In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Noah K. Mack and a sister-in-law, Muriel (Taylor) Mack.
A funeral service was, April 15, 2014 at 10:30 am at Souderton Mennonite Homes, , Souderton, PA., Burial was at Providence Mennonite Cemetery, Collegeville Montgomery Co., PA.

GOSHEN - Helen C. Mann, 104, passed away early Tuesday morning, Feb. 25, at Greencroft Healthcare Goshen.
She was born Feb. 15, 1910, in Cheraw, Colo., to Edwin and Mary (Bennett) Ebersole.
On Aug. 19, 1930, in Elkhart, she married Clifford E. Mann. He died May 1, 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Eberly of Fort Wayne and Margaret (Wes) Steiner of Goshen; two daughters-in-law, Jean (Cal) Mann-Graber of Goshen, and Laurie Hesed of Newton, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, John and Robert James Mann and Larry Hesed; a great-grandson, Isaac Steiner; two sisters, Ardis Hostetler and Ruth Glick; and two brothers, Clarence and Allen Ebersole.
A long-time Elkhart area resident, Mrs. Mann was a homemaker and worked for a time at Mennonite Mutual Aid. She was a member at Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen, and a past member at Prairie Street Mennonite and Belmont Mennonite Churches, Elkhart.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Meetinghouse at Greencroft Goshen. An 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, memorial service will be at Waterford Mennonite Church. Pastors Velma Swartz and Neil Amstutz will officiate. A private family burial will take place in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or Greencroft Foundation.

Nolt of New Holland, Lydia, wife of Esra Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Ruth, wife of Weaver G. Burkholder of Walnut Bottom, Lucy, wife of Raymond Newswanger of Shippensburg; 88 grandchildren; 163 great-grandchildren; 66 step-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Edwin, husband of Leah (Zimmerman) Martin of OH; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
A viewing will take place on Wednesday, December 31, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the late residence, 305 Goods Rd., Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 1, at 9 a.m., at the late residence, with further services at 9:30 a.m., at the Conestoga Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Alice is predeceased by her husband Robert (2012) and infant son Rodney (1960), infant grandson (1990), her parents Aaron Wideman (1978) and Maria (Bauman) Wideman (1935), stepmother Lucinda (Martin) Wideman (1945) and brother Leonard Wideman (1932).
Interment will take place in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery on Thursday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service, to celebrate Alice's life, at 11 a.m.

Moundridge - Alma Mae Martin, 95, passed away July 14, 2014 at the Moundridge Manor. Alma was born Jan. 30, 1919 in Columbiana, Ohio to Edwin and Lena Wenger Weaver. She spent her childhood years on a farm in eastern Ohio.
She married Daniel Lloyd Martin on Feb. 22, 1929. In their later years, they lived in Pennsylvania and Brazil, moving to Moundridge in 1992. Daniel passed away in 1995 after 56 years of marriage. As her health failed, she moved to the Moundridge Manor in 2012. She was a member of Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Moundridge.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Esther (Dean) Unruh, Halstead; sons, Paul, Magee Valley, NC, Daniel (Betty) El Campo, Texas, Howard (Mary Ann) Okolona, Miss, Phillip (Alfrieda) Goais, Brazil; brother, Howard Weaver, Middleburg, PA; sisters, Sara Weaver, Columbiana, Ohio, Mary Ellen Eberly, Orrville, Ohio, Anna Catherine Reesor, Ontario, Canada; 15 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, one infant son, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation with family present will be Friday from 6:30 p.m. until sharing time at 7:30 a.m. at the Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Moundridge. Funeral service and committal will be Kidron, Ohio on Monday.

The death of Alvin Horst Martin, age 56 years, of Waldheim, Sask. Canada, occurred at the Mennonite Nursing Home, Rosthern, Sask. on July 2, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; 4 sons, Nathan (Lynnette) and their children, Abigail, Hannah and Levi; Matthew (Belinda); Ryan and Benjamin, and his mother Barbara Horst Martin. Also surviving are 5 brothers, Harvey (Ruth); Aaron (Verna); Ivan (Mary Kathryn); Lawrence (Ruth); Ervin (Eva) and 4 sisters, Mary Nolt (Raymond); Eva Zimmerman (Reuben); Esther Weaver (John) and Ruth Ann Horst (David), a sister-in-law Louella Martin (Nelson).
He was predeceased by his father Ivan Z. Martin and a brother Norman. The Funeral and interment will take place in Canada on July 8, 2014.

Alvin retired after 30 years as a press operator for New Holland Machine Company in New Holland, Pa. He and Dorothy retired to Harrisonburg, where he was a member of Sunrise Church of the Brethren and Gideons International.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Dorothy Grace Martin; his son, Larry Martin and wife, Gail, of Harrisonburg; four brothers, Melvin Martin, Amos Martin and Elam Martin, all of Lancaster County, Pa., and Lloyd Martin of Missouri; one sister, Nora Hoover of Lancaster County, Pa.; two grandchildren, Farrah Koogler and husband, Barry, and Benjamin R. Martin and wife, Jennifer; and four great-granddaughters, Halle Koogler, Annabeth Koogler, Sadee Koogler and Chloe Martin, all of Mount Crawford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Marvin and Norman Martin; and one sister, Annie Weaver.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg with Pastor Phil Kanagy officiating. Burial will follow at Weavers Church Cemetery in Harrisonburg.

GOSHEN - Amanda Martin, 68, of Goshen, passed away at 6:18 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, in her home after suffering from dementia.
She was born April 9, 1946, in Goshen to Amos K. and Lydia (Martin) Martin.
As a youth, she accepted Christ, and at age 15 she joined Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church where she faithfully served the Lord.
She married Carl B. Martin on Sept. 6, 1964, in Elkhart County. He survives.
Also surviving are six children, Larry (Donna) Martin, Kevin (Rachel) Martin, Craig Martin and Beverly Martin, all of Goshen, Jane (Curtis) Martin of Nappanee and Andrea (Son) Ramer of Goshen; five sisters, JoAnn (Elam) Rutt of Ephrata, Pa., Elsie (Robert) Martin of Snover, Mich., Mary (Elvin) Shaum of Leetonia, Ohio, and Lydia Zimmerman and Gloria Martin, both of Middlebury; three brothers, Alvin (Naomi) Martin of Decker, Mich., Lloyd (Nila) Martin of Nappanee and Gregg (Irene) Martin of Columbiana, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren, Alyssa, Cameron, Weston, Brendan, Jamin, Kendric, Tristan, Derrick, Tyler, Kyran, Angela, Marita, Wyatt and Jesse Martin and Whitney Ramer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Amos Martin Jr. at 22 years old, and two grandchildren, Tamela Rose Martin at seven weeks old and Terrill Dean Martin at 12 weeks old.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. A service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church in Goshen. Home Ministry will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.

Born in Ephrata Township, Amos was a son of the late Amos O. and Annie G. (Landis) Martin. He was a member of Hinkletown Mennonite Church and worked as a Kitchen Cabinet Installer for Rutt Custom Kitchens retiring in 1988.
Amos is survived by two sons, Robert C. Martin of Ephrata, PA and Barry L. Martin, husband of Ruth, of Akron, PA; one stepdaughter, Sheryl, wife of Melvin Houck of Narvon, PA; one stepson, Earl E. Weaver, husband of Barbara, of Manheim, PA; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, two step-great-granddaughters; one sister, Nora Hoover of Ephrata, PA; and three brothers, Melvin Martin, husband of Dorothy, of Terre Hill, PA, Elam Martin, husband of Catherine, of Narvon, PA, and Lloyd Martin, husband of Anna Mary, of Memphis, MO.
In addition to his wives and parents, Amos was preceded in death by one sister, Annie Weaver, and four brothers, Norman, Alvin, Marvin, and Clyde Martin.
Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, and at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Hwy., Ephrata Township, PA 17522 from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, November 13. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church with the Rev. Glenn Sauder officiating. Place of interment will be the adjoining church cemetery.

SELINSGROVE - Anna S. Martin, 85, of Selinsgrove, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, Aug. 6, 2014, at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
Anna was born on May 20, 1929, in Penn Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Enos S. and Katie B. (Stauffer) Martin. She was married to George M. Martin, who survives. Her passing breaks a loving marital union of 641/2 years.
She attended the Kantz Parochial school.
Anna was a seamstress for 24 years at Shroyers Dress factory, Selinsgrove, and also assisted her husband with the family dairy farm.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, including flowers, traveling, puzzles, caring for animals and especially spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by three children and their spouses, Enos M. and Susan N. Martin, of Coopersburg, Mary A. and James R. Kiel, of Freeburg, and George E. and Melanie A. Martin, of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Alexander Martin, Peter Martin, Michael A. Kiel, Jamy M. Stenger and husband, Ken, and Zane L. Martin and wife, Caitlin; two great-grandsons, Cole Stenger and Levi Martin; one sister, Maria Graybill, of Selinsgrove; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Martha (Martin) Brubaker, of Port Trevorton; sister-in-law, Maddie Martin, of Kentucky; and nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Brubaker, and two brothers, Aaron and Menno Martin.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, followed by the funeral at 11, at Millmont Mennonite Church, 1310 Millmont Road, Millmont, with the ministry of the church officiating.
Burial will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.

Betty retired from M&M Mars after 29? years of service in chocolate production. She was a very active member of Grace Chapel, where she was a volunteer in the kitchen, a greeter and a member of the senior's group. Betty was an antique car collector, enjoyed metal detecting; she obtained great joy from the Christmas season as well as Christmas light & fireworks displays. Most of all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas H. Martin; her three daughters, Suzanne Hall and her husband Steven of West Hanover Township, Mary Jane Martin of Elizabethtown, Joanne Smith and her husband Daniel of Elizabethtown; a brother, Moses Garrison and his wife Linda of Palmyra; four sisters, Violet Taylor of Lebanon, Lucille Clugston and her husband Galen of Hummelstown, Susan Hoffman and her husband Robert of Naples, FL, Genevieve Lehman of Palmyra; four grandchildren, Brandon Martin, Jenifer Hall, Ashley Martin, Dakota Smith; two great granddaughters, Alexis Martin and Emma Fink.

Born February 11, 1928 in Arthur, IL, she was the 12th of Noah C. and Eliza (Yoder) Yoder's 13 children.
Clara Mae was the wife of the late George L. Martin who preceded her in death on November 25, 2003, one day shy of their 49th wedding anniversary.
She was a member of the Village Chapel Mennonite Church, Voganville.
Known for her gift of hospitality, Clara Mae also enjoyed gardening and her plants, sewing, playing games and in later years transporting her Amish friends.
Clara Mae loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The more at a gathering, the more she enjoyed it.
She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Elwood married to Nancy (Nye), New Holland; Kreta married to Brian Adair, Ephrata; George (Jr.) married to Linda (Horst), New Holland; Joyce married to Chris Kelley, Lancaster; Pastor Robert married to Sandra (Weaver), Morris Run; Silvanus married to Kay (Landis), East Earl; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Andrew Ray Yoder, Leonard, MO and a sister-in-law Vera Jane (Martin) married to Elvin Rohrer, Cochranville and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Travis Kelley and 11 siblings.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 10 a.m. at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel, 1100 Farm Crest Dr., Ephrata with Pastors Jeff Horst, Tom Philpot, and Lester Gehman officiating. Private interment in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. - LEBANON - Curtis Eugene Martin, 19, of Lebanon, died on Sunday, May 25, 2014, in a canoe accident in Clearfield County.
He was born in Ephrata on Aug. 6, 1994, a son of Cloyd R. and Dorcas H. (Sensenig) Martin, of Lebanon.
He was employed in the service department of Automatic Farm Systems, of Lebanon, and was a member of the Millbach Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are siblings, Lisa, Orinda, Judy, Cloyd LaRay and Jerry Martin; paternal grandparents, Paul and Anna Mae Martin, of Manheim; maternal grandparents, Leon and Eunice Sensenig, of Ephrata; and maternal great-grandmother, Lizzie Sensenig, of Vicksburg.
Visitors may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the home of Lester Zimmerman, 2 Moonstown Lane, Newmanstown. Please omit flowers. The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday in Millbach Mennonite Church, 3 N. Millbach Road, Newmanstown.

Martin, Dorothy Grace Kline, 92, of Harrisonburg, VA died July 29, 2014 at Sentara RMH Medical Center, Harrisonburg, VA. She was born February 11, 1922 in Manheim, PA, to Adam and Mae Flory Kline. Her husband of 70 years, Alvin Martin died last month.
Survived by her son, Larry Martin and wife, Gail of Harrisonburg; two grandchildren, Farrah Koogler and husband, Barry and Benjamin Martin and wife, Jennifer; four great granddaughters, Halle Koogler, Annabeth Koogler, Sadee Koogler and Chloe Martin, all of Mt. June Martin is survived by her two brothers, Robert Houser and Rodney Houser, Pennsylvania, as well as her five children, Richard Martin, California, Tim Martin, California, Robert Martin, Pennsylvania, Heidi Kuster, Tennessee, and Nanci Weaver, North Carolina. June has six grandchildren.
June was born to Harry Franklin Houser and Elizabeth Herr Houser on June 10, 1931, in Lancaster, Pa. She grew up on Big Spring Farm with her parents and her two brothers, and attended West Lampeter School. She and her family were members of Willow Street Mennonite Church. June graduated from York Secretarial School in York, Pa., and was employed by Armstrong Corp.
In 1952, she married Richard Oliver Martin (deceased), of Duchess, Alberta, Canada. They moved to Connecticut to carry out their voluntary services at Fairfield Psychiatric Hospital. There they also began their family. Their jobs took them to Richmond, Va., and to West Liberty, Ohio. Later they lived in Decatur, Ill., Collegeville, Pa., and retired in the Shenandoah Valley. In West Liberty, Ohio, June worked as administrative assistant in West Liberty Salem Elementary School, and was active in the school community as a Band Mother. As a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, she often led the children's choir and was an avid quilter.
In Harrisonburg, Va., June worked as an administrative assistant at James Madison University in both the Media Relations Office and the Men's Basketball Office. In more recent years, she volunteered at Gift and Thrift and in the Main Street Market at VMRC. At Park View Mennonite Church, she sang in the choir. June also spearheaded the women's comforter project for Park View Mennonite Women's Sewing, which supplied hundreds of comforters for international relief. June has blessed the lives of her friends and family with easy laughter, friendly comfort, and countless heavenly cookies and sweet rolls. A natural beauty, her smile was a steady reminder not to sweat the little things, but rather to enjoy life to its fullest. She had a knack with color, and was known for her well-designed comforters. She loved baseball, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Arrangements are with Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

NAPPANEE - Emma (Kulp) Martin, 90, of Nappanee, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at her residence after a short illness.
She was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Elkhart County, to Christian and Emma Elizabeth (Blosser) Kulp.
On March 14, 1948, she married Junior Martin at her parents' home. He preceded in death Sept. 5, 2005.
Surviving are her children, Dallas Lavon (Sandra, deceased) Martin of Topeka, Marciel Joyce (Dean) Martin of Nappanee, Donald Wayne (Esther) Martin of Decker, Mich., Verlin LeRoy (Charlotte) Martin of Bristol, Melba Jean (Luke) Hoover of New Paris, Delores Ann (Arthur) Bechtel of Marlette, Mich. and Lucinda Marie (Burnell) Martin of Ridgeland, Wis.; 47 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Martha Kulp of Goshen.

Floyd retired from Ford New Holland in 1991 after being employed for 40 years. It was there he acquired his nicknames "Curly" and "Baby Beef."
Floyd served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War as a medic at Fort Benning, GA. He attained the rank of Corporal. He loved to entertain us by telling us stories about that chapter in his life.
Floyd is survived by: daughters, Carol Garman (Gerald), Karen Fisher (Richard); two foster daughters, Ann Morris and Johann Neimer; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Weber (Richard). Floyd also helped rear a niece, Terri Kretlow (William). He is predeceased by a son, Dean Martin and a niece, Tina Gelnett.
Floyd enjoyed riding motorcycle, camping in their RV and spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed his great-grandchildren; a mention of them always brought a smile to his face. He was a member of Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers.
This gentle giant of a man with a loving, caring heart will greatly be missed by all who knew him. Our lives were truly blessed by his presence and life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Luther Care Activities Dept. for the care of Rosie, the resident therapy dog.

Ivan Martin was born in New Holland, Pennsylvania, to the late Leroy M. and Lizzie (Reiff) Martin. On May 24, 1980, Ivan was united in marriage to Arlene Martin. In 1995 they moved from Narvon, PA to Little Cedar, IA. Ivan was a self employed truck driver and also the manager at the Cedar Valley Produce Auction for the past ten years.
Ivan is survived by his wife Arlene Martin of Little Cedar, and six children: Gerald married to Lovella Weaver of Charles City, Iowa; Richard married to Sharon Nolt of Elma, Iowa; Charlene married to Ivan Ray Reiff of Floyd, Iowa; Ivan Ray Martin of Little Cedar; Carolyn married to Justin Zimmerman of Keosauqua, Iowa; and Rosanne Martin of Little Cedar. Joshua was a senior at Terre Hill Mennonite High School, Terre Hill. He loved to sing. Joshua was outgoing and friendly, he taught us how to persevere through trials, and never complained.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Levi and Martha Martin of Morgantown; and 5 siblings, Emily, wife of Tyler Sensenig of Reamstown, Katie Martin, Laura Martin, Timothy Martin, and Annie Martin, all at home.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Ruth Brubaker.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 29, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Weaverland Mennonite Church, East Earl Township. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the church, followed by funeral services held at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Brubaker officiating. Martin, Julia Mae, 72, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg. Born September 8, 1941 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Chester C. and Valera B. Lehman Martin. She was a 1959 graduate of the Shippensburg High School.
She is survived by three sisters, Janet A. Martin of Telford, PA, Jean V. Dickerson and husband Carl of Pasadena, CA, and Joan L. Nolt and husband Paul of Chambersburg; two brothers, Jerald L. Martin and wife Betty of Narvon, PA, and Jason L. Martin and wife Leora of Red Lion, PA; sister-in-law, Martha Martin of Glen Mills, PA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her brother Jay R. Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Rowe Mennonite Church, 754 Pinola Road, Shippensburg, PA with Minister John Horst officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Thomas L. She was born November 3, 1945 at Lebanon, Linn Co., Oregon to Alfred E. and Marjorie Ellen (Gerig) Nofziger. Alfred was born February 7, 1921 and died August 22, 1999. Marjorie was born September 26, 1923 and died April 18, 2013.
On August 21, 1971 at Lebanon, Oregon she was married to Richard Eugene Martin, who was born August 24, 1948 and survives.
Surviving are children, Matthew Martin (Charlotta Weaver); Janna Martin; Joy Manduno (Joseph); two grandchildren, and siblings, Nadine LeFrancis (Richard); Laurence Nofziger (Christine); Cheryl Berkey (Michael); Mark Nofziger (Dania); and Jodi Rich (Daniel).

NAPPANEE - Katherina "Katie" (Brubacher) Martin, 94, of Nappanee, died Thursday, Dec. 18, at her home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1920, in Brutus, Mich., to Peter and Sarah Ann (Brenneman) Brubacher.
On Nov. 16, 1943, she married Daniel S. Martin at her parents' home in Pennsylvania. He passed away Nov. 2, 2006.
She is survived by four daughters, Ida Weiler of Edina, Miss., Betsy Troyer of Fort St. John, British Columbia, Barbara Zimmerman of Nappanee and Lavina Kauffman of Hayward, Wis.; and three sons, Joe Martin, Emerson "Mike" Martin of Hayward and Ephraim Martin of Middlebury.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at the RMYC, C.R. 44, Nappanee. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church, Goshen.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.

He was born in Lancaster, July 12, 1940, son of the late Lester W. Martin and Elizabeth N. Martin. He was the loving husband of Alice Marie (Feister) Martin, with whom he celebrated 51 1/2 years of happiness.
Many of his passions included spending winters in Florida, renovating his home and playing cards with his many friends and family. Lester also enjoyed the special times with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As part of PA Mission Builders, he was the project manager for 7 years in Kailua-Kona, HI, WYAM base building new dorms readying young people pursuing their dreams of becoming missionaries. Lester had a passion for the Lord and if you knew him you felt and experienced his warmth, his servant's heart and his laugh, his perfect remarks always at the perfect time, his "Git R Done" attitude, his patience, his humble spirit, his steadfastness and strength, his unconditional quiet love. This is truly an awesome reflection of his Heavenly Father, with whom he now gets to spend eternity.
Lester is survived by a son, Kevin Andrew, married to Julie West Martin of Ephrata; three grandchildren, Shannon Nicole married to Jesse Steffy of Lancaster, Joshua David married to Nicole Mae Bridston of Kailua-Kona, HI, Jessica Michelle married to Jeremy Martin of Ephrata; four great grandchildren, Zander Ethan Steffy, Judah Andrew Martin and Hailey Joy and Joshua Wade Martin.
He is also survived by three brothers and one sister, Harlan M. & Frances (Martin), Troy, PA, E. Phares & Marie (Garman), Ephrata, PA, Carl & Gladys (Lapp), Port Royal, PA, Elizabeth Anne & Samuel Martin, Charlotte, NC.
Lester is preceded in death by a son, Sgt. Leslie Wade Martin.

She was born May 5, 1924, near Shelbyville, IL, to Dr. Julius A. and Viola (Hostetler) Schulz. Married to Landis C. Martin for 46 years, she faithfully followed Landis in ministry.
In the course of their lives, they and at least some of their children were blessed to have lived in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, Knoxville, TN (2-year pastorate), Sarasota, FL, Blountstown, FL and Burr Oak, MI, where Landis pastored the South Colon Mennonite Church for 17 years prior to his death in 1990. The older children have pleasant memories of ministry/God-seeking summers in or near Goshen, IN, Palmetto, FL, Gulfport, MS, Ponchatoula, LA and Atmore, AL. In 1993, Marie, Corlene, and their mother moved near Nathan in Fredericksburg, OH, and then in 2008, Marie and Corlene moved to an apartment attached to her son David's house near Lancaster, PA.
Survived by children, Carol (John) Yoder of Grantsville, MD, Nelson (Margaret) of Louisville, KY, David (Barbara) of Lancaster, PA, John (Jeanette) of Kihei, HI and Nathan (Ruth) of Fredericksburg, OH; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Corlene Schulz of Lancaster, PA; several sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Landis Carpenter Martin; a daughter-in-law, Mary Edna Martin; and an infant grandson.
Funeral service was February 8, 2014 at Mennonite Christian Assembly, Fredericksburg, OH. Burial was in the church cemetery.

HANOVER Markel Lynn Martin, 48, entered into God's eternal care Thursday, November 20, 2014, at home with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Grove) Martin, with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage. Born October 20, 1966, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of Doris H. Martin and the late Glenn E. Martin. Markel was a member of Herr's Ridge Mennonite Church, Gettysburg. Markel was the founder and owner of Mar-Bar Tire Service, which he started in 1987.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Markel is survived by his children, Lori Martin and fiance, Aaron Warner of Huntingdon, and Beverly Martin, Cheryl Martin, Michelle Martin, Emily Martin, and Devin Martin, all of Hanover; four brothers, Nolan Martin and wife, Shirley of Ephrata, Vern Martin and wife, Elaine of Poteau, Okla., Myron Martin and wife, Janet of Knoxville, Md., and Roy Martin and wife, Rhoda of Hanover; and three sisters, Cynthia Ulrich and husband, Ross of Africa, Marie Allgyer and husband, David of Molina, Fla., and Melisa Myers and husband, Darel of Knoxville, Md.

Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Emma Redcay Eberly. She was the loving wife of John Z. Martin, and they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in February of this year. A homemaker, Marlene attended Elizabethtown United Zion Church. Her interests included gardening, cooking, baking, sewing and was a loving caregiver to family and many others. She loved to spend time with her family, especially enjoyed playing card games and traveling to the mountains.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Brenda Mae wife of Dave Haines of Lock Haven, Jolene Lynn wife of Ben Trissler of Manheim; two grandchildren, Coral and Rolynn Trissler; and a sister, Dolores wife of Leon Weaver of Stevens.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Habecker and Anna Sensenig.

Rhoda H. Martin, age 88, of Lititz, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Landis Homes in Lititz, PA.
Born in New Danville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martin B. and Anna Harnish Thomas and wife of the late Harry G. Martin, who died in 1987.
Rhoda was employed in the food service department of the Mennonite Home in Lancaster. She previously had been employed at Pleasant Acres in York, PA.
She was a member of Rohrerstown Mennonite Church. She was formerly a member of the Stony Brook Mennonite Church.
Rhoda enjoyed Bible study, loved to garden, walk and spend time with friends and family. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving is a daughter, Beverly J. Martin, of Lancaster; a son, Richard L. Martin, husband of Michele, of Red Lion and a brother, Paul Thomas, of Goshen, IN and two grand cats. A son, James L. Martin, a daughter, Betty L. Martin; sisters, Esther Eisenberger and Ruth Thomas Taylor preceded Rhoda in death.

Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Barbara S. (Hollinger) Martin.
He recently celebrated his 68th wedding anniversary with his loving wife, Esther K. (Keener) Martin.
Richard was a graduate of Manheim Township High School and the Lancaster Business College. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
Richard was a partner at Henry E. Martin and Sons, International Truck Sales and Service, retiring from the family business at age 55. He then became Executive Director of Menno Housing and Tabor Community Services, pursuing his passion for providing low-income families with affordable housing. He also established and operated a food bank at Arbor Place in Lancaster City.
Throughout the years, Richard served faithfully at Neffsville Mennonite Church in various capacities.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his five children: Randolph H. Martin, husband of Sherry (DeRosay) Martin, Roger E. Martin, husband of Shirley (Richer) Martin, Julie (Martin) Beittel, wife of Richard A. Beittel, Richard H. Martin, husband of Pamela (Sylvester) Martin, and Jennie (Martin) Todd, wife of Don Todd. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Henry E. Martin and Eugene H. Martin.

Ruth Evangeline Martin, 87, Goshen, died at 9:12 a.m. June 17, 2014 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She was born October 15, 1926 at Streetsboro, Ohio to Menno J. & Kate (Miller) Nussbaum. She married Allen S. Martin on January 4, 1955 in La Plata, Puerto Rico. He survives.
She attended Apple Creek (OH) High School for three years, and graduated as Valedictorian from Hesston Academy in 1944. She attended Hesston College in Kansas and received an AA in 1948. In 1949-50 she did voluntary service at La Plata Mennonite Project in Puerto Rico. In 1953 she graduated from Eastern Mennonite College with in Elementary Education. She taught school in Kansas, Idaho, and Puerto Rico. She taught grades K-2 at Academia Menonita Summit Hills, in San Juan, during the school's initial years of operation, where she was a founding director.
She always enjoyed music and participated in choirs at colleges and churches she attended. She read widely, enjoying literature, poetry, history, inspirational writings, and newspapers to keep informed of local and world news. She loved puns and a good game of Scrabble.
While her husband was in active medical practice in Shipshewana she was a member of the Indiana Medical Auxiliary Assn. for many years. She committed her life to Christ as a young girl, and was baptized as an early elementary child. In her later years she was a member of College Mennonite Church in Goshen.
She is survived by four daughters, Anita Martin, MD (Russ Vernon), Yorktown, IN; Rebecca Martin (Jim Picht), Hudson, OH; Rachel Stutzman (Steve), Topeka, KS; and Linda Martin Burkholder (Brian), Harrisonburg, VA; two sons, David A. Martin, MD (Debra), Knoxville, TN; and Jerald Martin, Baton Rouge, LA; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are brothers, George H. (Viola) Nussbaum and John W. Nussbaum.

GOSHEN - Ruth Leaman Martin, 96, of Goshen, died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.
She was born Aug. 26, 1918, in Lancaster, Pa., to the late M. Rohrer Leaman and Elizabeth (Leaman) Leaman.
She married Enos G. Martin on Nov. 16, 1946, in Lancaster.
Surviving are her children, Esther (William) Gibble of Manheim, Pa., Miriam (David) Nichols of Choctaw, Okla., and Jay (Christine) Martin of Elkhart; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Susan Christophel in 1976, and five sisters.
She was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church and was part of the Auxiliary at Greencroft. She enjoyed needlework, plants and flowers.
Visitation will for two hours prior to the 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, funeral service at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Mark Schloneger will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery County.

Early in her life, Ruth worked as a seamstress in a sewing factory, but spent most of her years as a homemaker. She was a member of Goodville Mennonite Church and enjoyed quilting and reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children: Lester Z. married to Janet (Nolt) Martin, Morgantown; Wilmer Z. married to Joyce (Kauffman) Martin, Reading; Nelson Z. Martin, at home; Janice Z. Martin, Landisville; Diane Z. married to Grant Price, Pennsburg; and two grandchildren: Julie married to Todd Weber and Chad married to Michelle (Ringler) Martin.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: John and George Zimmerman and Verna Shirk.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Goodville Mennonite Church with Pastors Bruce Sauder and Kelly Martin officiating. A daughter of the late Elmer K. and Rebecca (Kennel) Beiler, she had lived in East Earl since 1970. She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church where she had been Librarian until recently, as well as previously teaching Sunday School.
Sherrill was a 1964 graduate of L.M.S. and an L.P.N. graduate of Lancaster School of Nursing, having worked briefly at Jennersville Hospital. She later worked parttime for Conestoga Wood Specialties for 25 years.
She enjoyed walking, gardening, and traveling, but her greatest passion for the past 18 years was the countless hours she invested into the lives of her eight grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons, Kent M., married to Cindy (Martin) Martin of Mohnton, Devon W., married to Amy S. (Martin) Martin of Newmanstown, and Delayne G. Martin of Stevens, eight grandchildren, and her sisters, Joy Horst, Reinholds, Sue, married to Tim Fisher, Lancaster, and J. Marlene Beiler of Lancaster, and her brother, E. Kenneth, married to Judy (Thompson) Beiler.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Marlin.

Born in Goodville, he was the son of the late Wayne Sauder and Anna (Witmer) Martin. He was married 69 years on Dec. 31 to Betty (Gehman) Martin.
Wayne owned and operated Goodville Insurance Management in Goodville for many years. He was a lifetime member of Goodville Mennonite Church and served on the board of Teen Challenge of Rehrersburg, Goodville Mutual Casualty Company, and Mennonite Mutual Indemnity.
He had a lifelong interest in computers and technology and volunteered at the Ephrata Re-Uzit refurbishing computers. He also helped bring Goodville Mutual into the digital age. He was earlier a private pilot while working for Goodville Mutual.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Phyllis J. Strickland of Goodville, Donna M., married to Larry Seiler of Auburn, IN, Sandra Jane, married to Donald Wilt of Etters, PA, Wayne Gary, married to Marilyn (Strutchens) Martin of Auburn, AL, Corinne Joan, married to Lamine Diop of Harrisonburg, VA; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

NAPPANEE - Arlene M. Mast, 79, of Nappanee, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, June 22, at Elkhart General Hospital, after a brief illness. She had been a patient there for two weeks.
She was born July 3, 1934, in Nappanee to Wilbur and Pearl (Ganger) Lehman.
On Aug. 17, 1952, she married Robert J. Mast at North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee. He preceded her in death Jan. 18, 2014.
Arlene lived her life in Nappanee and was a 1952 graduate of Nappanee High School. She was a homemaker and assisted in the family business, Mast Upholstering. Arlene loved her family and grandchildren. She attended Nappanee Missionary Church and Bay Shore Mennonite Church in Sarasota, Fla., where she spent the winters.
Surviving are her children, Marcia (Jerry) Bernaert of New Paris, Denny (Karen) Mast and Jim (Patty) Mast, both of Nappanee; grandchildren Jason Mast, Michelle Marshall, Adam Mast, Lindsey Ramer, Ben Bernaert and Darin Bernaert; great-grandchildren Tenley and Paisley Marshall; sister, Marilyn (Lewis) Hochstedler of Nappanee; and brother, Paul (Mary Alice) Lehman of Elkhart.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Mast.

Lola M. Mast, 96, of Kokomo, IN, passed away at 10:25 A.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Miami County, IN on July 9, 1917 the daughter of Niles and Sadie Hoffman Slabaugh. Lola married Gerald R. Mast, in her home, on December 29, 1938 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1997.
Lola was a 1935 graduate of Clay Township High School and she was the last living member of her class. She was a member of the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church. Lola lovingly raised her family in the home she was born in and lived her entire life. Lola and Gerald wintered in Florida for several years.
Lola is survived by her daughters, Waneta Haarer and her husband Don of Goshen, IN, Joyce Golden and her husband Jerry of Goshen, IN, a son, Weldon Mast and his wife Linda of Kokomo, IN, 9 Grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Clifford Frey of Goshen, IN. A service celebrating the life of Lola M. Mast will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church with Rev. Harold Mast officiating. Burial will follow at Mast Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. and 12:30 to 2:30 P.M., Saturday, at the church, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church.

NAPPANEE - Robert J. Mast, 81, of Nappanee, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Doctor's Hospital in Sarasota, Fla., where he had been a patient for four days, after an extended illness.
He was born July 18, 1932, in Nappanee to the late Jacob and Amanda (Miller) Mast.
On Aug. 17, 1952, he married Arlene Lehman at North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee.
Mr. Mast was a lifetime resident of Nappanee. He founded Mast Upholstering in 1954, which continues today as a family business. He attended Nappanee Missionary Church. Robert was a member of Gideons and the John Deere 2-Cylinder Club. He had also been a Fuller Brush dealer.
Mr. Mast is survived by his wife, Arlene; daughter Marcia (Jerry) Bernaert of New Paris; sons Denny (Karen) Mast and Jim (Patty) Mast, both of Nappanee; grandchildren Jason Mast, Michelle Marshall, Adam Mast, Lindsey Mast, Ben Bernaert and Darin Bernaert; great-grandchildren Tenley Mast and Paisley Mast; and brothers Lester (Eloise) Mast of Milford and Ray (Marge) Mast of Valparaiso.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald, and a brother, Gilbert.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and for one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Nappanee Missionary Church. Pastor Norm Reimer and Pastor Marvin Engbrecht will officiate. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.

NAPPANEE - Ruby Mast, 94, of Nappanee, died at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
On Feb. 21, 1940, she married Abe L. Mast. He preceded her in death Oct. 23, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Levi A. Mast of Montezuma, Ga., and Edwin A. Mast of Goshen; four daughters, Rachel Graber of Sarasota, Fla., Irene Yoder of Wakarusa and Anna Lou Helmuth and Marie Wengerd, both of Nappanee; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward R. Miller of Goshen, Marvin D. Miller of Middlebury and Roman Miller Jr. of Nappanee; three sisters, Katie Mullet of Etna Green, Elnora Yoder of Nappanee and Lydia Mae Yoder of Sarasota.
Family and friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at United Christian School in Nappanee. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at Fairview A. M. Church.

He was born April 1, 1934 at Bad Axe, MI to Richard and Elizaberth Viola (Gunden) Maust. Richard was born February 21, 1893 and died April 30, 1982. Elizabeth was born June 10, 1896 anddied May 6, 1981.
On August 2, 1958 at Harrisonburg, VA he was married to Miriam Pellman, who was born December 15, 1935 and survives.
Surviving are children, Chris Maust (Liz Albertson), and Janice Maust Hedrick (Tim Hedrick); four grandchildren, and a brother, Clayton Maust (Thelma).
His siblings, Arthur, Earl, Alta, Edgar, Doris, Fern, and Josephine preceded him in death.
Visitation was July 6, 2014.
Memorial services were held August 9, 2014 at Waterloo North Mennonite Church, Waterloo, Ontario with burial in Roseville Mennonite Cemetery, Roseville, Ontario .

He retired as a machinist from Flinchbaugh Engineering Inc., Hallam and had been a welder and inspector with Alto Corporation and Sandvik Inc. of York. He was a member of Grantham BIC Church. Harold enjoyed life at Messiah Village, especially taking courses through the Pathways Institute and volunteering as a shuttle car driver.
Surviving are his wife, Lucy (Lehman) Mellinger; 2 daughters, Edie Asbury and husband Dan of Mechanicsburg, Ginnie Romero and husband Sergio of Chesapeake, VA; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Lois Mellinger of Strasburg and Martha Martin of Seneca Rocks, WV.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna M. (Brubaker) Mellinger, and 2 sisters, Erma Shirk and Ellene Myer.
Services 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Grantham BIC Church where there will be a visitation from 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Manor BIC Church Cemetery, Lancaster at the convenience of the family.

Eugene was the loving husband of Jean S. Hollinger Metzler, and they observed their 65th wedding anniversary in February of this year. For most of his life, Eugene was the owner and operator of the family farm in Rapho Township. Eugene also worked throughout the years for the Manheim Auto Auction, helped at numerous farmers markets for Richard M. Heagy's Meats, and S. Clyde Weavers of East Petersburg, and the former Carper's Meats in Manheim. He was an active and faithful member of Erisman Mennonite Church where he served as a former trustee. His interests included: photography, watching his bluebirds, caring for sheep in his beautiful pasture, flower gardening, playing the mandolin, and listening to Southern Gospel Music. He will be remembered by his family for his strong Christian faith, for his passionate love for family, and for his gentle and caring spirit.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jean, are four children: K. Marlene wife of Gary L. Knode of Shippensburg, Darwin husband of Pat Hosler Metzler of Lititz, Gerald husband of Mary Stoudt Metzler of Harleysville, C. LeAnn wife of Rick Parmer of Mount Joy, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, four brothers: Earl husband of Rhoda Metzler of Willow Street, Richard husband of Reba Metzler, Glenn husband of Faye Metzler, Carl husband of Marian Metzler, all of Manheim, and a sister, Joann wife of John Herr of Lititz.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Eugene's memorial service at the Erisman Mennonite Church, 8 South Erisman Road, Manheim, on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday afternoon from 2:30 PM till the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Erisman Mennonite Cemetery.

WAKARUSA - Sherry Jo Meyers, 48, of Wakarusa, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at home.
She was born May 21, 1965, in Elkhart to Harold and Virginia (Holaway) Weldy.
Surviving are her children, Justin Williams (Tim Flickinger) of Wakarusa, Stephanie Meyers of Nappanee and Heather Meyers of Wakarusa; mother Virginia Weldy of Wakarusa; sisters Sara (Mike) Reynolds of Wakarusa, Sue (Dave) Weaver of Golfport, Miss., and Sandra Weldy of Richmond, Va.; and brothers Henry (Judy) Weldy of White Pigeon, Mich., Dan Weldy of Syracuse and Mike (Cindie) Weldy of Wakarusa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Weldy, and stepfather, Joe Skiles.
She worked at Forrest River (previously Champion, and Firan) in Elkhart for 29 years. She was a member of Holdeman Mennonite Church, Wakarusa. She attended Penn High School. Sherry had a big heart, and was always looking to help everyone.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, funeral service at Holdeman Mennonite Church, Wakarusa. Burial will be in Olive (West) Cemetery.
