Esther was a piano teacher all her life.  She never married.

Services: Erisman Mennonite Church, 8 S. Erisman Rd., Manheim, Pa. on Tuesday Feb. 25, 2003, at 2 p.m. with Pastor John O. Yoder and Pastor Andrew Miller officiating.  Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Eby, Edna Elizabeth Diller, 83, of 5219 Snider Road, Chambersburg, PA died Friday, May 23, 2003, at her home.

Born Dec. 29, 1919, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Stauffer and Clara Siegrist Diller.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Waynecastle Mennonite Church near Waynesboro, Pa.

She is survived by her husband, David Leroy Eby, whom she married Aug. 15, 1940; a daughter, Rachel Martin of St. Thomas, Pa.; eight sons, Ray Eby of Flintstone, Md., Mark Eby of St. Thomas, Carl Eby of Willowstreet, Pa., Nathan Eby of Robesonia, Pa., John Eby of Newburg, Pa., Luke Eby and Omar Eby, both of Chambersburg, and Earl Eby of the Dominican Republic; 47 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. Waynecastle Mennonite Church, Waynesboro. Ministers Larry Weber, Marvin Martin, Mahlon Eby and Sanford Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Arrangements are by Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Eby, Mary M. Bixler Leichty


May 21, 1912 -July 11, 2003

WAKARUSA - Friends of Mary M. (Leichty) Eby, 91, of S.R.119, may call
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Olive Mennonite Church. Her body will lay in state for one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service Tuesday, also at the church. The Rev. Russell Krabill, the retired former pastor of the church, and the Rev. Peter Buller, interim pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Olive (West) Cemetery.

Mrs. Eby died at 10 a.m. Friday (July 11, 2003) at Miller's Merry Manor.

She was born May 21, 1912, in Elkhart County to Fred and Martha (Beutler) Bixler. She married John S. Leichty on April 18, 1942. He died Oct. 17, 1974.
 
She married Russell B. Eby on Feb. 10, 1990, at Olive Mennonite Church. He died May 7, 2002.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Rachel) Pittman of Nappanee and Janice Leichty of Phoenix; one son, James (Kathy) Leichty of Goshen; one stepdaughter, Mrs. James (Jeanette) Hostetler of West Liberty, Ohio; one stepson, Clare Eby of Littlefork, Minn.; three sisters, Grace Weldy of Wakarusa, Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Tyson of Goshen and Bertha Shantz of Elkhart; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

A son, John E. Leichty, is deceased.

Mrs. Eby was a homemaker and had operated a private home cleaning service for years. She was a member of Olive Mennonite Church and served on its funeral dinner committee for many years. She was a member of the church's WMS Sewing group and enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening, yard work and helping other people.

Rieth- Rohrer- Ehret- Lienhart Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Eisenberger, Esther H
., 79, of Lancaster, PA. died  August 3, 2003 at the Landis Homes, Lititz, PA, She was born at Lancaster, PA to Martin B. and Anna Harnish Thomas. She was married 57 years to George D. Eisenberger, Sr. and surives.

A member of the Neffsville Mennonite Church.

Surviving are sons, George, Jr. & Marian Eberly Eisenberger of Willow Street, PA; James & Carol Zimmerman Eisenberger of New Providence, PA; four daughters, Joyce & Don Deiter of Lancaster, PA;  Judy & Linford Burkhart of Willow Street,PA;  Janice & Lester Kreider of Leola, PA and Donna & Eli Betancourt of Lancaster, PA  Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a sister Rhoda Martin of Lancaster, PA; and a brother Paul & Lou Parker Thomas of Goshen, IN. She was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Taylor.

Funeral services were held August 7, 2003 at Neffsville Mennonite Church, Lancaster, PA.with Rev. Art Dyck and Rev. Donald Good officiating. With burial in the Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA.

Born: 12-21-1984, Ronks, Pa. Died: 12-14-2003, Caernarvon Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa.

Son of: Elam B. and Verna Mae Beiler Esh of Ronks, Pa.

Survivors: Besides his parents, sister, Sadie (Samuel) Zook of Bird-In-Hand, Pa., and Naomi (Leroy) Petersheim of Ronks, Pa.; a brother, Elmer, at home.  Paternal grandmother, Sadie Esh of Ronks, Pa.  Maternal grandmother, Mary B. Beiler of Ronks, Pa.

Mervin attended the Old Order Amish Church.  He was a farmer.

Preceded in death by five sisters, Elva Rutt, Mabel Lefever, Anna Sauder, Martha Sauder and Ruth Denlinger; and brothers Paul, Raymond and Isaac Sauder.

Elizabeth was a 1943 graduate of Lancaster Mennonite High School and a member of Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church.  She and her husband
ran the Leaman Place Store until 1975. 

Services: Paradise Mennonite Church, 148 Singer Ave., Paradise, Pa. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert G. Zook officiating.
Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Fielitz, Dale A

(1916 - 2003)
ARCHBOLD - Dale A. Fielitz, 87, of Archbold, died Monday morning, Oct. 20, 2003, at the Toledo Hospital, where he was a patient since Wednesday. 
Born Sept. 23, 1916, near Stryker, to Verna (Graber) and John Fielitz Sr., he married Vieanna Zaerr on Feb. 22, 1942, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 23, 2003.
A lifelong resident of the Stryker/Archbold area, he was a wood craftsman making church furniture at Sauder Manufacturing in Archbold for 28 years before retiring in 1981.  Since retirement, he volunteered at MCC Self Help at Akron, Pa., for two  years, and a number of years at Sauder Village as a cooper. He was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold and a past member for many years at the Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker. He was also a member of Gideon's International.
Surviving is a son, Jon (and wife, Carol) Fielitz of Dalton; two daughters, Mrs. Rodney (Sandra) Nofziger of Pettisville and Mrs. Bruce (JoAnne) Rupp of Archbold; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Archie (Ruby) Fielitz and John Fielitz Jr., both of Archbold; and a sister, Orpha Klopfenstein of Archbold.
Preceding him in death in addition to his wife, were his parents; a granddaughter, Melissa Rupp; two brothers, Maynard Fielitz and Gaylord Fielitz; and a sister, Wanetta Rufenacht.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Fairlawn Chapel.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Zion Mennonite Church with Pastors Ron Guengerich, Anne Stuckey and Mona Sauder to officiate. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Zion Mennonite Church or the Gideon's International.

Preceded in death by four sons, Aaron, Moses, David and Jonas; a brother, David Esh; and three sisters, Barbara Smucker, Malinda Stoltzfoos, and Lizzie Miller.

Rebecca was a member of Old Order Amish Church.

Services: From the late home 74 S. Ronks Road, Ronks, Pa. on Thursday 9:00 a.m.  Interment in Beiler Amish Cem., Ronks, Pa.  Family being served by Furman Home For Funerals, Leola, Pa.
