstown Mennonite Fellowship Church and became an ordained minister of the church on May 1969. He also served as the administrator of the Mennonite Fellowship Home of Hagerstown for a number of years.

Survived by his wife and three daughters, Lois H. (husband of Norman) Horst, of Hagerstown, MD; Ella Mae (Husband of Elam) Weaver, of Shippensburg, Pa. and Velda (Husband of Asad) Ghattas, of Hagerstown, Md. Two sisters, Anna Eby of Hagerstown, Md and Rebecca Lehman of Chambersburg, Pa. Two Brothers, James S. Martin, of Hagerstown, Md and Silas S. Martin, of Oregon. Twenty-one grandchildren, Thirty great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother Menno A. Martin.

Funeral service was January 25, 2008 at the Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss, Md. with the Mennonite Fellowship Church Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the Hagerstown Mennonite Fellowship Church Cemetery.

INWOOD, W.Va. - Mervin B. Martin, 90, of 4105 Gerrardstown Road, formerly of Smithsburg and Zephyrhills, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Jan. 11, 1918, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Mamie Susan Reiff Martin.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie E. Horst Martin, on Nov. 11, 1980, and his second wife, Luetta M. Geeseaman Martin, on June 29, 1996.

He attended Maugansville schools.

He was employed by the former Maryland National Bank as a courier.

He was a former member of Maugansville Bible Brethren Church and a member of Zephyr Christian Church, Zephyrhills.

He is survived by three daughters, Fern E. Shank of Inwood, Wilma J. Knight of Waynesboro, Pa., and Janice A. Valentine of Chambersburg, Pa.; one sister, Arlene R. Mark of Elkhart, Ind.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rheta M. Martin; three brothers, Warren D. Martin, Glenn A. Martin and Dale E. Martin; two stepsons, Larry J. Etter and Roy H. Etter; one stepsister, Arlene Ruhl; and one stepbrother, Rufus Geib.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. John Hoffman and Joseph Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Reiffs Mennonite Church Cemetery, Maugansville.

SMITHSBURG - Nathan R. Martin, 58, of Kieffer Funk Road, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at his home.

Born March 22, 1950, in Smithsburg, he was the son of the late Mervin J. and Catherine M. Eshleman Martin.

He was a member of Pondsville Mennonite Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca J. Diller Martin, whom he married March 25, 1970; six daughters, Laura Eby, Lois Eby and Lucinda Eby, all of Clearville, Pa., Linda Hostetter of London, Ky., Laverne Martin of Clear Spring, and Lisa Weber of Hagerstown; four sons, Lwellyn Martin, Lyle Martin and Lowell Martin, all of Smithsburg, and Larwin Martin of Everett, Pa.; one sister, Doris L. Eby of Waynesboro, Pa.; three brothers, Nevin J. Martin and John E. Martin, both of Smithsburg, and Daniel J. Martin of Manchester, Ky.; and 27 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lucy Martin.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Stouffers Mennonite Church. The Pondsville-Stouffers Ministries will officiate. Burial will be in Stouffers-Pondsville Mennonite Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pondsville Mennonite Church.

of Bowmansville, PA, died November 15, 2008 at Landis Homes Lititz, PA  She was born near Bowmansville on May 17, 1920 to Barton S. and Emma W. Martin. She was a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church.

She was predeceased by all of her siblings: Esther, Eva (Ivan) Bowman, Barbara, Paul (Ella), Luke (Edna, Lizzie), Anna, George, Maria (Mark) Musser, and Kathryn. She is survived by 20 nieces and nephews.

Martin, Omar R.
, 88, of Chambersburg, PA died May 1, 2008 at Menno Haven. He was born April 21, 1920, in Maugansville, Md., to Menno S. and Mary (Risser) Martin. His first wife was Anna Mae Kuhns Martin. His second wife was Anna Blanche Clugston Martin on April 1, 1966.

He served as minister of the Chambersburg Mennonite Church. He also served as bishop in the Franklin Mennonite Conference. He was president of the Franklin Conference Mission Board for many years. He was a charter member of the Menno Haven Board of Directors.

Survived by his wife and his four children, Eugene (husband of Lorene) Martin of Chambersburg, PA; Wilmer (husband of Janet) Martin of Waterloo, Ontario, Lyle (husband of Jenny) Martin of Sarasota, Fla., and Elaine (wife of Nelson) Ruhl of Elizabethtown, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, Eugene Lynn (Lisa) Martin, James Bradley Martin, Jolene (Joe) Eid, Janelle Martin, Alan (Christiane) Martin, Randal (Heidi) Martin, Gary (Megan) Martin, Derek Ruhl, Ashley Ruhl, Brock Ruhl and Grant Ruhl. Martin, Raymond G.


Raymond G. Martin, 80, formerly of East Earl, died Sunday evening, December 7, 2008, at Garden Spot Village following a battle with cancer for 4 1/2 years. He is survived by his wife, Louella F. (Auker) Martin, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Blue Ball, he was the son of the late Phares and Suie (Gehman) Martin.

Raymond was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 50 years and had served on the Property, Building and Stewardship Committees, as well as six terms on Church Council. He volunteered with Trinity to the Pine Ridge Outreach to the Lakota Sioux.

He also volunteered with Blue Ball Fire Company for 58 years, and was a member of Howell Lodge #405 F.& A.M. of Honey Brook.

He was a 'Seagoing Cowboy' for Heifer International and traveled to Poland after WWII.

Raymond was an engineer for Conestoga Wood and then MGS, retiring in 1994. He was a pattern maker for over 60 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a his sons Rayme D., married to Doris (Weaver) Martin of New Holland, and Robin D., married to Barbara (Fry) Martin of Colorado Springs, CO, and a daughter Lorna L. Martin of New Holland; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and brothers Eugene G., married to Sharon Martin of New Holland and Floyd, married to Doris Martin of East Earl; and a sister Irene, married to Dale Weaver of New Holland.

A Memorial Celebration of Raymond's Life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 221 East Main St., New Holland, PA 17557, on Friday, Dec. 12 at 3 pm with the Rev. Jeffrey Pretz officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Family will receive friends following the service at church. Arrangements with Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland. , 81, of 5207 Brook Drive, East Petersburg died peacefully surrounded by his family following a brief illness on Wednesday, April 30, 2008.

Born in Salisbury Township, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ada Mae Martin Martin.

Raymond farmed in the Mount Joy area for over twenty years, later he worked for J.C. Snavely & Sons, Inc., Landisville. He was also employed by S. Clyde Weaver & Sons, East Petersburg.

Raymond was the husband of A. Jeanette Myer Martin and they observed their 58th wedding anniversary in February of this year.

He was an active member of Hempfield Church Of The Brethren, East Petersburg, and formerly served as Deacon of the church. His interests included golf and traveling. Family was his life's focus, and he was special to his wife, children and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Ronald husband of Cynthia Graybill Martin of Lititz, a daughter, Beverly wife of Jeffrey L. Moyer of Manheim, three grandchildren, Sonya wife of Jason Widders, Kyle husband of Kimberly Martin, and Stephanie Moyer; a great grandson, Chase Widders; and a brother, Frank husband
of Arlene Martin of Lancaster. Raymond was preceded in death by a grandson, Wesley Moyer, two brothers, Earl and Ivan Martin, three sisters, Bertha Brackbill, Mary Martin and Anna Martin.

Born in Goodville, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel S. and Fannie (Kurtz) Martin. She worked for 28 years as a Nurses Aide at Ephrata Community Hospital until her retirement in 1983. Prior to nursing, she worked on the family farm in Goodville.

She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

90, of Hagerstown, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Mennonite Fellowship Home.

Born Oct. 3, 1918, in Hanover, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Maggie Diller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Shank Martin Sr.

She assisted her husband, who was pastor of Mount Airy (Md.) Mennonite Church. She also was active in Martin Electric, established by her husband.

She is survived by one daughter, Esther L. Kline of Mount Airy; one son, Irvin S. Martin Jr. of Mount Airy; one foster son, William Boyd of New Holland, Pa.; one foster brother, Harvey Martin of Chambersburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ethel M. Campbell; and two sisters, Naomi Martin and Esther Martin.

A service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Airy Mennonite Church. Her nephew, Roger Martin, and two grandsons will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mount Airy.

, 69, of Darway Elder Care in Forksville, PA, formerly of Intercourse, died Wednesday July 23, 2008. He was the son of the late John and Mary Sauder Martin. He was the husband of Ida M. Stoltzfus Martin for 48 years. He was a mechanic for Hoober Inc., Sauder Chevrolet, and John F. Martin, Inc. The joy in his life was playing with his grandchildren and helping others. He enjoyed fishing, the mountains; was an active member of the Intercourse Fire
Department; was an assistant fire chief for many years. He was a member of Lichty's Mennonite Church.

Martin, Thelma M. Banzhof
, age 68, of 1880 Pool Forge, Lancaster, died peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at her home after a 6-month illness with brain cancer.

Born in Upper Leacock Township, Lancaster County, PA, she is the daughter of the late Willis John and Esther Frey (Gerlach) Banzhof.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Kenneth R. Martin, also of 1880 Pool Forge.

Thelma was a graduate of Hempfield High School Class of 1957 and a member of Grace Brethren Church in Rohrers-town. She retired from Armstrong World Industries with 30 years service as a Credit Correspondent.

Thelma loved to take road trips throughout the US and especially liked New England, the Finger Lakes wine region, and Mount Rushmore. She has traveled in nearly all the states. She enjoyed socializing, cooking, gardening, bowling, cross-stitch, ceramics, decorating, shopping (especially at the Bon Ton), and collecting. She collected turtles, teapots, and memorabilia (Hershey's, KC Chiefs, and Elvis).  She is a member of the What's Cookin' Club and Yoga Club in the Village Grande Community.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Barry Mahoney, husband of Cheri of Millersville; daughters, Mary (Mahoney) Kreider wife of Dick of Mountville; Lorise (Martin) Homsher, wife of Wayne of Ronks, PA; Lori (Mahoney) Buffenmyer, wife of Troy, of Willow Street; Andrea (Martin) Eckert, wife of Ray of Lancaster; Janette (Martin) Sickles, wife of David, of Dexter, ME; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sister Darlene Smeltzer of Wrightsville, PA; and a brother, John Banzhof, husband of Joanne of Willow Street, PA.

A funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30-11:00 AM.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Todd Heston Martin, infant, of 3921 Jack Road, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Alfred I. Dupont Hospital for Children, Wilmington, Del.

Born Dec. 5, 2008, in Harrisburg, Pa., he was the son of Dustin T. and Jerri M. Helfrick Martin.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Kylei M. Martin and Kadenn A. Martin, both at home; maternal grandparents, Donald and Pauline Helfrick of Chambersburg; paternal grandparents, Titus and Linda Martin of Fayetteville, Pa.; maternal great-grandmother, Helen Shatzer, a resident of Providence Place, Chambersburg; and paternal great-grandmother, Martha M. Denlinger, a resident of ManorCare Health Services, Chambersburg.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mercersburg Mennonite Church, Mercersburg, Pa. Pastors Allen Eshleman, David Possinger, and Lloyd Gingrich, will officiate. Burial will be in the adjacent church cemetery.

, 51, of River Road, Waterloo, NY died unexpectedly Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.

Walter was born in Ephrata, on November 29, 1956, the son of Titus and Mabel Martin of Ephrata. He had resided in Waterloo for the past 28 years, moving from Morgantown. He was a member of the Fayette Mennonite Church, Town of Fayette, NY. Walter was a dairy farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Huber Martin, of Waterloo, whom he married November 8, 1979; his eight children: Andrew (Anita) Martin, Lyons, Cheryl (Doren) Martin, Weedsport, Dawn (Vernon) Horning, North Rose, Keith (Joyce) Martin, Lyons, Brendon, Jeffrey, Lorene & Cindy Martin, all at home; 7 grandchildren, 10 brothers and sisters: Susan (Leroy) Martin, Geneva, Curvin (Edith) Martin, Memphis, MO, Nelson (Alma) Martin, Mt. , 93, of New Holland, entered into rest at his residence in New Holland on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.

Born in East Earl, he was a son of the late John and Lydia Ann (Weaver) Martin. He was married to Francis M. (Nolt) Martin.

A member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, he was a retired farmer and woodworker.

Besides his wife, Mr. Martin is survived by three sons, John, husband of Nora Martin of Ionia, Iowa, Henry, husband of Martha Martin of Lititz, and Weaver Jr., husband of Mary Martin of New Holland; three daughters, Rebecca, wife of Harvey Fox of Curtiss, WI, Mary, wife of Titus Zimmerman of Lititz, and Anna, wife of Ammon Weaver of Lititz; one brother, Aaron Martin of Ephrata; two sisters, Anna, wife of Mose Sensenig of East Earl, and Mary Ella, wife of Paul Zimmerman of East Earl; 55 grandchildren; 225 great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna (Reiff) Martin; three brothers, Reuben, Henry and John Martin; and three sisters, Eva Nolt, Lydia Nolt, and Elizabeth Nolt.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the late residence, 194 Amishtown Road, New Holland with further services at 9:30 AM at the Groffdale Frame Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference) with Bishop Ben Martin officiating. Martin, Wilbur Amos
, 93, of Brethren Village, died at Lancaster General Hospital on Saturday, June 7, 2008.

Born November 26, 1914, in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Ira and Edna Martin. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Zuck) Martin.

Wilbur is a graduate of Ephrata High School, 1933, Lancaster School of the Bible, 1936, National Bible Institute, 1939 and Eastern Baptist Seminary, Philadelphia 1964.

Wilbur served as pastor of five Church of the Brethren congregations: Pottstown, PA, Royersford, PA, Coventry, Orlando, FL and North Ft. Myers, FL and interim pastor of the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren. Wilbur and Evelyn also served as house parents and chaplain at Hillcrest School for Missionary's Children, Jos, Nigeria from 1957-1960.

Wilbur is survived by two sons, Timothy Ritchey Martin and wife Donna of Myersville, MD, and Thomas Martin of Northbridge, CA; two grandsons, Benjamin and Jonathan; two brothers, Carl Martin and Donald Martin, both of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

Wilbur was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, and parents, Ira, Edna and Marie, and also by a brother, Lowell Martin, and sister, Hazel Neff.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, with Chaplain Mark Tedford and Bob Neff officiating. Private interment in the Bareville Cemetery, West Earl Township, PA. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the chapel.

Mast, Andy Ray


Andy Ray Mast, 55, of rural Arthur passed away at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at the Marcus Gingerich residence in rural Arthur with Bishop Dannie Otto officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery. Visitation was anytime prior to the funeral service at the Gingerich residence.

Mr. Mast was born August 2, 1953, in Coles County.  He was a son of William A. and Mary Ann (Plank) Mast.  He married Sara Marie Bontreger September 25, 1975, in Douglas County. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Mary Ann Mast of Arthur; six sons, John A. Mast and wife Leona of Arcola, David Mast and wife Rhoda of Humboldt, Joe A. Mast and wife Carolyn of Worthington Indiana, and Paul Mast, Phillip Mast, and Daniel Mast at home; four daughters, Mary Ann, Kathryn Ann, Dorothy, and Wilma, all at home; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Elva Mast and wife Leona of Tuscola and Joe Allen Mast and wife Deloris of Humboldt; five sisters Verna Kay Miller and husband Gary Dale of Arthur, Ruth Anna Yoder and husband Reuben Joseph of Arthur, Lela Fern Kaufman and husband Melvin A. of Arthur, Ada Lorene Yoder and husband Kenneth H. of Loganville, Wisconsin, and Betty Ellen Miller and husband Floyd O. of Arthur; and one sister in-law, Irene Mast of Arthur.

He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Mast; a brother, Lynn William Mast; and stillborn twins.

Mr. Mast was a member of the Old Order Amish Church for which he served as a bishop, and he was a dairy farmer in the Arthur area.

, 83, of Kinross, Iowa died January 14, 2008 at Keswick, Iowa. She was born February 22, 1924 at Jet, Oklahoma.  On November 3, 1956 she was married to Alvin Mast. They were divorced.

Surviving are children, Rita Fowler and husband Terry, Rollin Mast and wife Tammy, Donna Mast, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, two brothers Mervin Troyer, and her twin Wilbur Troyer, and a sister, Maurine Zimmerman.

Memorial services were held January 18, 2008 at Wellman Mennonite Church, Wellman, Iowa with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

McDowell, S. Esther Beechy
, 95, of Goshen, IN died March 6, 2008 at Goshen, IN  from.  She was born October 8, 1912 at Sugarcreek, OH  to W. A. and Mary (Hostetler) Beechy.  On June 30, 1935 at Sugarcreek, OH she was married to Wiley McDowell, who survives.

Surviving are children, Barbara (George) Smucker, John E. "B. J." McDowell, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Oscar Beechy and W. L. Beechy preceded her in death.

Esther was active in numerous volunteer endeavors in Ohio and Goshen.  She was a church organist for more than 50 years at First Mennonite Church, Sugarcreek, Ohio.

Memorial services were held March 17, 2008 at Greencroft Meetinghouse, Goshen, IN.

Albert M. Miller, 80, of rural Arcola passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral Services were held yesterday morning (Wednesday) at the family residence with Bishop Jake Stutzman officiating. Burial was in Miller cemetery, rural Arcola. Visitation was anytime prior to the funeral.

Mr. Miller was born March 10, 1928, in Douglas County. He was a son of Menno S. and Fannie (Beachy) Miller. He married Nancy Stutzman on February 7, 1952, in rural Arcola. She passed away June 28, 1998.

Survivors include four sons, Menno A. Miller and wife Barbara Ellen of Arthur, David J. Miller and wife Lydia Mae of Arthur, Jacob A. Miller and wife Verna Viola of Arthur, and Andrew A. Miller and wife Dolores of Arthur; one daughter, Mary Diener and husband Willard Ray of Arcola; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alvin Miller and wife Anna (Kauffman) of Arthur, Ervin Miller and wife Marlene (Yoder) of Elkhart, Indiana, and Dave Miller and

Anna M. Miller, 68, of rural Arthur passed away at 4 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2007, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at the Lester M. Yoder residence in rural Arthur with the Bishop Menno D. Miller officiating. Burial was in Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur. Visitation was held anytime prior to the funeral at the Yoder residence. Edwards Funeral Home, Arcola, assisted the Miller family with funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Miller was born December 18, 1939, in Coles County. She was a daughter of Menno W. and Katie (Miller) Yoder. She married Lonnie S. Miller on February 9, 1961, in Arthur. He passed away on June 7, 1963.

Survivors include one son, Richard Lynn Miller and wife Mary Jane of Bourbon; one daughter, Dorothy Louise Gingerich and husband Emery of Arcola; two sisters, Mary Otto and husband Freeman of Kokomo, Indiana, and Irma M. Yoder of Arthur; one brother, Lester M. Yoder and wife Martha of Arthur; and 16 grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Edna Yoder; and three grandsons, a stillborn, Lavon Allen Miller, and John Elmer Gingerich.

She was part owner of Miller Dry Goods of rural Arthur for over 41 years. She was a member of the Old Order Amish.

She was born in Topeka, Indiana, on November 21, 1914, to Daniel E. and Magdalena "Maude" (Bontrager) Yoder. She married Cornelius Miller on November 30, 1933 in Topeka. He died November 27, 1990. A Goshen resident from 1940 to 2002, She was a charter member of the Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen.

She is survived by two daughters, Grace (Marvin) Slaubaugh of Wellman, Iowa, and Mary Ellen (Ralph) Lichty of Oakland, Maryland; two sons, Maurice Glen (Susan) Miller of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and John Stanley (Rachel) Miller of Lawrence, Kansas; nine grandchildren; 11 great -grandchildren; and three sisters, Maggie (Gerald) Yoder, Lucille (Ernest) Blue, and Mary (Alvin) Bontrager, all of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cornelius; two brothers, John E. and Orva Jay Yoder; and four sisters, Alta Yoder, Ida May Yoder, Ruby Wyse, and Elma Stauffer.

, 96, of Archbold, OH died March 26, 2008 at Archbold, Fulton Co., OH from natural causes.  She was born January 30, 1912 at Archbold, Fulton, Co., OH to Samuel and Katie (Nofziger) Sauder.  On June 5, 1932 she was married to Martin J. Miller, who died October 5, 1974.

Surviving are children, Richard Miller; Robert (Mary) Miller; Jerry (Martha) Miller; Annabelle (Ed) Carlin; Doris (John) Eberly; Linda (James) Howard;
16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Viola Aeschliman.

Dan S. Miller, 88, of Arthur passed away at 7 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2008, at the family residence.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Ruben Gingerich residence, 261 E. CR. 600 N, Tuscola, with Bishop Sam Schrock officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola. Visitation was any time prior to the funeral service at the Ruben Gingerich residence. Edwards Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Miller was born November 1, 1919, in Arthur. He was a son of Stephen S. and Anna (Yutzy) Miller. He married Mary Ann Kauffman on August 28, 1941, in Arcola. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Melvin Richard Miller and wife Lydia Ann of Tuscola; two daughters, Delores Ann Miller at home and Frances Schrock and husband Abe of Arthur; one brother, Peter S. Miller of Elkhart, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, four brothers, and six sisters.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith. He was a farm hand for Millard Dukeman of rural Arthur for many years. He finished his working days at Gingerich Pump Shop in rural Arthur.

Donald E. Miller, 77, Arthur passed away at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at The Arthur Home.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, December 27, at First Apostolic Church in Arthur with Rev. Phil Schrock and Rev. Matthew Schrock officiating. Burial was in Arthur Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday evening, December 26, First Apostolic Church in Arthur.  Edwards Funeral Home, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.

Mr. Miller was born December 29, 1930, in LaGrange, Indiana. He was the son of Milo U. and Mildred (Mishler) Miller. He married Amanda Yutzy on May 4 1954, in Arthur. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Michelle Welsh an husband Wendell of Lakeland, Florida; Brent Miller of Oakland, and Dennis Miller and wife Tina of Decatur; two grandchildren, Zach Miller and Parnelle Miller; two brothers, Deldon Miller and wife Clarabelle of La Grange and Dean Miller of Columbia City, Indiana; and two sisters, Dorene Kauffman and husband Carl of Haleyville, Alabama, and Doris Loy and husband Gary of New Salisbury, Indiana.

Mr. Miller spent most of his life as a salesman for Taystee Bread, Schrock Kitchens, and Yoder Cabinets.

He enjoyed traveling, going to old car shows, working in the yard, and meeting with his friends every morning at the coffee shop where all the news was shared and discussed.

Visiting with guests at his Bed & Breakfast, making coffee and telling jokes for them was also a joy. His mission trips to Russia and Honduras were a real learning experience.

, 16, of Goshen, IN, died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at his home. He had been in poor health since birth. He was born in Goshen on April 9, 1992 to Stanley and Elvera (Yoder) Miller of Goshen. Douglas attended Goshen Middle School Special Needs.

Survived by his parents; three brothers, Gregory (Erin) Miller of Goshen, and Randy and Brandt Miller, both at home; three sisters, Stephanie, Cindy and Jordyn Miller, all at home; and grandparents, Treva Yoder of Nappanee, and Vernon and Barbara Miller of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrin Miller and a grandfather, Edwin Yoder.

, 80, of Harrisonburg, VA died July 7, 2008 at Harrisonburg, VA.  He was born October 17, 1927 at Salisbury, Pennsylvania to Fred E. and Matilda (Beachy) Miller.  On July 3, 1949 he was married to Ruth B. Hess, who was born April 6, 1926 and survives.

Surviving are children, Jim Miller of Harrisonburg,Virginia; Phil Miller of Gurneville, CA; John Miller of Hesston, Kansas; E. Miller, Eli Lewis Sr., 80, of Harrisonburg, Virginia died in his sleep July 7, 2008 at Harrisonburg, VA. 

He was born October 17, 1927 at Salisbury, PA to Fred E. and Matilda (Beachy) Miller.  Fred was born February 15, 1903 and died August 30, 1987.  Matilda was born January 17, 1903 and died July 9, 1942.

On July 3, 1949 at Mt. Joy, PA he was married to Ruth Brubaker Hess, who was born April 6, 1926 and survives. Eli and Ruth Miller were married 59 years.

Surviving are children, Jim (Sharon) Miller, Phil Miller, John (Rox) Miller, Jean (Donald) Oswald, Lewis (Marg) Miller, Louise (Dave) Heintz, Marie (Randy) Headings, Barb (Robert) Hunt, Becky (Larry) Martin, 17 grandchildren, and siblings, Walter (Barbara) Miller, Sarah Miller, John (Karen) Miller, Paul (Darlene) Miller, Alvin (Sharon) Miller, Joe Miller, and Martha Brock.

 A brother, Daniel Miller preceded him in death.

He was Chaplain of Riverside Convalescent Home in Newport News, VA for 16 years, in the dairy business for 25 years, and a land developer

Miller, Elmer Clarence
, 97, died January 8, 2008. He was born in rural Kalona in Johnson County, IA, on March 5, 1910 to Harry D. and Lizzie C. Schlabaugh Miller. He was united in marriage to Verna Boley on June 28, 1931. Elmer was a charter member of Fairview Conservative Mennonite Church. He also was sexton of the cemetery for many years.

Surviving is his daughter and son-in-law Marjorie and Edwin Hershberger of Kalona, five grandchildren and spouses; Merle and Linda Miller of Washington, Carrie Miller of Kalona, Kenneth Hershberger of Washington, James and Audra Hershberger of Wellman, and Clair and April Miller of Kalona. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Barbara Miller of Kalona, nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a brother Omer Miller of Kalona and a grandson-in-law, Cecil Nissley of Washington.

Preceding Elmer in death were his wife, Verna January 17, 1983, his son Henry (10-10-1995), two granddaughters, Laverna Hershberger and Audrey Nissley and one brother, Chris Miller.

Service was Jan 10, 2008 at the Fairview Conservative Mennonite Church, rural Kalona, IA.

Miller, Enos Hugh
, 98, of Wellman, Iowa died December 13, 2008 at Wellman, Iowa.  He was born March 11, 1910 in Reno County, Kansas to Harvey J. and Lizzie (Yoder) Miller.  On May 1, 1932 at Wellman, Iowa he was married to Erma Pauline Doolin, who died February 2003.

Surviving are children, S. Duane Miller (Florence), E. Gene Miller (Edna), Ermadine Boshart (Norman), L. Dale Miller (Carol), 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Anna Mae Hartzler, Bertha Wenger, and Nora Dickel.

A son, Dean Miller; two daughters, Janice Blosser and Elaine Earnest; three sisters, Elsie Miller, Fannie Doolin, and Mattie Bontrager; and a brother, Dan H. Miller preceded him in death.

Miller, Eva R. Ruhl
, 100, of Mennonite Home, Lancaster, PA (Formerly of Elizabethtown, PA) died April 19, 2008. She was born January 8, 1908 in Manheim, PA to Philip and Emma Snavely Ruhl.

She was married to Ezra E. Miller who died in 1943. She was a member of Good's Mennonite Church of Bainbridge, PA.  Mrs. Miller was employed by the former Teufel Orthotics and Prosthetics in Elizabethtown, PA. Among their clients was Joni Erickson Tada, internationally known Christian artist, speaker and author. In a recent 100th birthday letter to Mrs. Miller, Joni thanked Eva for helping to create hand splints for her. Joni thanked Eva too, for the richness of her Christian witness these many years.

She hosted Stephen Estrada, a Fresh Air Child from New York City in her home for 10 years and is still part of the family gatherings. Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Leslie Miller, Elizabethtown, PA; two daughters, Charlene Fry, Turbotville, PA and Lois, wife of Richard Hilsher, Port Trevorton, PA. In addition, she is survived by 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a sister, Almeda Ruhl Hess of Landis Homes, Lititz, PA.

She was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Miller, two brothers, Signor and Arthur Ruhl, a sister, Emma Ruhl Brubaker and two grandchildren.

Funeral Service was April 23, 2008 at Goods Mennonite Church with Interment in the Good's Mennonite Cemetery,  West Dongeal Twp., Elizabethtown, PA.

Harvey S. Miller, 73, of Tuscola passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, October 25 2008, at his residence.

Funeral services wen held Tuesday morning, October 28, 2008, at the Ruben Gingerich residence in rural Tuscola, with Bishop San Schrock officiating. Burial was in Otto Cemetery. Visitation was anytime after 1 p.m. Sunday at the residence.

Mr. Miller was born January 3, 1935, in Douglas County. He was son of Samuel J. and Mary Ann Ann (Stutzman) Miller. He married Ada J. Otto February 23, 1956, in Douglas County. She survives.

Also surviving are eight children, Elva Miller of Arthur, Ernest Miller and wife Betty Mae of Tuscola, Monroe Miller and wife Sharon of Fisher, Rueben Miller and wife Cheryl of Arcola, Irlene Chupp and husband Vernon of Arcola, Susanna Graber of Arthur, Barbara Ann Bontrager and husband La Mar of Tuscola and Laura Mae Chupp and husband Glen of Tuscola; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grand children; five brothers, Monroe Miller and wife Martha Ann of Milton, Iowa, Marvin Miller and wife Fannie of Strasburg, Daniel Miller and wife Dena of Shipshewana Indiana, Calvin Miller of Arcola, and Merle Miller and wife Rachel of Arthur; and one sister, Cora Wiltermood of Arthur.

Mr. Miller farmed, hung drywall, and most recently was a baker having worked at the Red Barn Bakery in Tuscola.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.

Jacob M. Miller, 83, of rural Arthur passed away at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at his residence.

Marvin was an ordained minister in Mennonite Church USA, most recently holding credentials in Central District Conference.  He was the founding minister of Walnut Hill Mennonite Church where he served as pastor for 25 years.  Following his years of pastoral ministry, he served many years as a lay minister at Pleasant Oaks Mennonite Church.  Although he suffered from aphasia following a stroke in 2000, Marvin continued to sing hymns and recite scripture until the time of his death.

The Rev. Marvin J. Miller, 80, of 1721 Greencroft Blvd., formerly of Middlebury, died at 11:43 p.m. Monday (June 9, 2008) in Goshen General Hospital. He was born April 18, 1928, in Nappanee to Joseph and Amanda (Smucker) Miller. On Oct. 23, 1952, he married Ruth D. Yoder in Goshen. She survives along with one daughter, Sandra (Douglas) Miller-Givan of Crawfordsville; four sons, Dallas Miller and Nathan (Diane) Miller, both of Elkhart, Arnold Miller of Goshen and Anthony (Jackie) Miller of Portland, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Fannie Mae (Marvin) Miller of Goshen and Elizabeth Tyson of New Paris; and four brothers, Edward (Grace) Miller of Elkhart, Lester (Martha) Miller of Toledo, Ohio, Eli (Connie) Miller of Puyallup, Wash., and Joseph (Phyllis) Miller of South Bend.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Mathews, and one brother-in-law, Erwin Tyson.

Rev. Miller was the founding minister of Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, Goshen, where he served for 25 years. He had worked at Smith Motors, Goshen, and later worked for the Indiana Toll Road as a toll booth attendant. Rev. Miller was a member of Pleasant Oaks Mennonite Church, Middlebury, where he had served as deacon for several years and sang in the choir. He lived in Middlebury from 1978 to 2003.

Rev. Miller was a gifted musician, playing several different instruments, and enjoyed singing. He was a photographer and an avid Cubs and White Sox baseball fan.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Meeting House at Greencroft, Goshen, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Friends also may call one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Saturday funeral service at the funeral home. The Rev. Rachel Nafziger-Hartzler will officiate.

She was married to Edward D. Miller, who passed away on April 19, 1980. She was a member of Ridgeview Mennonite Church, Gordonville, PA.

Creek, Ohio he was married to Mary Ellen Hamsher, who was born May 19, 1927 and survives.

Surviving are children, Carol (Roger) Wyant, Mark (Joyce) Miller, Miriam (Dan) Halterman, Ken Miller, Rose (Joel) Lehman, 10 grandchildren, a brother, Elmo (Irmgarde) Miller, a sister, Elsie Miller, a sister, Jeanette (Milton) Beyeler; and a sister-in-law, Martha Miller.

A brother, Jack Miller preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held June 15, 2008 at Smithville Mennonite Church, Smithville, Ohio with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Miller, Sam A.
, 93, of Goshen died October 7, 2008 at Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN.  He was born December 2, 1914 at Yoder, Kansas to Andy and Gertie (Miller) Miller.  On 1934 at Garnett, Kansas he was married to Clara Yoder, who died October 20, 1995.

Surviving are children, Katie (Owen) Troyer, Marvin (Janet) Miller, 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and two brothers, William Miller and Andy (Fannie) Miller Jr.

He was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church and worked in the RV and mobile home industry for 55 years.  Mr. Miller read his Bible daily, enjoyed dominoes, and loved to work.

Memorial services were held October 10, 2008 at North Goshen Mennonite Church, Goshen, IN with burial in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen, IN.

Miller, Ursula M. Swartzendruber
, 91, of Goshen died August 17, 2008 at Goshen, IN.  She was born October 22, 1916 at Kalona, Iowa to John A. and Katie (Yoder) Swartzendruber.  On February 2, 1936 at Kalona, Iowa she was married to Annas Miller, who was born October 23, 1912 and died October 25, 2002.

Surviving are children: Marcia E. Miller; Karen Ventura; Francis (Marcile) Miller; Galen (Sue Neeb) Miller; Loren (Floy) Miller, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Lois Widner*.

A son, Stanley Ray Miller, and seven brothers, Urie Swartzendruber, Harry Swartzendruber, Melvin Swartzendruber, William Swartzendruber, George Swartzendruber, John Swartzendruber, Henry Swartzendruber preceded her in death.

Ursula was involved for many years in young children's Sunday School program and volunteered nearly 30 years with Oaklawn, Hospice of Goshen, and Bethany Christian Schools.

Memorial services were held August 21, 2008 (when) at College Mennonite Church Goshen IN with burial in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, IN.

Miller, Wilma Huetta Unrau
, 88, of Reedley, CA died December 12, 2008 at Reedley, CA.  She was born January 28, 1920 at Inola, OK to Peter and Helena Unrau.  On October 14, 1943 at Inola, OK she was married to John Miller, who was born November 11, 1919 and survives.

Surviving are children, Larry & Jamie Miller; Randy Miller; Charlene & Dennis Arnst; Nora & Lenn Schwartz; Cora & Brent Voran; Cindy & Dan Epp; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and three brothers, Arthur Unrau, Rahlen Unrau, and William Unrau.

A son, Timothy, two brothers, Marvin Unrau and Walter Aunra, and two sisters, Ella Unrau and Martha Unrau preceded her in death.

She and her husband, John, started Streetlight Ministries, a food ministry and thrift shop for the needy in the Reedley area.

Memorial services were held December 19, 2008 at First Mennonite Church, Reedley, CA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Milne, Freda Mae King
, 85, of Glendale, AZ died August 30, 2008 at Peoria, Maricopa County, Arizona from cerebrovascular accident (stroke).  She was born May 26, 1923 at Elida, Allen County, Ohio to Edward M. and Elizabeth (Augsburger) King.  Edward was born December 21, 1895 and died July 14, 1950.  Elizabeth was born July 4, 1894 and died September 15, 1969.

On October 26, 1944 at Elida, Allen County, Ohio she was married to Robert William Milne, who was born October 12, 1919 and died October 17, 2004.

Surviving are children, Ronald (Sally Jo) Milne, Goshen, IN; Beverly (Jay) Hershberger, New Paris, IN; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two brothers,  Paul (Lois) King, Sarasota, FL; and Robert (Jill) King, Sarasota, FL.

A brother, John (Lala) King, and two sisters, Clara (Clark) Brenneman and Betty (John) Albrecht preceded her in death.

She served with Mennonite Board of Missions in Fortuna Ledge, Alaska (1955 -
57) and in London England (1974 - 76).  She was Secretary/Administrative Assistant at Goshen College (1957 - 1974). She had many volunteer activities in Glendale, AZ (1977 - 2008).  She enjoyed hosting and getting to know people from all over the world, enjoyed music - singing and playing organ, and enjoyed games and crossword puzzles.

Burial was in Trinity Mennonite Church Columbarium
A semi-private committal service, followed by a meal and time of remembrance in the fellowship hall of  Trinity Mennonite Church, Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona will be held on December 22, 2008.

Moyer, Evelyn Derstine
, 89, of Lansdale died December 13, 2008 at Sellersville, PA.  She was born April 22, 1919 at Sellersville, PA.  On June 25, 1938 she was married to Nelson Derstine Moyer, who was born March 2, 1914 and died October 8, 2001.

Surviving are children, John D. Moyer and wife, Janet; Robert D. Moyer and wife, Kathleen; Karen D. Weaver and husband, Larry; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a brother, J. Donald Derstine and wife, Lois.

Her siblings, Naomi Derstine, Harold A. Derstine, Helen Nase, William D. Derstine, D. Walter Derstine, and Dr. Richard D. Derstine preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held December 18, 2008 at Dock Woods Community Church, Lansdale, PA with burial in Souderton Mennonite Cemetery, Souderton, PA.

- 87, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Hatfield, PA. died August 06, 2008 at Grand View Hospital. Born February 19, 1921 in Lower Salford TWP, PA to the late Ulysses and Ella (Landis) Moyer. Beloved husband for 62 years to Esther (Ruth) Moyer. He was a former member of Towamencin Mennonite Church of Kulpsville, PA.

Survived by his wife Esther, and Doris Detwiler (Daughter) & husband, Donald of Telford, PA; Lila Hackman (Daughter) & husband, Ronald of Harleysville, PA; Elaine Clemens (Daughter) & husband, Andrew of Quakertown, PA; Irvin Leid (Son-In-Law) of Shiloh, OH; Harold Moyer (Brother) & wife, Kathryn of Souderton, PA; Faith Rittenhouse (Sister) & husband, Walton of Souderton, PA; Eva Moyer (Sister-in-Law) of Souderton, PA; Grandchildren: 11; Great-Grandchildren: 25.

He was preceded in death by: Judy Leid (Daughter); Norman Moyer (Brother); Hannah Godshall (Sister); Ada Moyer (Sister); Lizzie Detweiler (Sister); Cora (Landis) Moyer (Step-Mother)

Funeral service was August 11, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, Souderton, PA. Burial will take place at Franconia Mennonite Cemetery.

, 99, of South Manheim, PA died February 23, 2008. She was born in East Petersburg, PA to Elam H. and Mary Kendig Stoner.

Mabel was the wife of Raymond H. Moyer he died in 1989. A member of Hernley Mennonite Church, Manheim, PA. Surviving is a son, Jay Richard Moyer of Manheim, PA; two daughters, Jean Shonk of Manheim, PA; Betty A. wife of Thomas Wirt of Lewiston Minnesota, five grand children: Holly Shonk, Beth Cage, James Risser, Joel Risser, Brent Risser and three great grandchildren.

Funeral service was February 29, 2008 at the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, PA Interment in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery Rapho Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.

, 88, of Manheim, PA died November 2, 2008. Born in Manheim, PA to Phares R. and Cora Hottenstein Moyer.

His first wife was Mabel I. Wenger Moyer died in 1986. His 2nd wife Erla Graby Hossler Moyer of 21 years surives.

He was a member of Hernley Mennonite Church, Manheim, PA. and volunteered on the cemetery committee of the church.

Surviving is his wife and three daughters: Miriam J. & Ray Shenk Lititz, PA; Arlene & Norman Sauder Manheim, PA; Julia & Paul Clugston Halifax, PA;  son, P. Marlin Moyer of Manheim, PA. a stepdaughter, Joanne Allan Munro of Lebanon, PA  fourteen grand children, thirty-seven great grandchildren, and one step grandson.

He was preceded in death by his 1st wife and five brothers: Clarence, Raymond, Norman, Lloyd, and Arthur Moyer, a sister, Edna Boll, two  grandsons, Gerald and Dean Shenk, and two great grandsons, Ethan and Ryan Shenk.

Funeral service was Novermber 6, 2008 at the Hernley Mennonite Church, with Bishop Donald O. Nauman and Pastor George M. Hurst officiating. Interment was in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Manheim, PA

, 88, of Hilltown Township died September 16, 2008 at Harleysville, Mountgomery Co., PA from CAD, Dementia.  She was born May 14, 1920 at Deep Run, Bucks County, PA.  On August 19, 1939 she was married to Frank A. Moyer, who was born February 25, 1919 and died June 27, 1998.

Surviving are children, Charles Moyer and wife Carolyn; Lamar Moyer and wife Nancy; James Moyer and wife Irene; Richard Moyer and wife Shirley; David Moyer and wife Myrna; Dean Moyer and wife Jean; Susan Moyer and husband Lamar Freed;
16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a brother Howard Rice and wife Anna.

Sisters, Edna Rice, Emma and Mary Landis and infant siblings, Earl and
Pearl Rice preceded her in death.

Moyers, Mary Elizabeth Brunk
, 94, of Broadway, VA died February 23, 2008 at Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., VA from heart failure. 

She was born May 4, 1913 at Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., VA to Elmer R. and Nannie (Blosser) Brunk.  Elmer was born March 6, 1881 and died June 27, 1966.  Nannie was born January 15, 1890 and did February 28, 1969.

On March 23, 1948 at Harrisonburg, VA she was married to Preston Elsworth Moyers, who was born July 16, 1914 and died March 24, 2005.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Randall L. & Elly Moyers, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn Maust.

Memorial services were held February 26, 2008 at Trissels Mennonite Church, Broadway, Rockingham Co., VA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Mullet, LeRoy
, 67, of Berlin, OH died November 25, 2008 at Sarasota, Florida from a heart condition.  He was born June 12, 1941 to Atlee and Sue Mullet.  On July 1, 1961 he was married to Sue Slabach, who was born March 23, 1941 survives.

Surviving are children, Steve and Jill Mullet, Berlin, OH; Tony and Annelle Mullet, Berlin, OH; 4 grandchildren, and three sisters, Mary Ellen Good of Lima, OH; Viola (Nathan) Miller; and Bernice Hartman both from Beach City, OH.

His parents preceded him in death.

LeRoy's career was real estate and construction as well as some land development.  He enjoyed interacting with other business people in the area.  He was an avid golfer for many years and when his health didn't allow that anymore, he turned to shuffleboard.  He and Sue spent their winters in Florida since 2000 and shuffleboard was a big part of his enjoyment in Florida.  Also going out to eat with friends and enjoying card games together.  He will be greatly missed by both friends and family.

Memorial services were held December 1, 2008 at Martins Creek Mennonite Church, Millersburg, Holmes Co., OH with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Musser, Etta H. Weaver
91, of Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, [PA] passed away April 28, 2008. [Formerly of East Earl, PA].  Born March 30, 1917 in Earl Twp., [Lancaster Co., PA], she was the daughter of the late David H. and Cora (Heller) Weaver and a stepdaughter of the late Katie (Brubaker) Weaver.
  
  She was the wife of Jacob H. Musser. They would have been married 70 years on June 4. She was an active member of the New Holland Mennonite Church where she served faithfully with her husband who was a deacon. She was active in the church sewing circle and volunteered at the New Holland ReUzit. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, hosting dinner guests, sewing and quilting. She has made quilts for all her grandchildren.
  
  Surviving are six children, Dorothy, married to Irvin G. Weaver of East Earl, [PA], Ruth Mae, married to Melvin B. Lapp of Cochranville, [PA], Roy, married to Joyce (Shaub) Musser of Pottsville, [PA], James, married to Aldine (Weaver) Musser of Stephens City, VA, Janice, married to Glenn Wyble of Doylestown, [PA] and Jacob W., married to Karen (Martin) Musser of New Holland, [PA]; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Susie, married to Charles Good of Lititz, [PA]; and a brother, Martin, married to Vera (Buchen) Musser of New Holland, [PA]. Preceding her in death are two brothers, Victor F. Weaver and Raymond H. Weaver; and a sister, Ruth Good.
  
  Funeral services were be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at New Holland Mennonite Church, New Holland, [PA]. Interment will be in the New Holland Mennonite Cemetery.

Musser, Etta Heller Weaver, 91, of New Holland died April 28, 2008 from cancer.  She was born March 30, 1917 at New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA to David H. and Cora (Heller) Weaver.  On June 4, 1938 at New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA she was married to Jacob Hertzler Musser, who was born May 2, 1916 and survives. They would have celebrated their 70th anniversary on June 4, 2008.

Surviving are children, Dorothy and Irvin Weaver, Ruth Mae and Melvin Lapp, Roy and Joyce (Shaub) Musser, Janice and Glenn Wyble, James and Aldine (Weaver) Musser,  Jacob and Karen (Martin) Musser, 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a sister, Susie and Charles Good, and a brother, Martin and Vera (Buchen) Weaver.

Two brothers, Victor Weaver, and Raymond Weaver, and a sister, Ruth (Weaver) Good preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held May 1, 2008 at Holland Mennonite Church, New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Myers, Nora Lynne
, 7 months, of Keezletown, VA died June 4, 2008 at Charlottesville, VA from a progressive illness. 

She was born October 30, 2007 to Jason Myers-Benner and Janelle Myers-Benner. Jason Carl Benner was born September 29, 1976 and Susan Janelle Myers was born September 28, 1978.

Surviving are her parents and a sister, Kali Jean Myers (age 4).

Nora's personality was far greater than the small body she inhabited.
